The food was fresh and full of flavor. The lamb stood was tender, very well cooked, and without the strong gamey taste it can sometimes have. The sides were great too, but I'd suggest ordering more than two if you're dining as a pair. The space is beautiful and sets a nice mood for a date night or dinner out with friends. The only setback was the service, it felt a bit slow. Almost seemed like the staff might've been stretched thin, as we waited quite a while for water, drinks, and to settle the bill. Fitzgerald is extremely amazing! The ambience and the service from when you first step through the door is incredible. Then there are the drinks! I was able to ask the bartender for recommendations and followed both of them. Both were excellent and lived up to the reputation of the place I'd been hearing of all week! read more

We decided to return to Fitzgerald for our wedding anniversary after really enjoying our experience the last time. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to our expectations. The menu items that interested us were few and far between this time. I decided to order the lobster pasta since we had a version of it last time that we enjoyed. It was quite expensive at 54 euros or so. The flavor was good, but the price was not warranted. I don't think the pasta was homemade. My husband got a stuffed fish dish and said it was only okay as well. Neither of us liked the cocktails they made us. It might've been due to a language barrier with the waitress not understanding what we were trying to order. We waited over an hour for our bill after finishing both our food and cocktails. The restaurant wasn't busy. We know the French like to relax at meals, but this seemed excessive. We were tired after a long day of traveling and ready to go. Our waitress had to be flagged down. She was good overall, but we were mad to find her pressuring us for a tip afterwards. The lowest amount to choose on the card reader was 10%. We know tipping isn't typical in France, especially this high. We felt taken advantage of since she clearly knew we were visitors. It made us upset and uncomfortable. Also, no one acknowledged it being our anniversary, even though it was written in our reservation. We planned to try the speakeasy in the back, but it was empty. We heard someone say it doesn't start until 10:30 PM or later. After recommending this place to others visiting Paris, we will not be returning ourselves. read more

I was here over a year ago and never had the chance to finish this review. I'll make it short and sweet. If in this area of Paris and you want a late night vibe, this is your place. I found it via Google as it was one of the only places open after a night visit to the Eiffel Tower. Had a great bottle of wine and satisfying (though not mind-blowing) food. There is a separate dance/music area that was diverse in music and overall fun. Service was a little slow but attentive and nice when speaking with patrons. read more

We were looking for something nice within walking distance from our hotel (Hotel Muguet). Fitzgerald sounded interesting and had some good reviews, so we tried it. It was so good that we came back a few days later. First, Fitzgerald is both a restaurant (main floor) and a "speakeasy" (lower floor). We only experienced the restaurant, but we popped into the speakeasy for a look and it looked like it would be a lot of fun for drinks (and music later in the evening). Our first night, we showed up a little before 5:45, only to find that they weren't open for dinner until 6. They invited us in anyway, gave us a table and waters, and even started taking our meal orders before opening, which was a nice start. The first night, I tried the "Vitello tonnato". Wow - this was an astoundingly good starter. Very thinly sliced veal, covered with a delicious sauce of tuna and caper mayonnaise. Absolutely recommended. My wife had the thick and creamy soup ("Heirloom tomato gazpacho"), which she loved and had the second visit as well. For the main, I had a very good mushroom risotto. I was looking for something rather light (having had a late lunch), but it turned out that the mushroom risotto was very good but also very, very rich. I felt bad leaving nearly half of it uneaten, as it was delicious - it was just too filling for me at that point. We passed on the desserts - we were both too full from the late lunch to appreciate them this night. The second visit, I tried the Pollack ceviche. When I started to order, the waiter asked if I had tried the Vitello tonnato. I should have listened and had that again. While the Pollack ceviche was interesting, I personally prefer the Southern California/Mexican ceviches, which are spicier and use more lime. The Pollack ceviche used "leche del tigre with citrus fruit" which was more of a fruit salad than what I consider a traditional ceviche. My wife again went with the soup and was not disappointed. For the main, I went with the Linguine with lobster. This had a great, flavorful pink sauce over the linguine, with large chunks of lobster embedded in the pasta. A great choice and one that I completely finished - using some of the very crusty bread to mop up the remaining sauce. My wife had a dish of a large portion of salmon on a bed of (rice? memory is the second thing that goes, right?). Very good and she enjoyed it. For dessert, I had the "Red Fruit Pavlova" and my wife had the Chocolate Mousse. I wasn't thinking when I ordered the Pavlova, as I am allergic to strawberries and guess what the "red fruit" was. It was liberally decked with strawberries. My wife ate the strawberries, but at least I was able to enjoy the ice cream and the meringue, which were very good. She allowed me a couple of small spoonfuls of her Mousse, which was full and rich. Service was excellent. Super-friendly both days, helpful, offering good suggestions for wines and individual courses. Sorry about no photos - being jet-lagged from the 11-hour flight makes everything a little fuzzy the first couple of days in Paris. read more

Fitzgerald is a must-visit when in Paris! A friend recommended we go while visiting and it did not disappoint! Our server was kind and witty, her humor added so much to our experience! The steak and potatoes were delicious and the bread was always warm. We came for dinner and had 6pm reservations, the kitchen opens right at 6, their signage was a little confusing saying they served all day and we showed up a few minutes early and they informed us dinner service would start at 6. I would recommend an earlier reservation before they get busier as the night goes on especially with the Olympics coming up. We sat outside and it was lovely, the inside of the restaurant was also beautiful. Overall, a great experience and their dessert was incredible! read more

Stumbled in here on my way to getting completely lost (on purpose) in Paris. Have a friend with the same name and was pleasantly supposed to tell him that his name is well represented in Paris. I'm always on the search for speakeasy's in every major city and although this is more of a somewhat hidden lobby bar the mixologist made the experience authentic and enjoyable. So Chrk @sochrk on IG is a master craftsman of vintage and some proprietary cocktails and a blast to talk to about spirits, art and travel. We've remained friends and I look forward to a quick return to this swanky watering hole. read more

I went with my cousin to Fitzgerald. The design is classy like a lounge. There is also a back room for private event, really nice and relax. The place is very clean and healthy, which is nice in paris. The owner Medhi was absolutely fabulous. He entertained us all the night with a great sense of humour and fantastic personality. He is a good person. The pricing is fair and reasonable, the service is fast and the staff is welcoming you with the smile. Coming from the US, I had to recognize that the service was excellent, far from the Parisian cliché of busy waiters. I definitely recommend this place. It's a gem. read more

On a recent trip to Paris, I researched several restaurants. Fitzgerald made my list, but not the final itinerary. Surprisingly, on a walkabout around Paris, we accidentally stumbled upon Fitzgerald. Serendipity! Given this coincidence, we felt that we had to stop for a drink and a bite. Unfortunately, to our dismay, we were absolutely ignored. Too bad! We were thirsty with € to spend. The speakeasy lounge "downstairs" looked cool. I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we will never know.... With so many great places in Paris, don't waste your time here. I grade hard. This is what i have to say. Great food good food alothough my steak was a little over cooked and chicken a little dry everything else food wise was good. Service on the other was horrible. So unorganized. So slow. Had to keep asking and asking for things. They took the longest for drinks for food switch for the check. We sat sweating and sweating it was so hot had to flag people down that was just horrible. read more

We were delighted to stumble upon a great cocktail bar - a rarity in this neighborhood. Go through the restaurant and past the padded doors and prepare to transport yourself to a Havana-esque cocktail experience. Favorite place in the area, nice for chilling on the terrace or in the bar with apero style small plates and a cocktail. Dinner also great. Fantastic in every way possible. Super nice staff with a creative and craft cocktail menu. Ask for the Truffle Gouda for an amazing appetizer and all the main courses are great as well. There is a hidden speakeasy inside that most would not notice from the outside so be sure to explore the space. At night / late expect a fun crowd and sometimes a DJ!
