It's a great place for women to work out together and feel good about themselves. I always walk away being glad that I have gone.

I've never been someone who can commit to a gym membership or regular exercise. I've tried many…read moretimes over the years, but I always get bored and unmotivated and then fizzle out quickly. I was nervous to try OTF because of my lack of fitness and experience. My trial class was with Coach Anna. The studio called the night before to walk me through what to expect, which I really appreciated. On the day of the first class, the front desk staff and Coach Anna walked me through everything and answered all my questions. Anna continued to check in throughout the workout to make sure I was doing okay. I finished and was shocked that I didn't hate it. I very hesitantly signed up, but I'm happy to report that months later, I'm still loving it and feel better than ever. Things I love about OTF in general: I don't have to make decisions about what exercises to do each day, I can't back out last minute if I'm not in the mood (there's some flexibility for real emergencies if you call them), you set your own pace and intensity, classes fly by and I don't get bored, coaches are always there to answer questions and give feedback/recommendations, the benchmarks and challenges keep me motivated, and maybe most importantly, I've seen huge changes in my overall health and strength. Specific Shoreline studio details: the front desk staff are so friendly. They always greet me by name with a smile. The studio is clean and well cared for. I mostly take classes with Anna and Mitchell, just because that's what works with my schedule. They are both amazing at what they do. They're kind, motivating, personable, and I love that they give me feedback on form when lifting. For me, this is really important so I don't injure myself and so that I'm working the right muscles. One piece of feedback is for ALL of the coaches to give feedback on form on the weight floor. I've taken some classes where the coaches are pretty quiet and don't really interact with the people in the class, and it's not as helpful for me as someone newer to lifting. Overall, I love this OTF studio and look forward to many classes to come (especially with Anna and Mitchell)!

Lets start with a little context. I'm a 45 year old obese white dude that has a pretty miserable…read morerelationship with physical activity. At best, we tolerate each other. I did a 4 month stint at Super Fit last year (located across the street) a year ago and it really worked well for me, I really started to like being active there. So, after a year break from there, it was time to find activity again. I decided to shop around and give OTF a try, to compare it to Super Fit and see if maybe it would be as fun as some friends and family have said it is (husband raves about it). Everyone working the desk was super friendly and helpful, I had a nice intake session and the facility is new and clean. Then I was introduced to Christian, the instructor for the class. He gave me an orientation to the room. Unfortunately, he didn't actually spend any time on explaining the any of the weight exercises, only the cardio. During the actual class, which had about 10 of us total, he was watching but he seemed to be watching me slightly, I got corrections twice but he managed never to see the fact I couldn't figure out one of the exercises truly. So, by the time I was done with the introductory class, the joint of my right shoulder started hurting and I felt like I didn't get any coaching value at all. I found the loud music irritating and the lighting, while trendy, was dark and made it hard to see the few screens in the facility with the order of activity. I called and gave the front desk feedback on my disappointing session and the fact I felt injured. And to their credit the manager then called me later in the day and really listened to my feedback. So this part of my experience was great and I gave them one extra star to this review. I think OTF may be for folks more fit and more experienced and comfortable with the exercises. And thats too bad, cause I really WANTED to fall in love with this place. But if I'm getting injured and feeling unsupported, its just not gonna be a good fit for me at this point.

It's not a pool to do real laps, although some people attempt. Treading water, using water weights, walking around or running in place, and things like that work well in this pool. It has enough chlorine in to keep you safe but otherwise the facility could use a bit more deep cleaning and upkeep. With those of us that feel like it is a necessary place for us to be have no complaints. It's been a fantastic place to meet people and actually make some new acquaintances and friends. I've been coming here for a very long time. It was different pre-Covid because you had more hours to come. I missed that. Wade Zinn is the owner and he is my physical therapist. I use this pool for my aquatherapy in order to prepare for my upcoming for my hip replacement. But like I said, I have been coming for years prior to my hip issue and I'll be coming for as long as he keeps this pool open. His sauna is great. I don't think he'll ever open the whirlpool again. It's been closed for - well - since forever. I don't use the other equipment so I have no idea how to evaluate the workout machines. And this small therapeutic pool is not for everyone but I can attest to those of us that come regularly are very appreciative that is here.
