Tammy was very informative, lots of choices and variety of billiard manufacturers for equipment, and other staff members were friendly and welcoming as well. read more

In all of the years I've played pool, Nielsen's Billiards is the best and most reliable retailer in the business. Every order is conscientiously packed and shipped to perfection. I've placed tons of orders with them and have never encountered an error. Joe and Tammy are great to work with. They even take time to offer professional advice on purchasing the right cue, shaft, or accessory. I highly recommend Nielsen's! read more

Never been to the brick and mortar store but found them online. Spoke to Joe Nielsen on phone and ordered a Viking cue and it came with free 2x2 hard case, cue cleaner, cue chalk. Joe is very patient in handling the service. Customer service is top notch overall and shipping is lighting fast. Very good deals on their items and tons of variety in brands. They also have service in turning the cue shaft down from 13mm to any thing you prefer. Would order from Joe again in the future. read more

AAA Nielsen's Billiards - Finally got it back together!!! - Pool & Billiards Near Me - Springfield, Illinois

It started a few years ago now. Every time I buy from Nielsen's, I mean every time, I get the same thing. Not the same item but the same thing. I get prompt, professional service. I get honest answers to my questions. I get exactly what I ordered in a very timely manor at a fair price. Along with having a great inventory and knowledge about the products they top it off with unsurpassed professionalism. The bottom line is you don't ever have to go anywhere else to find what you need and get it quickly in a professional atmosphere. In general terms, I don't have to really shop anymore for billiard needs. I call Tami or whoever answers, discuss what I need and done. That simple. Nielsen's, thank you for being there. So I live out in Texas and I found this establishment through Ebay and super happy that I have! The service is too notch! Recently I made an order and got the glove hand side mixed up and made a call and Courtney picked up the phone. Let me tell yall and believe me you when I say it! Courtney is incredible, she was able to lookup my order and she even physically confirmed what I had ordered to make sure if I had made a mistake (which I did indeed do) . With out missing a beat she was already looking for the alternate set I needed, whether or not if it was in stock and if it wasn't, then what's the closest thing to what I was looking for. Which of course we found a pair of gloves that are just as good as the ones I wanted earlier. Did I mention that throughout the whole process Courtney was very cordial and pleasant to speak to?! Well I just did. This establishment has been a lucky find for me and all the products are an affordable value! Highly recommend this business and will do so from states away. Thank you Very much Courtney!! read more

I have bought from these guy's in the past & again locally. Ordered a set of aramith balls on Saturday & received them on Monday. Excellant service & very fast shipping. Courtney & Nielson Billiards are AWESOME. read more

Joe and Courtney helped me out as good as anyone could have. I returned a cue that I ordered online because the shaft size was outa my league (11.50) so I exchanged it for the Predator Vantage (12.9) and it feels incredible. Great quality cue and great quality care taken with it. Was sent from Illinois to Los Angeles and there were no damages. There are no such things as stupid questions, JUST STUPID PEOPLE, and I had a ton of questions because I am new to Pool and Joe was patient with me, answered all my questions and was there for me. Thanks Joe! 5 stars and I WOULD recommend to anyone. (Tell Joe Dane sent ya ) read more

My old billiards table hadn't been played in years and needed some new felt. The seems between the slate were terrible and every time a ball would cross a seem it would jump. Dale came to my home and in a few hours had my table better than it was brand new. (Original installer was very poor compared to Dale.) Dale was very professional and clearly takes great pride in his work. I'm a very happy customer. Last note- pricing was upfront and fair- but not cheap. read more

Purchased thousands of dollars worth of cues over the years and was on the list for a product for months. 4 months ago I was 7th on the list and i called all the time for a update. They want to sell you cues with the product and not sell the shafts individually. I have recommended you guys for years and sent alot of buiness and your customer service and phone conversation with staff is a 0 on a scale 1 to 10. Will have to recommend a different vendor. OUT OF THE BALLPARK HOME RUN! While looking for a billiard table saw this business online. While we live ~ 100 miles away, the people here made the trip worth it! As soon as we walked into Nielsen's the employees were friendly and helped educate me. They were patient as I debated which table, table color, and cloth color with myself. The rest of the purchase was smooth but that was not even close to the best part! The night before the delivery Joe walked me through a few questions they had for me, all to insure I had the right table for me. Just like the employees there, he demonstrated fantastic customer service! Today the table was delivered and setup. Again the employees, particularly Dale, was professional and instructive. While the table is amazing, it pales in comparison to the experience we had with this business! So grateful words fail to express how thrilled we were able to meet and work with this great team!! read more

8/15/20 ....AWFUL online experience with a specific unknown employee/owner (maybe Joe Nielsen) . The Story - Found them on ebay ( under joerackem ) searching for a certain cue and negotiated a few added accessories. The deal seemed good HOWEVER this person harped on and challenged my comments along the way and eventually became rude and insulting for no reason when I asked for the invoice. There were also large time gaps in his reply. Therefore, I played it safe and decided NOT TO BUY FROM THEM. The person should not be dealing with customers or online inquiries at all. I've been in sales for over 30 years and qualify to make this statement. The ignorance I experienced lines up with the other negative comments on this shop. I purchased from Seyberts.com instead. read more

I've had the pleasure of doing business with Nielsen's a couple of times... once several years ago, and again this week. This place has a huge variety of billiards gear, complimented by a real friendly bunch of folks who know their stuff. It's nice to find a store these days that really cares about their customer's needs, and then their satisfaction after the deal. This place does, so they get 5 stars. And hey, their prices were right, which always makes me happier than a pig in slop. Thanks guys! read more

great service. very professional. they recovered my tables at my business and did an outstanding job. Very quick and highly recommend

Had Nielson's move my pool table today. Technician was nothing but professional and very informative. I was so impressed with the technician I plan on purchasing a shuffleboard table from Nielson's in the next couple of weeks. read more

Not Impressed. Walked in and looked around. Felt like I was interrupting them by being there and they took little interest me as a new pool table owner (needing to buy stuff). Owner (or who ever) paid more attention to whatever he was doing on the computer, however when he did talk to me it was with a big wad of Chew in his lip which he had to frequently spit into trash can. I hired them to move a table for me while room was being carpeted. ONE guy showed up to move it (according to him a 700 pound pool table). After he got there he informed me he had never actually moved one - he had only put the table on the carts and never actually moved it. I had to help him and I figure out a plan to get the table up over a carpet seem without creating a crease in the newly laid carpet. Needless to say when the table had to be moved back in place I did it myself. I will be taking my billiards purchases out of town - since they are the only game in town. Cudos: He came back and did a fine job leveling the table. read more

I just received a small order (2 items) and they worked out great. A replacement strap for JB case and a Predator Q2 extension bumper. This is the first time I ordered from Nielsen's. Will keep them in mind for future purchases. Frank. read more
