Derrick you've been contacted multiple times after regarding this claim. You rather respond to a yelp review then respond to the various emails and text messages that were sent. You have many claims that are identical to mine so therefore your company isn't reputable. The workers that you sent to my home damaged the stuff that I worked hard to obtain. It's nice to know that this is how u treat the people in your community. I'll make sure to continue to post about your terrible company and service so that this doesn't happen to anybody else. Again if you'd like to resolve this u can do so my responding to the messages and It'll be done, if not then that's on you. read more

Great experience. On time and Keon and Anthony were so nice and did a great job. I would recommend them for any moving job. Thank you Keon and Anthony. read more

I hired this business because they were quite a bit cheaper than my favorite, Meathead Movers. Mistake #1. The first attempt, the workman showed up and my house " was too dusty" for them. So we had to reschedule or the men wanted "Hazardous Pay"!! Ridiculous . So round two was 5/24/25. It went pretty smoothly however one of the men ( don't recall name) inquired about how I was going to get rid of the extra "junk"? I told him I had one bid and another one coming in two days. A little while later, he asked me what I thought was fair price for getting rid of the junk?? He told me he had a side company and he could get rid of the junk that very day. I said $200, he said $ 1000. That's where the price stayed after a little back and forth. That was way too much when I was paying $1400 for the move. Once all the things were at the new house, I found some clarifications for them but they fixed them before they left. Come Sunday morning, I go to run a load of wash and the washer says it's not hooked to water. Monday and every single day after up to Saturday ( today 5/31/25) I have called at least once and most days twice to beg someone to come out and figure out what is wrong with my washer. FINALLY TODAY this company hired another guy to come look at my washer. They had not hooked up any part of the water system and it couldn't get water . No, if I had known I would definitely gone with Meathead Movers. read more

This company is fantastic. If you are moving, get on their schedule now! We moved my father in law from Fresno to Tehachapi. Derrick and his crew came in to pack decades worth of stuff that dad could not part with. They did a great job and everything was seriously packed with care. A day later, Mike, Brian and Anthony showed up and spent 4 hours loading, 3 hours driving, and 2 hours unloading. They carefully unloaded and helped organize everything the way that we needed it! Thank you Fit Movers for saving me and my husband weeks of work and hours on the road. read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Derrick came out & gave me a great price to get me moved. Anthony and his crew did an outstanding job packing & loading all my belongings. They took extra care in making sure my stuff was wrapped well. The way they were able to get everything I wanted loaded into my u-haul was unbelievable. They loaded everything with such precision & care. I would 100% recommend Fit Movers for all your moving needs. Thanks guys for doing such an outstanding job! read more

When relocating 4-1/2 miles away the truck left the old house and took 45 minutes to reach the new location. I have since found that I am missing two gold bracelets as well as a ring. I called to speak with the manager, did not get anywhere. I have searched for months and the items are still missing. Draw your own conclusions. Also the men did not have the tools needed so my husband kindly loaned them tools which they took! read more

This review is LONG overdue! Fit Movers were SUPER professional about everything! From the first day Derrick and his team punctually came over to my house to give me an estimate, I knew quite confidently that I was in the RIGHT hands; no doubt. That same afternoon, I was given a very reasonable estimate, along with what was to be expected. I liked how TRANSPARENT they were about their policies, especially in a world where many businesses slap on hidden fees in a contract which one would sign. Even when there were hiccups with the closing of escrow, thus having the moving date up in the air, among other issues; Derrick had a solution to EVERY single problem. His response time to any inquiry if he couldn't speak with me when I called was almost right away; the very latest, on rare occasions, was toward the end of the same business day. I told him, "Many are either kind but not professional, or are professional but maybe not so kind. You are BOTH professional AND kind. That puts you at the top in my book." Then came moving day. I was given a couple of reminders via email about the date and estimated time of arrival in the weeks prior. So, on the day of, I received a text message about twenty minutes before the scheduled time, letting me know they will be there soon. And yes, Anthony and Lamont showed up a couple of minutes before 9 am. I briefed them on my unique situation and they understood right away. They wasted no time, and got to work. Again, like with Derrick, their confident and amiable demeanor made me feel rest ASSURED that EVERYTHING, no matter the challenges that lied ahead that day, will be alright. Turns out Anthony and Derrick are cousins. This is truly a family runned business, as advertised! They were able to work out things that did come up with during the move. These folks are indeed SOLUTION-ORIENTED. Not only that, they were very sociable. They kept me calm, as they got to know me, and spoke to me like a friend would. I appreciated that, given all that I was going through. At the same time, they were still time efficient, moving at a swift yet steady and methodical pace. Like with loading the truck, the unloading was just like clockwork. A lot of the stuff was quite heavy; and yet Anthony and Lamont were able to carry them up TWO FLIGHTS of stairs, as the elevator was out of service that day. One item that was particularly heavy was a large refrigerator! They do live up to the company's name FOR SURE! And just like that, before I knew it, all was settled, and I was in my new place. Everyone at Fit Movers were professional, efficient, punctual, personable, solution-oriented, precision-driven, and most importantly of all, they were KIND. They made this whole experience easy, enjoyable and WORTHWHILE. Book them for your next move, if you are in their service area! Thank you Derrick and the team at Fit Movers! Thank you especially, Anthony and Lamont! Gratefully, Owen read more

Thankfully, I didn't actually have to move. But DerrickJ the Owner had given me a great flat rate! He was very courteous and respectful, and I felt valued as a potential customer!!! if I have to move anytime in the future in or out of Bakersfield, I'll contact his company first!!! read more

They were very responsive and prompt. Very easy to work with. The movers are all very young. If you're looking for muscle to move your home, they're perfect. If you're looking for knowledge, professional movers, I'd say they are probably not the ones. My fridge has dings that it never had before and my mattresses all look like they were dragged across the yard and not protected at all. The mattress isn't even a year old! It's odd because they wrapped many other items. read more

I freaking loved these guys! They were super fast and friendly. Definitely recommend these guys.

Antoine and Eddie were the best!! I highly recommend this moving company for any of your moving needs. They were extremely fast and efficient. Very polite and asked exactly what we needed and performed at a very fast rate. They were so helpful they even added extra time to help us unload (that wasn't asked for in the beginning) they were able to move all of our big appliances and 2 bedrooms furniture/bed/dressers in just a little over 2 hours. Thank you guys again! read more

Antoine and Eddy were stellar. They successfully moved two pallets of very, very heavy boxes of cement tiles for me to LA. They were incredibly diligent, and showed initiative when there were unforeseen challenges, and they went above and beyond to ensure the job was done properly. They were also super friendly, polite, and professional. And the price was good value for the service. I would use them again (in fact, this is my second time using Fit Movers, and second time with Antoine). I would recommend them to anyone. P.S. I thought I had given them a review (also five-star) for the first time I used them about a month ago, but don't see it! Antoine and Jean moved a couch, and heavy crate containing a bathtub for me. Like this time, it was at a good price, and with the same stellar, polite, friendly, professional service I wrote about above. read more

We requested for Fit Movers to move our home and pack a few things for us. We have a baby grand piano, and they agreed to be able to move it. It was an out of town move and they stayed with us until the job was completed. They took really good care of our things and provided us with insurance information for protection of our things. We appreciated their professional attitude and work in accommodating this difficult move. It was an overall great experience and am happy we put our trust in them. I can confidently recommend them to help make what can be a stressful transition time much easier. read more

Fit movers made my moving experience easy. I had read tons of horror stories online while researching the right moving company for me. They were honest, on time, courteous, thoughtful and excellent problem solvers. And what I thought was going to be a long stressful day actually was actually calm fun and without issue. I couldn't say enough positive things about Fit Movers. They didn't overcharge me, nothing was broken or damaged and they drove through a winter storm and still made it to my destination on time! I would highly recommend them to any looking to do a local or long distance move like myself. They exceeded all of my expectations and then some. Thank you again Fit Movers for everything you did to make my experience a positive one. read more

Derrick and teams were extremely helpful and professional during my move out of Bakersfield. The guys quickly packed up my things (with care) and wrapped each furniture item I owned with the proper materials to protect them. Communication was awesome throughout the movement process -- and Fit Movers was actually one of the only moving companies within my budget in the Kern County area. These guys drove through extreme weather conditions and had some obstacles during my move, but they did it with a positive attitude. I was more than happy to support this black owned-millennial-owned business during the pandemic! Would highly recommend. read more

Dre, Jason and Eddie were very, courteous, on time and very professional. They are hard workers and know their stuff!! I would definitely use them again!! Ty fellas for a job well done!! read more

I worked with two different teams on two consecutive days. First day we had Dante, Mike, and Jason. These guys ran when they could have walked. They cared about our stuff and took good care of it. They moved us from a second floor apartment to a first floor unit across town in about 3.5 hours. They were awesome! They didn't feel that they could move my piano, though so it had to stay an extra day. The next day the owner, Derrick, showed up with three new guys. 20 minutes later my studio piano was loaded into their truck. I'm in my new living room looking at it now... no nicks or anything! And Derrick made everything right regarding the piano move , too... thank you, Derrick!! I highly recommend these guys! Professional, cheerful, attentive, fair, and... fit! read more

I can't say enough great things about this moving company. Extremely responsive - was able to get moved on the day I requested (which was on a days notice) and Sheri in the office and Mike and Gene, the movers were a pleasure to work with. I received a quote for 6 1/2 hours and the move came in at 6 hours. I wasn't charged a penny more than 6 hours. They handled my requests without a flinch and with a smile. Highly recommend. read more

As a company that drives around with their logo displayed on their truck, it's important to drive safely. Unfortunately that's not the case. Their drivers don't obey traffic rules. They almost ran into my car as I was turning into my neighborhood and didn't try to stop, even as they did not have the right of way. I hope they are more careful in the future. read more

The booking process was easy and the company was very responsive. The guys they sent worked quickly and efficiently and came under the estimated time. Everyone was very polite and happy to comply with any specific requests. There was some minor scuffing and scratching on some of our furniture but nothing major and seemed to me a normal part of moving. They also installed the washer hoses backwards (put the hot water in the cold water input). It's easy to flip but if you don't have the right tools or can't move the appliance, it could be a bit of a hassle. Overall, at $209/hour for 4 guys and a truck, I would call them again. read more

Fit Movers was great! I highly recommend! I had two big storage units that the team packed into two large 26 foot UHauls. There were four individuals and they were friendly, worked hard, and tightly packed the trucks with furniture, boxes, and etc. I can't rave enough about how efficient these guys were. Next move is definitely with Fit Movers. Price was fair, these guys showed up on time, and the communication was great! read more

No doubt they're great staff and provide exceptional service. I was recommended by a friend and their rate was way better than others. They were on time and worked fast. They charged by the hours and not by the number of items they have to move which was misunderstood over the phone. They finished in less than two hours and I didn't have much furniture to move as initially planned. They would certainly get 5 stars but I'm docking a star for the following reasons: 1. The first thing they ask when they arrived was to use the restroom. 2. One of the staff made me uncomfortable with his cryptic way of flirting with me. 3. The same staff didn't do much and spent more time walking around and on his phone. 4. When they took the TV off my wall, they also created a hole. 5. One scratch my wall and left a mark with the dolly. 6. Paid for the minimum even though it was completed in less time. Would I still recommend them? Yes. I only liked the two staff who seems to be far more experienced than the others and demonstrated excellent work ethics. read more

The owner said in his reply he only charged us less than $400 over his estimate. This is not true. It was actually $778.06 over (almost double what he said) the estimate and it included a $113 fee for using a credit card (which we were never told about before getting charged the $113). I have proof of receipts and the estimate for anyone that has any doubts. For having to move boxes ourselves that the movers misplaced, cleaning up trash the movers left behind, and having to call the movers back to pick up stuff they left behind (after they all left without telling us), it seems excessive to overcharge this much and then charge a hidddn credit card fee. Do not recommend. read more

These guys and gals were awesome! Efficient, friendly, fun and funny and very careful with packing and moving. I saved $3,000 compared to a local mover competitor by using Fit Movers! The 3 young men that helped my mom move were absolutely wonderful! It was a difficult day and life transition for my mom, but Yanis and his crew were so kind and professional and STRONG. I was very happy with their service. They were flexible, timely, and efficient. I found their pricing to be better than competitors and they had a quick response time when I contacted them. I originally was scheduled to move in the afternoon, but asked the same day if they could move up the time for me. They adjusted their schedule and immediately accommodated my last minute request. They came early, moved my stuff from my storage unit to my apartment, and set up my main furniture items for a 1300sq ft 2 bedroom 2 bath apt in a little under 3hrs. Paying was easy, the owner was very nice, and the workers were really pleasant and helpful. When I move again I will be contacting them. Not sure what happened with the other reviewer's move, but when I lived in an apt with stairs it took forever to move and it's almost impossible to estimate. When you have stairs and parking is far from your unit you have to add an additional hour at least. read more

Thank you to the two young gentlemen who helped me move my furniture into my uhaul truck back in July 2020. This review is a little overdue but I appreciate the professionalism and the help they provided. They were respectful of our home, polite, and made sure to wear masks due to the pandemic. It didn't take a full 2 hours to move my furniture (1 hour to complete the job) but the price for a 2 hour move (~$80) was worth it and I do like that the owner is giving younger folks the opportunity to enter the work force and earn some cash. They stacked and moved my furniture carefully and wrapped the pieces properly to prevent damage. Thank you for making my move so easy and seamless! read more

I have moved so much in my lifetime, and let me tell you Fit Movers has been by far the best moving experience I have had. We did a Long distance move from a 5 bedroom house. They had everything under control as they worked from 8 in the morning till 10 at night. They disassembled and assembled everything for us and placed everything in the new house as we wanted. I searched online and got many quotes, but Fit movers was the most affordable and professional. They also stayed under my budget and had no hidden charges as well as no over charges for traffic.
