membership used for heated pool only. we swam 3 days a week but experienced inconsistent water…read moretemperature and on occasion too cold to swim. recently the pool heat pump went out. we called every few days to check on the status of reopening and after 2 weeks emailed to request pro-rated monthly dues for the month. we had to send a 2nd request before a response was received that our membership was cancelled immediately, and we would not be charged from here on out. further, the reply stated we threatened to cancel via calls and emails which is totally not true. we were surprised by this action and emailed them that we expect a refund for 3 weeks in Oct. that the pool was/is closed but have yet to hear back from them. as far as the cleanliness it does not exist, shower room is moldy and dirty, floors are dirty, pool area floor drains are backed up with standing water at times and the drinking faucet has been out of service a couple of months. the owner has handled our request poorly and unprofessionally.

Broken Drain in the shower that could cut someone's foot. Urine colored water every 3 days in the hot tub. 30-40 signs around the gym telling you what not to do. Tacky as Hell. Front Desk personnel that just sit on their butts. 2 showers that are out of order for at least over a year and still are. A parking lot that has more pot holes then you can count. A smoothie area that isn't bringing in the $ that they hoped for. There are much better gyms in the area. Avoid this place at all costs.

Bloomington-Normal doesn't have many sporting good stores. I personally don't know if any other…read morethan Dick's but I know that doesn't mean there aren't more. The few times I've shopped here, I walked out empty-handed almost every time. I mostly go there looking for things I can use at work. I carry a lot of stuff. I was able to find huge book bag for a decent price. It's made my work life so much easier. They only carry rifles so you'll have to go elsewhere if you want to purchase a handgun. I was hoping since they had rifles I might find a molle magazine holder for rifle magazines. I needed new tactical boots for work. A coworker told me how comfortable the Under Armor boots are. I checked out Dick's for them. They carry one set of Under Armor boots but only had 6 inches. I'm required to wear 8 inches. The worst part of the store is exiting if you didn't buy anything. You still have to navigate through the checkout lane area. If the checkout lane is busy then it's not an easy exit. I tried the entrance doors to see if they'd register me standing there but it didn't work. Luckily someone was coming in so I walked back out the front door. It's a minor inconvenience clearly but still noteworthy.
