Shredz Gym is hands down the best gym I've ever been to. It's located in a quiet, perfect spot in Ladera Ranch, which already makes it feel more inviting and less chaotic than other gyms. The gym itself is clean, spacious, and laid out perfectly -- nothing feels cramped or poorly placed. Everyone who goes here is actually there to work out. People are kind, respectful, and courteous, and you don't deal with the space-hogging or awkward gym behavior you see elsewhere. As a mom, the 24-hour access is everything. On days when you can't commit to a specific time due to all the different schedules kids have but still need to get your workout in, it's a total game changer. The equipment is truly top-tier -- honestly the best I've seen, and I've been to a lot of gyms over the years. You can tell real thought went into what they offer. On top of all of that, Ashley, the manager, is incredible. She is so kind, caring, and courteous, and truly exceeds expectations as a manager. She's also extremely responsive and makes you feel genuinely supported, which adds so much to the overall experience. I'm genuinely obsessed with this place. Wow!!! Now, this is a gym!!!! I came in yesterday for the first time, and I was cheerfully greeted by Ashly, sorry if I misspelled her name, but she really is a rockstar at her job! The positive reviews for Shredz Gym is true. This place is a little on the smallish side, but I love it. This gym is clean, the equipment in working order, and well maintained. I'm super impressed by this boutique-like gym. It's got EVERYTHING you would need to get in shape. Everyone was super friendly. And I met a personal trainer, Lauren, who's a professional trainer, and a sweetheart! If you want a no nonsense gym, this is your place! If you're looking for additional amenities, such as swimming pool, luxurious locker rooms, massive selection of fitness classes, spa, or steam room or sauna, this isn't your place. This is a basic gym with lots to offer! They offer infrared saunas, classes, cold plunge, etc, in another building called Movement two spaces down, under the same ownership. This owner thinks of everything! They offer an area for lockers, but they're really small and I wouldn't recommend, in the back area. I'm most definitely returning. I am writing this from a Personal Trainer point of view. This is my home. So YES I am biased. But, keep in mind, I am not an employee. I do not get paid by Shredz. As a matter of fact, I pay them for the ability to train people at the gym. I was very selective in the gym I chose to launch my PT career and Shredz offered everything I was looking for. Top QUALITY equipment. Cleanest gym I have ever stepped foot in (and that is saying something since I have belonged to dozens of gyms since 1984). A GREAT atmosphere. It caters from those who have never trained before to dedicated bodybuilders/athletes. It is never crowded, BUT there is still a LOT of positive energy in there. I liken it to the old TV show Cheers which was a bar, but when you walked in, everyone knew your name. It is a little family at Shredz and they make everyone feel welcome. If you are a trainer, this is your place. Your clients will feel welcome, it has reasonable rates, top tier equipment, never crowded and the vibe is always bumping in a positive way! I really couldn't be happier to have found this gym. It's got everything you need to get a great workout in, you're covered from Cardio, to weight lifting and everything in-between. The staff and other gym members are friendly and helpful. They do a great job of keeping the gym clean and organized, most everyone racks/puts away their equipment and wipe it down when they're done using it. The gym is never too crowded, even at peak hours you're able to get in and get a great workout in. This location is pretty cool. They have a in person front desk working during the day but also have a Bluetooth phone scanning device that you can work out 24 hours a day. The staff is super cool and even though it is not a huge gym it is never really crowded. The busiest I have seen it is maybe three or four people max. read more

Kinda hesitant to give the deserved review for fear of the masses coming to this undiscovered gem of a facility. But here goes: I am a 24 hour convert. Shredz was available during "lockdown". Immediately apparent was their accommodating staff. Ashley kept this establishment Covid-free by knowing members well enough to ascertain their core body temperature +/- 0.3 degrees upon arrival. In addition to her public health acumen she's also friendly. The other staff deserve equal credit. All are welcoming and approachable. They seem to know every member by first and last name (or Newsom has them contact tracing, JK). The facility is well outfitted, clean, and maintained. Members from 16-70 yo are observed working out regularly. Most members appear friendly. This place is welcoming for people of all ages and BMIs. Check it out. read more

This gym has been nothing but amazing since the minute my boyfriend and I walked in the doors. Since reopening, they have done a fantastic job of ensuring the facility is clean and safe at all times, with plenty of disinfectant / hand sanitizer available in several spots through out, and requiring temp checks upon entering. Ashley was super helpful with all of our questions and concerns from the time we signed up, and she always greets us by name and with a smile every time we come in! Shredz Gym is a hidden gem. I found this place thanks to my trainer Derron. I walked in not really sure where I was going, but the moment I walked in I was greeted by Ashley. She was so helpful getting me started and answered my questions about the different classes and packages the gym offers. This gym is very clean, unlike other gyms, and all the equipment is new. If you're looking for a personal trainer they have trainers from all different backgrounds that can help you reach your goals. I highly recommend Derron. He listens to what your goals are and customizes a program specific to your needs. When I have a question about why we're doing a certain exercise he explains the why, or if I need a modification he works with me. I love that he's so passionate about his work and he's consistently checking in and keeping me accountable to my goals. read more

I just moved to OC and I was looking for a new gym. I didn't have high expectations as I used to go to commercial gyms like LA fitness and 24-hour fitness where you find all sources of fancy machines that in reality are useless. Looking online I found this gym and I gave it a try. I've taken HIIT classes at Shredz for about a year. I LOVE their class schedule because their 5:15 class allows me a hard sweaty workout while my family sleeps and I can get home to wake everyone up and get them to school on time! I have a herniated disc and coaches are quick to modify for my "no jumping, no impact" rules. I never feel like I get less of a workout because of my limitations. Class culture is so nice. They stay small, so I feel like we all know each other even though we don't see each other everyday. The workouts themselves change daily which keeps me interested and feeling strong. When I first looked into Shredz I was totally intimidated by my initial "gym rat" impression, but right away I felt right at home, and absolutely love it there. read more

I love Shredz and I'm so glad it's in Ladera! It's super clean. The staff is very nice and the music and TVs are always programmable for you. The equipment options are varied and there are so many options for what you can do. I love a well done boutique gym and I am willing to always pay more and feel like the pricing is appropriate too. I know they offer HITT classes and I don't take them (I workout on my own or occasionally with Michael) but I see them and it looks fun! I am a gym officianado (I've owned two fitness facilities) and I'm a personal trainer with a very picky eye and I hate working out in bad energy or around people who don't know what they are doing.
