They gave me a tour of their facilities. 4 different studios, some heated some not. Their workout room has an armory of workout equipment that is extremely impressive, and the teacher is on a podium with the days equipment already setup so you know exactly what to get. One of their studios have aqua punching bags and was quite cool. Other Pros: -The locker rooms are clean, have showers, plastic bags for wet clothes, and plenty of towels. There's also lockers all over that have free to use locks. -The schedule is packed with classes daily so you really have a bunch of options to choose from -they have multiple types of membership so you can pick what fits your motivation and the prices are actually pretty good considering the location -there's evidence of community everywhere from their giant wall sized community board at the front to just smiling faces and conversation in the back Cons: -the website kept looping me to the front page even though I was already logged in. I couldn't update my personal information and kept getting error messages when I tried to do anything. -This is one of those places where the low pricing is mitigated by having hidden fees and confusing legal text. There's a fine for signing up for a class and not showing up or canceling with 4 hours of start time. The punch cards are also time limited. The signup for a membership has you sign a waiver that says you're responsible for canceling it 30 days in advance and you will still be charged an additional month. I get it, but it leaves a sour taste. Just be diligent with your plans and you can take advantage of a truly awesome gym.

Still *love* this gym. Wanted to add that I've been doing PT sessions (8x a month) with their personal trainers, Jeremy and Andrew. Can't recommend them enough! Both know their stuff, provide excellent feedback, support, and motivation, and something that didn't occur to me ahead of time - they help get the weights/exercises setup, which makes my time in the gym that much more efficient! The gym is going to continue adding new equipment, and they have some great plans for the future. I'm excited to see what comes.

I do the Power the Active and the Spin classes, in a way a blended kind of Crossfit but one that normal people like me can enjoy being part of. No one walks around in the latest spandex and there are no 'muscle heads'. This is interesting entertaining and refreshing exercise that anyone can do and do it up to any level they choose. I had tried another lifting trainer nearby who just didn't work out, when I came to Camie to try working out with her. She's been wonderful for my physical and mental health ever since! She not only helped me with my goal of losing weight (40lb+ down and still losing), but also helped me with my nutrition and my last year's cardio goals as well of running my first marathon this past month. She does such a great job of always making sure to train her clients safely but also always continuing to push us well! Everyone comes to her with different goals, and she works individually with each of us on our personal goals.

We all have different goals (add muscle mass, lose weight, improve conditioning, etc), but to get results sometimes you just need someone else to lay it out for you and hold you accountable. I'm currently maintaining the most muscle mass in my life with noticeable improvements in strength, while the wifey has slimmed down a ton while adding muscle as well. We're all human and have flaws (cheat days) which she understands, but she'll hold you accountable for your poor diet and is always suggesting nutrition improvements. The workout space is in a building suite, with all the weights, machines, training equipment, etc. This isn't a typical gym; there are no cardio treadmills/ ellipticals/ bikes, but you can get the same effect with what she has you do (what trainer wants to watch you do cardio anyways?). The workouts are kept challenging and tailored to your end goal, as she pushes you to the max. She trains all age ranges from teens to seniors, individuals and small groups as well. Camie will be challenging, but at the same time everybody grows close (you can talk about anything and everything) as everyone operates on similar work out schedules. Definitely recommend her, and her loyal clients would probably agree as well.

I had heard about OTF from friends and social media promotions that promised a special rate for new…read moremembers when they first opened; I've now been a member for almost a year! First off, the Bellevue location is the ONLY OTF location in the United States that has two fitness studios (2 workout gyms) and three showers! This means there are more classes available than most locations. One of OTF's unique value propositions is a heart rate monitor you wear under your shirt along your chest or on your wrist that displays your data on a large monitor in class alongside your peers'. This data indicates your heart's beats per minute, calories burned, and which "zone" you're in. Grey, blue, green, orange, and red--each signifying your heart rate zone. Because of this, you'll need a heart rate monitor in order to participate, which means investing in your own through OTF. At the end of the class you get your stats emailed to you. When you first arrive, you pick a number and machine: either rower or treadmill. This is where you start. All workouts are different, but generally you'll do a short warmup on whichever station you grab a card for. If you have a row card, it'll also assign you to the weight floor. The weight floor will involve weights, TRX, body weight, and more. The coach will explain the exercises, and then there will be animations of people doing the exercises up on the television screens for reference. Upon completion of your three blocks, you switch with the other group who is on the treadmill. Yes, you will spend about half the class on the treadmill, so be prepared to power walk, jog, or run for that entire time! There's a cheat sheet on the treadmills to help you determine which group to go in, and during that time you either are at your base speed (active recovery), push pace (a little faster than your base to get you uncomfortable), or all put pace (as fast as you can run). The coach guides you through each interval, which is strategically planned to get your heart rate up, and then down. Overall, great experience. Membership here will get you membership at any other location, which is a huge plus. Looking forward to trying more classes!

The Bellevue studio is incredibly spacious compared to other locations and the front desk staff are all super nice. However, post-pandemic I've taken classes with 3+ different coaches at the Bellevue location, and my biggest gripe is that none of the coaches seem to give corrections on form. I've been to several other studios - Kirkland, Bel-Red, Shoreline, Wallingford, etc. - and most of the coaches at those studios will correct me and others when we're doing something wrong. If there are no corrections or tips on how to improve, I don't see the difference between having an in-person coach vs. an automated audio track timed with the instructions for the day. At other studios, I notice the coaches will also try to get to know the members and give shout outs. I haven't observed this at Bellevue and the studio vibe feels much more impersonal. Still, I love Orangetheory and the Bellevue location has its perks: double studios, easy parking, Starbucks across the street, etc. I just wish it felt more personal and that the coaches were more engaged.

I used to use the gym as punishment to my body for looking the way I did. Now my mindset has completely shifted thanks to Marisa. I'm excited to go the gym because I GET to, because I have the CHOICE to. It's no longer a punishment, it is a badge of the hard things I can accomplish and the privilege I have to move my body. This outlook has truly changed my life, I choose this mindset every day in all aspects, and pass it along to whoever will listen. On top of that, HHbM is a community where we bond through events such as clothing drives, charity work, and good old fashion fun at a brewery on a Friday night! I am so grateful to be a part of HHbM!

HHbM Review/testimonial…read more I have been going to HHbM for about 6 months now and I absolutely am in love with everything about Marissa, the community she's created and my workouts at her gym. I did a ton of research before deciding on HHbM and it was the best decision hands down. I was quite happy with another gym I belonged to, however a change in my lifestyle and responsibilities changed and it was no longer a good fit for me. Since joining HHbM I've become stronger, remained extremely consistent, gained confidence, lost weight and have made friends that are part of the community she's created. Additionally, my life is constantly changing and I find myself away from my home frequently and I love I can join her virtual sessions and it feels like I'm amongst my workout buddies and at the gym. Marissa truly cares - one element of fitness I never truly grasped was the element of self care, with Marissa's help and motivation this has been a game changer for me. It's helped me not only drop 20 plus pounds, but improve my health significantly. At almost 65 years of ago, I'm the strongest, fittest and most confident version of myself. The fitness industry can be confusing and deceptive, but Marissa, the members and the health atmosphere at HHbM she's created is truly a rare find. She keeps her workouts challenging, different and educates you along the way. It's an atmosphere I look forward to at every workout and keeps me motivated to return and stay accountable.
