Hi, I first used GitFit about a year ago when the rod on my elliptical snapped in half. Ryan and I…read moretexted back and forth and I shared photos of it and it was all very friendly and cordial. I did some research on the part since it was obvious what was wrong so I knew what the price for the part was. Ryan quoted me the same price and since he was already ordering parts, he agreed to add it to his order and pay for the shipping (I believe was $15 or $20) so that was great. He came out on time and fixed the elliptical for the trip charge ($90 I believe). I'm happy to report that the elliptical is still running great. About a month ago our recumbent bike lost all of its resistance and had no power to the unit. I also have a NordicTrack treadmill that had a belt issue and wasn't being used so he looked at that too. Having had such a great experience with GitFit a year ago, I texted Ryan back and sent him pictures the broken treadmill piece and a video of what the bike was doing. He was able to fix the treadmill by adding long screws in the rear of the machine and some metal plates and this got the track back in line (I've since put on about 50 miles since then and it works great). The recumbent bike had bigger issues. I had researched the problem and all symptoms pointed to a bad flywheel This part cost close to $500 dollars. Ryan explained how the problem is with the bearing portion of the flywheel and not the flywheel itself; however; you can't by a replacement bearing unit. Ryan asked if he could take the flywheel home and order some bearings from overseas and replace them in my old flywheel. I agreed and he put the order in. Since the bearings came from China, it took a few weeks to get here, but they made it. Ryan came over today and installed the flywheel and it works like a champ again. The resistance changes when you request it and it runs like it was brand new. I also needed a wiring harness that lights up the display and also controls the electronics that you push to adjust the resistance and select courses and things like that. I looked that part up too and it was going to cost about $75. He was shocked and said that just the connector piece really was all that needed to be replaced. He took a harness salvaged from another bike and cut off the connector and cut/soldered it onto my harness. The repair cost for the flywheel was $60 (so much better than replacing it for $500) and the harness fix was only $15 (a lot better than $75). He didn't charge me for a second visit to fix the bike. I am very satisfied with Ryan and GitFit. He is such a friendly guy and knows what he is doing. He communicated with me many times via text and phone and went out of his way to save me a ton of money on my little-used elliptical. Without his suggestions, I would not have paid $575+ dollars in parts to repair it ... I would've bought a new one. I highly recommend GitFit and can't praise them enough.

Their selection for The North Face, Patagonia, etc. is minimal. However, every time I come to this location, staff are friendly and the store is clean. If I happen to need assistance, someone is willing to help. Thankfully they carry a nice selection of workout apparel, including Nike, Under Armour, CALIA, and their very own DSG brand. They also have a nice variety of sport-specific gear-- baseball, football, basketball, soccer, etc. They offer leisure and/or sport equipment, such as for cycling, hiking, indoor exercise/training, fishing, hunting, etc. Their shoe department is sufficient, but it isn't extensive. They offer the major shoe brands for running, walking, training, and lifestyle use, but you're not going to find A TON of styles for each; it isn't a SHOE store with that kind of inventory. But it's nice to see what you can get in-store, or if the store can order something for you from their website (dickssportinggoods.com). I love HIIT workouts at OTF and I enjoy sports and being outdoors, so this store is my little slice of heaven for meeting all my sport-related needs!

While the store is well stocked with helpful and professional folks it's just a personal decision that I choose not to patronize the Dick's stores due to, in my opinion, bad corporate decision making. Again, a personal belief that public companies should maintain political neutrality and avoid the adoption of woke policies, and focus instead on their primary objective of providing valuable products and services to customers. It appears that I'm far from the only one who feels this way but it shouldn't come as a surprise because at company adopting controversial and divisive policies should know that they likely run the risk of alienating a significant portion of their customer base. It's probably the case since Dick's continues to drop in profitability due to the nature of policies the company either directly or indirectly supported. Don't get me wrong, free speech is vital regardless, and free trade and business should always be protected. I'm just personally ticked at any company, regardless of politics or beliefs, who feel it necessary to implement, in my opinion, stupid policies on their customers and employees. Common sense dictates that maintaining political neutrality best allows companies to focus on serving all customers, regardless of their personal beliefs, and ensures that they do not lose business due to divisive politics. Bottom line: If companies are truly committed to addressing social issues, they should focus on substantive actions, such as improving working conditions, investing in education and training programs, or contributing to local community initiatives.

There are still guys working out here who have been members since day 1 - back in 1981! Amidst a competing sea of social clubs where one can go to talk, maybe get a workout in that might involve a slight sweat, and overall not get anything like a real workout actually done, Jason's is a place of refuge for people who actually want to get a lift in. 24 hour access, a limited number of spots for membership, actual power racks for weightlifting (that aren't frequented by "bros" getting in to do yet another set of curls), plenty of weight, friendly staff and an owner who takes time to get to know his people and actually knows what he's talking about when he trains people adds up to one of the best gyms I've been a part of. I've been a member for almost a year, now, and have no complaints...it's pretty much the best place I've found to lift, period.

This particular Dicks was the only location he hadn't tried. Instead of spending my day driving around, I decided to make a phone call. The young lady who answered the phone was friendly and very helpful. She explained to me how children's sizing works. She then put me on hold to go check stock. Unfortunately, they were out of stock but she suggested I look on Amazon. I really appreciated her help. I ordered some online and my granddaughter showed up to her first practice in style. I wish I could remember the nice girls name. Thank you for going above and beyond. The reason for the 3 star review is because they didn't have them in stock and it was soccer season. Besides not having what I needed, the whole experience was fantastic. Excellent customer service is always appreciated.

I went into the Pace location on Saturday, April 26th around 3pm in search of new walking shoes…read more There was a young girl working near the shoes, at a folding table. I asked her where the women's socks were located and she said that all socks were shirts by brand and not gender, then proceeded to tell me they were behind one of the walls. She never directed me to the socks, just that they were behind one of the walls. Ok, I found the socks then went back to look at shoes. I looked at shoes for about 15 minutes and looked for someone to help me get the correct size. No one bothered to come ask if I needed any help. The before mentioned employee was standing right by the shoes and could see that I needed assistance. I walked over to her and asked if there was someone who could help me. Her response was a huge sigh as if I was bothering her. At this point I was aggravated and said, "Nevermind, I'll go somewhere else to buy shoes where I can get some help!" She responded with, "no need for disrespect." I did not continue any back and forth with her, as I continued to walk towards the front door to leave. As my husband walked past her yo leave, she decided that she needed to continue with him and told him, "You need to get your wife!" He did but engage with this young girl and continued to follow me out of the store. I hope this is not how you train your employees to handle customer service. I know I was not pleasant, however, I did not continue any conversation with this girl and there was no need for her to continue with my husband. I will not be recommending Dick's in Pace to any of my sports moms/friends.
