We used Fit Movers on short notice to move a piano for us from LA to Bakersfield. The person we spoke to to arrange the details was knowledgeable and helped us get scheduled quickly. First of all, Fit Movers were easier to book than any other option. Everyone else wanted to bombard me with their sales pitch or get on Zoom to take a virtual tour of my house...before even generating a quote! Fit Movers made an appointment via email with nothing but some addresses and a list of stuff to move. When they showed up, Anthony and his team could not have been more courteous or professional. Derrick and his crew were absolutely AMAZING!!! We were moving two separate homes into one so they had to make a couple of stops. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They were super prepared with everything you could possibly need for a move; tools, blankets, everything. We had a few items that needed to be disassembled and they did that with such expertise. We had way more stuff than anticipated so we went well over our estimated time and Derrick was so gracious with us. All of the crew was so kind and had great attitudes. What a disappointing experience. Although we've used Fit Movers several times in the past with great satisfaction, we were shocked to find almost every piece of furniture damaged when our trailer arrived. We supplied more than enough moving blankets because we returned the ones that weren't used. The first question our movers off loading the trailer was "why didn't they wrap your furniture?" As you can see in one photo, they used a pillow case and bath towel! When I contacted Fit Movers about the damage, the attitude was " they wouldn't do anything about it and damage was to be expected". All I can say is if you don't care about you belongings, this is the business for you. read more

As I get older I look forward to moving less and less. It is a lengthy process where a lot of heavy stuff gets moved. My old-man bones can't handle it so we knew this time around we would have to get help. My wife and I shopped around and went with fit movers based on the previous reviews. They made the entire process smooth and simple from the very beginning. They came out , gave us a quote and scheduled us for a date. Our escrow timeline changed by a day and they were able to accommodate us. My wife is super organized and had us color code all the boxes and even created a color coded map of the old and new house. This saved us a ton of time during the move which did save us a a bit of cash since the movers were able to get in and work efficiently but be warned it did take us a solid week to do beforehand. Moving day finally arrived and fit movers were on time and got right to work loading up the boxes and the furniture. All of the employees were friendly and quick. They had our items packed quickly and safely before being loaded in the truck. They were just as quick unloading as well and were very cheerful. We even got a few performances of a some songs , pay for a move and the concert is free. Lol. We ended up getting tacos (because I mean who doesn't love tacos) and they waited until they were completely done before eating , even when we told them to get it while it was hot. DO NOT USE! They broke my $750 tv ($1,200 new) and offered me $300. They tried to hide it too. They left their moving blanket over it. It was the only one they left behind out of about 20 that they used. I called and sent them photos of everything to try to get this resolved. Still nothing. Small claims here we come! read more

These guys were amazing! I came to realize that after fracturing my hip I was going to need some serious help moving and my team sure stepped up! I called to see if they could add packing services, and boom! Done! They were on time, efficient and so very personable. Moving day was A LOT, on their part! Outside of some normal questions, I was able to focus on some business while they got everything secured and packed onto the truck. Unloading was a breeze! They were very accommodating when I needed something adjusted, and even volunteered to stabilize a unit of mine, all the while with a smile on their faces. I hired this business because they were quite a bit cheaper than my favorite, Meathead Movers. Mistake #1. The first attempt, the workman showed up and my house " was too dusty" for them. So we had to reschedule or the men wanted "Hazardous Pay"!! Ridiculous . So round two was 5/24/25. It went pretty smoothly however one of the men ( don't recall name) inquired about how I was going to get rid of the extra "junk"? I told him I had one bid and another one coming in two days. A little while later, he asked me what I thought was fair price for getting rid of the junk?? He told me he had a side company and he could get rid of the junk that very day. I said $200, he said $ 1000. That's where the price stayed after a little back and forth. That was way too much when I was paying $1400 for the move. Once all the things were at the new house, I found some clarifications for them but they fixed them before they left. Come Sunday morning, I go to run a load of wash and the washer says it's not hooked to water. Monday and every single day after up to Saturday ( today 5/31/25) I have called at least once and most days twice to beg someone to come out and figure out what is wrong with my washer. FINALLY TODAY this company hired another guy to come look at my washer. They had not hooked up any part of the water system and it couldn't get water . No, if I had known I would definitely gone with Meathead Movers. read more

Disclaimer: I work with the owner of Fit Movers. All bias aside, Fit Movers were great. Derrick (my co-worker) was very quick to respond to my inquiry. I didn't even know he owned this business before I submitted the inquiry thru Yelp. He was able to fit me into the schedule quickly, his crew was on time at my mother-in-law's house to pick up her sectional sofa, and delivered it to my house. They even removed our old sofa! You have many claims that are identical to mine so therefore your company isn't reputable. The workers that you sent to my home damaged the stuff that I worked hard to obtain. It's nice to know that this is how u treat the people in your community. I'll make sure to continue to post about your terrible company and service so that this doesn't happen to anybody else. We are beyond happy with Fit Movers and would highly recommend them !! They helped us with our move on 7/18, three very nice, friendly and polite young guys arrived right on time, and started working right away, they were working extremely fast. About 30 minutes after a fourth one arrived to help too, it was Derrick, the manager. They had a big truck with a lift gate and all the moving tools needed. From all of our moving experiences this one was the fastest and cheapest one, and it was the one where we had way more furniture and stuff, we moved from a 2 story condo to a house on a hill. On past experiences when businesses charge by the hour, they take their sweet time to finish, with Fit Movers it was the opposite, they were working extremely fast that I even told them to take a pizza or drink break but they just continued working while eating/drinking. This review is LONG overdue! Fit Movers were SUPER professional about everything! From the first day Derrick and his team punctually came over to my house to give me an estimate, I knew quite confidently that I was in the RIGHT hands; no doubt. That same afternoon, I was given a very reasonable estimate, along with what was to be expected. I liked how TRANSPARENT they were about their policies, especially in a world where many businesses slap on hidden fees in a contract which one would sign. Even when there were hiccups with the closing of escrow, thus having the moving date up in the air, among other issues; Derrick had a solution to EVERY single problem. His response time to any inquiry if he couldn't speak with me when I called was almost right away; the very latest, on rare occasions, was toward the end of the same business day. I told him, "Many are either kind but not professional, or are professional but maybe not so kind. You are BOTH professional AND kind. That puts you at the top in my book." Then came moving day. I was given a couple of reminders via email about the date and estimated time of arrival in the weeks prior. So, on the day of, I received a text message about twenty minutes before the scheduled time, letting me know they will be there soon. And yes, Anthony and Lamont showed up a couple of minutes before 9 am. I briefed them on my unique situation and they understood right away. They wasted no time, and got to work. Again, like with Derrick, their confident and amiable demeanor made me feel rest ASSURED that EVERYTHING, no matter the challenges that lied ahead that day, will be alright. Turns out Anthony and Derrick are cousins. This is truly a family runned business, as advertised! They were able to work out things that did come up with during the move. These folks are indeed SOLUTION-ORIENTED. Not only that, they were very sociable. They kept me calm, as they got to know me, and spoke to me like a friend would. I appreciated that, given all that I was going through. At the same time, they were still time efficient, moving at a swift yet steady and methodical pace. Like with loading the truck, the unloading was just like clockwork. A lot of the stuff was quite heavy; and yet Anthony and Lamont were able to carry them up TWO FLIGHTS of stairs, as the elevator was out of service that day. One item that was particularly heavy was a large refrigerator! They do live up to the company's name FOR SURE! And just like that, before I knew it, all was settled, and I was in my new place. Antoine and Eddy were stellar. They successfully moved two pallets of very, very heavy boxes of cement tiles for me to LA. They were incredibly diligent, and showed initiative when there were unforeseen challenges, and they went above and beyond to ensure the job was done properly. They were very responsive and prompt. Very easy to work with. The movers are all very young. If you're looking for muscle to move your home, they're perfect. If you're looking for knowledge, professional movers, I'd say they are probably not the ones. My fridge has dings that it never had before and my mattresses all look like they were dragged across the yard and not protected at all. The mattress isn't even a year old! The guys quickly packed up my things (with care) and wrapped each furniture item I owned with the proper materials to protect them. Extremely responsive - was able to get moved on the day I requested (which was on a days notice) and Sheri in the office and Mike and Gene, the movers were a pleasure to work with.
