My 1974 Camaro spent more than three months going in and out of their shop, and the main issue I brought it in for was never fixed. Along the way, they found several other problems, and I ended up paying over $4,000. When they finally told me the car was repaired, it broke down within an hour of picking it up. The car is now at another shop, where mechanics are correcting issues that Vintage Customs should have already taken care of. They might be great with certain classic cars, but I cannot recommend this shop for classic Camaro(s). The friendliness was there, but the workmanship and accountability were not.

Later he was able to get us a pass so we can go there on our own, too. There never was any pressure to be done selecting the fabrics to start work, and we certainly took our time to find the right colors and materials. Because that selection is very important and he is cognizant of it. When the selection was done, he came to us to pick everything up and did the work quicker than we thought it would have been possible since we extended the scope of the work on the fly: we decided to replace all the existing 23 year old seat and back foam in addition to re-upholstering, also grease up the rotating stools, add nonscratch pads to legs, and apply two layers of Scotchguard. Everything happened smoothly, with wonderful timely communication along the way, and finally delivery with everything carefully wrapped up in plastic for protection. The final result vowed us! No amount of handwaving and slick talk will convince me that they need that much time in labor and no parts. The time it would have taken them was 8 days - everywhere else was 2-4 days. I had my car taken apart, cleaned, dried, and detailed and out back together to a very high standard for less time and money. This is just a word or warning - shop around. When they quote you without even looking through an open door, that's when you know they have too much work to give you a fair shake. Sure was a pretty building though!

We had two Dania type recliners and ottomans that had served us well for close to 30 years. These…read morebeloved chairs were getting quite worn so we contacted South Upholstery after a search of companies with good reviews. We live in Seattle but visited their shop and picked the leather fabric that we liked. They picked up our chairs and ottomans as soon as the leather fabric arrived as promised. They finished them in a reasonable amount of time and returned them back to our condo. We are extremely happy with the job and now have our favorite chairs back in place and everyone who sees them agree they are absolutely beautiful. The process was flawless until the final payment. The day they were delivered we had to leave immediately to pick up a family member who was waiting at the airport. In the chaos the delivery people did not pick up the check and we forgot to remind them. We were halfway to the airport when we were called by Elvira. Elvira was very angry and would not let us mail the check. We offered to Zelle the balance but she said they did not have a Zelle account which is very easy to set up. We had to give them our credit card and then we were charged the 3% charge fee which was a substantial amount. We didn't feel it was handled in a fair way. Elvira was quite unreasonable as it was an unintentional mistake made by them as well as us. The exchange left us with a bad feeling even though everything else went perfectly.
