What an amazing experience! My husband and I went in looking for running shoes. We really had no idea what we were looking for, but knew what issues we have with our running. They were fairly busy for an early Friday afternoon, but everyone was being taken care of as soon as possible. They acknowledged that they saw people waiting and said they would be with them shortly. Even for being busy, I didn't hear anyone being rushed. One lady took quite some time, tried on a few shoes, but then ended up saying she wasn't ready to get shoes today. The person helping her was super awesome about it, no pressure, no big deal. I loved it. Mackenzie asked us what we were looking for and as we explained where we had challenges, she was great at asking questions to make sure she understood. She had us walk so she could see if we pronated, etc. Mackenzie brought out several different brands, with different drop levels. She was so incredibly patient and knowledgeable. She took plenty of time with me as I tried a couple of new styles and options. She was knowledgeable, kind and fun. In the end I purchased the same shoe I had been wearing- but was grateful to not be rushed. They were having a sock sale so I grabbed some extra socks, and a logo t shirt. In a present world of people filled with complaints and unhappiness this store is a beacon of hope. It's been a while since I've ran into a stores culture where the people working there not only live their jobs but are passionate about what they do. Michele KILLED it with assisting me in dialing in my issues all while my two year old ran around like the wild feral toddler that she is. My only complaint is with myself that I didn't catch the name of the other wonderful sales associate who took the time to entertain my daughter while I was intensively assisted with how I could take my running to the next level. I took Running Wild's "My First 5K" training class and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I'm a lifelong fat kid, and I have never done anything athletically challenging. In the last few years, I've been trying to do better, so I signed up for this 12 week program. The coaches - Larri, Mike and Gordie - were exemplary. They were very supportive and encouraging. Our class included experienced runners, novices like myself and a couple folks who were only walking. They made us all good feel involved and valued, paying personal attention when it was needed. The course included the 12 weeks of training, a professionally-fitted pair of running shoes and entry into a 5K at the end. The training broke running into small, manageable chunks with walking interspersed, with the running increasing as we progressed through the 12 weeks. We got to run two evenings a week in the beautiful neighborhoods around the shop - which was a nice treat. Best of all, I achieved my goal of being able to run an entire 5K without stopping to walk. Also, I met some great people whom I plan to keep in touch with (and go running with) in the future. I recommend anyone who is looking for a gentle athletic challenge to take advantage of the Running Wild "My First 5K" training program! read more

I came here off of a recommendation and I'm glad I did. I NEEDED a new pair of running shoes. The ones I had were old and unfortunately I have developed shin splints probably due to the nature of the shoes that I have. Everyone from the staff was friendly and knew what they were talking about when it came to the shoe. Sheree (I think that's how you spell her name?) watched me walk and told me what I has going on and picked out a few shoes that would help me with my stride. I definitely found a pair that I absolutely loved and felt so comfortable! I wouldn't have ever chosen this shoe if I did this on my own and would have more than likely stuck with the big name brands that unfortunately don't do much for my feet (nike, adidas...etc). I also told her I had severe shin splints and she recommended this device to me to help with that (see the pictures). It helps tremendously! Thank you! Overall--great store with great people who seem to truly take pride in what they do. For the price that I paid it was fair and I have no complaints because I came in here looking to invest in a good pair of shoes since I am increasing the amount of time that I spend running. I went to running wild and met Paul. Paul thoroughly looked over my feet pattern and how I walk. I tried on the pair Paul recommended would be a good shoe for me. In comfort I totally agreed. The next day I returned to the store thinking they surely would have a shoe that was cuter and would work just like that shoe. They watch you run, let you try on and run in at least three different pairs of shoes suited for your feet, and you come out with a real pair of running shoes that will help your body much more than ordering those cute nike frees off the website.
