Flow has changed my every day life. I had very little…read moreexperience in anything fitness and frankly was embarrassed to start. But Collin has been so patient in teaching me at my strength and pace and keeping me motivated to come back. I am a mother of 2 boys, 4 & 1, and wanting to be a better version of myself for them is the reason I reached out to Collin. Now, I am in month 2 at Flow and am already able to do things I couldn't before with my boys and I am forever grateful for this lifestyle change.

FLOW Mobility and Strength is for the athletes who are trying to get to the next level of strength…read moreand conditioning, for the working person who feels like they don't have enough time to get a good workout in because they're so "busy", for the middle aged or older person who feel depressed about the physical state of their body and FLOW Mobility and Strength is for the chronic pain sufferers. I am a little shy of 30 years old and I have been experiencing extreme back pain for +/- four years. What kind of back pain can a 30 year old have? I had trouble mowing the front and back yard in one day because the pain became so intense. Waking up in the middle of the night to use the restroom was a ten or more minute process because the pain to stand was so bad. I needed help to put on my socks because I couldn't bend over. I was concerned that my ability to have and provide for a family could be limited because of how quickly my pain had progressed. I had gone to doctors, acupuncturists and physcical therapists and what I got was a boiler plate list of exercises to do that only attempted to treat the direct pain, not remedy the problem. When FLOW Mobility and Strength moved to town I cautiously, yet optimistically looked at the mission of FLOW as my best shot for something helping me. I was not wrong. Collin, the owner of FLOW, is so in tune with my needs as a client. He sees weakness in my movement and will adjust to ensure that every exercise is done properly and intentionally making sure I am making improvement not problems for my body. I started with Collin doing essentially only stretches, everyday hurting like heck because my body was so stuck and deteriorated, over the weeks Collin slowly incorporated easy movement and very light weight. Months later, I am actually using real weights, pushing hard and I can honestly say I haven't felt this lack of pain in 4-5 years. I am no longer worried about waking up in the morning because I can wake up like a normal person again! Collin works to enhance the natural movement of the body and create a machine out of each client that is well equipped to move the way it is supposed to. The thing that makes Collin and FLOW Mobility and Strength different is his understanding of the body, of nutrition and the overall physiology of the body. When I do work outs I can let Collin know if a single body part is uncomfortable and he can manipulate the work out so I no longer aggravate the muscle/joint and still finish a challenging workout without quitting. Collin is not the run of the mill trainer, he is college educated in his field and continues his education through seminars, trainings and constant self trial. I not only ask, but encourage you to give FLOW Mobility and Strength a try. His passion is contagious and inspiring and has led to myself being essentially pain free. PS - during the age of COVID, the training is one on one in his beautiful gym (or small groups) and he cleans all of the equipment after every use. For the athlete, busy person, middle aged adult or pain stricken person - use FLOW as your option for health and change!

Communication is important as she'll adjust your program based on your goals and how you're feeling. I went in with having some vague ideas about what I want to achieve and course corrected over the span of a couple sessions. She plans out your sessions for you so you have something concrete to follow on the days that you're just working out on your own. I've definitely been pleased overall with Amy and The Bar as my first experience with personal training. In my research for personal trainers, I always felt like pricing was intentionally hidden and reviews never did much to help in that department (what the heck?). I won't break whatever unspoken rule is at play here, but I will say that it's not cheap. That being said, I do think that it's worth the money especially if you're just starting out and have no idea how to plan a workout and need that guidance.

Work outs at the Bar are truly enjoyable. Previously, I had very little experience with weight lifting and was a bit intimidated when going into the gym. I have learned so much and now have confidence when working out on my own. I started with Albert wanting to both lean out and grow muscle. Over the past year Albert has helped me gain strength in various muscle groups, one of my favorite area of improvements is the glute growth I have seen! I really recommend checking out the Bar for personal training or group classes.

I started going to their boot camp classes and was so happy to find them challenging and different everyday similar to what I was used to at OTF. I wanted to write this post now because I was at the grocery store today and the cashier asked where I trained at! I am 6 months Pregnant! It felt so great for someone to ask me that when I feel like I feel like I am carrying an obvious baby belly! All of the trainers are so great and helpful. They have given me great guidance and modifications throughout my pregnancy so far. They make sure everyone in the class keeps their form on point to avoid any unnecessary injury. I am personally very comfortable with weight lifting on my own and joined for the motivation and accountability factor. But, if you are new to weight lifting or intimidated by the gym, the classes are GREAT place to get some knowledge as well.

He also kept me on my toes with his variety of workouts, ranging from weight training, circuit training, and boxing. I can't recommend this gym enough!! "Small scene, big results."
