I had a particularly stressful moving situation in that I had to pack up a 3 bed/2 bath 1450 sq.ft house in 4 days. During this, my previous landlord decided to "stop by" unannounced and proceeded to let himself in to "check to see how things were coming along". My new property manager recommended Fit Movers, LLC and I am sooo glad I hired them. Connie, from Fit Movers, walked me through every step re: what to expect, pricing, etc. She was amazing! The movers themselves were AMAZING!!! They were so patient while my scattered brain pointed out what needed to go and what didn't and then changed my mind again. They disassembled my furniture, wrapped each piece in moving blankets and plastic wrap and proceeded to handle each piece with amazing care. Their communication throughout the entire move was OUTSTANDING!! And on the other end, proceeded to place furniture pieces where I wanted them, unwrapped each piece, reassembled what needed to be, and cleaned up afterward. Then and only then did they ask for payment. I so apologize as I don't remember all of their names--only Derek because he texted me on the way--but all three were EXTREMELY professional, courteous, and really went above and beyond. It was so hot and I felt so bad that I couldn't offer them bottled water (because I didn't have any) but I did offer them a Pepsi a piece. I can't thank them and Fit Movers enough! As I get older I look forward to moving less and less. It is a lengthy process where a lot of heavy stuff gets moved. My old-man bones can't handle it so we knew this time around we would have to get help. My wife and I shopped around and went with fit movers based on the previous reviews. They made the entire process smooth and simple from the very beginning. They came out , gave us a quote and scheduled us for a date. Our escrow timeline changed by a day and they were able to accommodate us. My wife is super organized and had us color code all the boxes and even created a color coded map of the old and new house. This saved us a ton of time during the move which did save us a a bit of cash since the movers were able to get in and work efficiently but be warned it did take us a solid week to do beforehand. Moving day finally arrived and fit movers were on time and got right to work loading up the boxes and the furniture. All of the employees were friendly and quick. They had our items packed quickly and safely before being loaded in the truck. They were just as quick unloading as well and were very cheerful. We even got a few performances of a some songs , pay for a move and the concert is free. Lol. We ended up getting tacos (because I mean who doesn't love tacos) and they waited until they were completely done before eating , even when we told them to get it while it was hot. What a disappointing experience. Although we've used Fit Movers several times in the past with great satisfaction, we were shocked to find almost every piece of furniture damaged when our trailer arrived. We supplied more than enough moving blankets because we returned the ones that weren't used. The first question our movers off loading the trailer was "why didn't they wrap your furniture?" As you can see in one photo, they used a pillow case and bath towel! When I contacted Fit Movers about the damage, the attitude was " they wouldn't do anything about it and damage was to be expected". We are beyond happy with Fit Movers and would highly recommend them !! They helped us with our move on 7/18, three very nice, friendly and polite young guys arrived right on time, and started working right away, they were working extremely fast. About 30 minutes after a fourth one arrived to help too, it was Derrick, the manager. They had a big truck with a lift gate and all the moving tools needed. From all of our moving experiences this one was the fastest and cheapest one, and it was the one where we had way more furniture and stuff, we moved from a 2 story condo to a house on a hill. On past experiences when businesses charge by the hour, they take their sweet time to finish, with Fit Movers it was the opposite, they were working extremely fast that I even told them to take a pizza or drink break but they just continued working while eating/drinking. I hired this business because they were quite a bit cheaper than my favorite, Meathead Movers. Mistake #1. The first attempt, the workman showed up and my house " was too dusty" for them. So we had to reschedule or the men wanted "Hazardous Pay"!! Ridiculous . So round two was 5/24/25. It went pretty smoothly however one of the men ( don't recall name) inquired about how I was going to get rid of the extra "junk"? I told him I had one bid and another one coming in two days. A little while later, he asked me what I thought was fair price for getting rid of the junk?? He told me he had a side company and he could get rid of the junk that very day. I said $200, he said $ 1000. That's where the price stayed after a little back and forth. That was way too much when I was paying $1400 for the move. Once all the things were at the new house, I found some clarifications for them but they fixed them before they left. Come Sunday morning, I go to run a load of wash and the washer says it's not hooked to water. Monday and every single day after up to Saturday ( today 5/31/25) I have called at least once and most days twice to beg someone to come out and figure out what is wrong with my washer. FINALLY TODAY this company hired another guy to come look at my washer. They had not hooked up any part of the water system and it couldn't get water . No, if I had known I would definitely gone with Meathead Movers. read more
