First time rower, and first time trying Row House! What can I say, a low impact whole body workout, sure I'm up for it!!! I signed up for an account on their app, and tried a session complimentary. So, I showed up for my very first class, not really knowing what to expect. Shannon, the owner, was a doll! She took the time to show me proper posture, and explained everything about rowing. If you're a first timer, they won't leave you lost. Shannon was patient answering my questions, and she even took the time to set me up. I adore her! Everyone in my class was so nice and welcoming. I really appreciated it! Well, guess what, Yelpers??? After the class, I was hooked! Loved every minute of it! After taking your first class, you'll feel amazing! I took the Restore class, and it didn't disappoint! I even kept up with everyone in my class, and I'm really out of shape. I was so sore the following day, but enjoyed it. Thank you, Shannon! And thank you to the Row House community! I went once , called and cancelled my membership and didnt realize I was being charged monthly for months during covid. I called probably 10+ times to ask the Manager Shannon to help me with a refund as she could clearly see I attended one time and she and the staff kept saying there was nothing they could do due to new ownership and referred me to the corporate website which I filled out the contact me page multiple times without a single response. Row House Ladera is an awesome community of folks working hard to get stronger and cheer each other on! I love that the classes work for all fitness levels, ages and abilities. Rowing is a full body workout and I feel stronger and more confident since I started rowing. We do lots of stretching and strengthening off the tower as well to really feel like I'm getting a complete workout. The instructors are awesome, high energy and encouraging! They made me feel welcome since day one. Crystal is a fan-favorite and super fun! There is a wide variety of classes times which work well with my busy schedule. Everything is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Row House in Ladera and the amazing team Shannon (the wonderful owner) has created of instructors!! read more

Showed up for a 12:15 class at 12:15 and the door was locked. What kind of business locks the door when there is a class at that time. Waisted 30 minutes driving there, and have never even seen anything like this where there is no front desk and the door is locked at the time of the class. read more

So I decided to try out a free class here and try something different than spin. I think it's a cool concept, but it wasn't for me. I took the full row class-this is basically 45 minutes on the rowing machine with one break which is A LONG TIME. You row at different paces, and there are "races" to keep the class entertaining. I was able to keep up, but my butt got really sore 20 minutes in, and I had a terrible blister afterwards. I didn't sweat THAT much and I feel like it wasn't as effective of a calorie-burning workout as spin is for me. The instructor was motivational, explained the machine to me, and how to properly row. The staff was very welcoming, and they even offered me another free class to try a different type of Row House class. I didn't end up trying another class, but it's great customer service! The studio is very nice, they have a fancy water station, lockers, changing rooms, etc. read more

Row house is amazing!!! From the classes to the coaches. I hurt my back years ago and I needed something with low impact. After my first class I knew it was for me! I love Row House in Ladera - it's such a good, positive and friendly vibe and staff. Since there's no impact on my joints, I'm able to really up my intensity and fitness level in ways I wouldn't be able to do otherwise. McKenna is one of the newer coaches and she has wonderful energy - full of encouragement, pushes you to achieve and always keeps it fresh with a variety of music, styles of rows and floor work. Great workout! Great coaches! Welcoming team! ........ I have never rowed before and felt a little intimidated walking in. Thank goodness I made the first step. I have always been greeted with friendly faces, have had help improving my performance and found motivation to set (and achieve) new goals. I love this gym! High energy, great workout, supportive environment, and FUN! I was nervous when I first started a year ago, but was quickly put at ease by the welcoming team. I signed up for the Row House before they opened and didn't know quite what to expect but thought it was worth a try...i'm now a little over a month in and LOVE the workouts and the instructors! Front office staff and owners are super friendly too! This is the perfect workout that is low impact on my body but i'm still working hard and burning calories. I can't say it enough how great Row House is! I finally found a fitness routine here that works for me. Having a knee replacement I needed a low impact exercise and this is it.
