BarreWell changed my life…read more I can't overstate this enough, BarreWell changed my life. I was browsing Yelp a few years ago looking for a new fitness studio. I had recently relocated to Orange County, and I'll say I wasn't feeling great about my general cardiovascular health (for a 28 year old). I was looking up types of exercise that are sustainable in the long term, and I learned that Barre was a low impact type of exercise built for all bodies. Nice. I typed "barre" into yelp, and found a beautiful studio on the Mission Viejo Lake (BarreWell). As a certified yoga teacher, I would say I'm nitpicky and hypercritical as a group exercise client for validity of my review. I also lean towards group exercise because it motivates me to push harder, and BarreWell has pushed me hard over these past few years. I started by taking Cardio Dance (with Nicole), and let me tell you that this class single-handedly improved both my V02 Max and helped me regain my endurance cardio ability. Now, outside of BarreWell I've found myself surviving on dance floors for hours and back into long distance running. The class itself is a JOY. You get to have fun and dance to fun music. If this is your first time taking it, remember that no one is watching you and everyone is truly just there to have fun. Aside from Cardio Dance, I can highly recommend every other class: TRX, TRX + Bounce, Sculpt + Bounce, Sculpt, Barre, Box + Bounce. The only class I never had a chance to take was ride. If you're new to BarreWell, I'm almost a little jealous. You're entering a really welcome community of students and instructors who have reimagined exercise with fun in mind. I was a little tentative about trying out kickboxing - I had been a long-distance runner in the past and this was out of my comfort zone - but after doing a trial session in October 2023, I signed up on the spot because it was clear that evening that this was the type of thing I was looking for. All the trainers so far have been fantastic, and the ability to drop in at any time during opening hours to get my workout in has been a godsend since my work schedule is a little hectic and I sometimes don't know when I'll be getting off. Being able to get an entire workout done in 30 minutes, and a workout that actually *feels* like a good workout, is also amazing. I'm about 6 months in to getting 2-3 sessions in a week and I can feel the difference in my body. I'm significantly stronger, and in some ways even more so than I was when I was distance running. The monthly price might feel a little steep, but I've not regretted one penny that I've spent at this gym. I only wish I had more friends in the area to refer them to this 30 Minute Hit location to help boost the community aspect of the gym.

My son has been going here since he was 15 months old and now he's 26 months and has really grown in his yoga practice - downward and upward dog, L-dogs, balancing, and hopping are no problem. I swear he will be doing headstands soon! Finally, Staci is just a warm, loving, kind, wonderful person - a true yogini in mind and heart.
