He spoke to us about Springfield with such joy, that I nearly hunted down a real estate guide before leaving town! Seriously, though, he was beyond cool, and it was such an honor to meet him. The shop is full of the usual suspects one hunts for when seeking mementos to take home from a trip. Prices were more than fair. We also had the luxury of staying in an Airbnb above the shop (run by the shop owner's brother), and the whole experience with the family was amazing. Mr. Lincoln's Souvenirs & Gifts is not far at all from Lincoln's home, so definitely swing by for a unique shopping experience alongside a gent who loves his city and its visitors.

We purchased photo of the Lincoln's and there was a chucky doll that was placed with them. The kids loved it. We also purchased a couple shirts that appear to be well made and prices very affordable. There was a vendor that made art with old silverware that was so neat. The lady working was so nice and there was a vendor that had explained her placement of chucky in her photos and some other hidden things she placed in her art. We had a very nice conversation with the lady working. We loved the store and really look forward to visiting again.

Studio on 6th is a mix between several different things. A large portion of their shop (maybe the whole shop?) is an artists collective where they sell all sorts of wares from jewelry to clothing to bags and kitchen items. There is also an area in the back where they sell a small collection of vintage clothing. I got a great 1970's dress for about $20 and they also had a few adorable hand tea-dyed vintage slips and hand-dyed tie-dye items. I also purchased some amazing hand-made hammered copper earrings (for under $10!) as a gift and could have continued all day if I hadnt dragged myself out of the store. This place is really everything you could want out of a gift shop. Its filled with amazing, personal creations by local artists, its run by friendly, helpful people, there are nice little surprises like vintage clothing and hand-carved wooden kitchen items and you get the feeling that every time you go back there will be new, interesting things.

We were promised that garbage would be taken care of through the night and none was ever moved. We were also promised that our wedding guests would be guided to a parking lot by someone and there was no one in sight. We also had to end our reception earlier than we would have liked due to neighbor placation to avoid noise disturbances. With a few complaints overall we had a great wedding and the atmosphere was certainly helpful.

We found some great trinkets, like "Pee Guy" and "The Patron Saint of Bacon," among other bizarre things. And the cards... holy crap... they were hysterical! We have NEVER laughed so hard a greeting cards as we did in this store! Magnets, cards, picture frames, gag-gifts, Obama stuff... you name the weird item, I think if they don't have it the owners will find a way to get it!
