I love this place. The quality of instructors and the genuine connection to yoga and philosophy at the core is shown throughout the community. There are always a wide range of students practicing. The teachers make it a point to try and offer accommodations to various fitness/mobility needs. I wish the room got hotter, but that's my own personal preference. I've taken a variety of classes at the Edmonds location and Richmond beach. I'm usually at the 6 am classes and I'd love to see more days added to the schedule but the Tue/Thur crew has great energy, flow, and sequencing. It's amazing how even a slow vinyasa class can be felt as "difficult or hard" depending on where your focus is. I wish more instructors would come around and perform hands-on adjustments. I feel like that has gone to the way side with most studios since the pandemic, but adjustments or assists are so amazing when given appropriately. I also wish there was more diversity in the teachers, but that just means more yoga teachers need to apply to instruct at this lovely place. If only there were more evening classes as well as, my work goes past the 5:30/6pm start time of some of the evening classes. And lastly Edmonds location has free parking lot in the back which is a plus! read more

This yoga studio is the best! The instructors and staff are welcoming, the classes are approachable and most important to me is it is FUN and not too serious. Just took my first class this week at the Edmonds location and loved the class. Owner & teacher were so friendly and welcoming. The studio is a beautiful space right in downtown Edmonds and also has a parking lot right behind the building which was really convenient since I was worried about street parking before class. I took the Hatha class on the new student 4 week trial and found it really easy to book online. All of the props were provided and I just opted to bring my own yoga mat but I did see those were available also. I personally have been looking for a studio that offers slightly heated classes since I can't handle hot yoga just yet, they offer classes with a variety of temps which is great. They even gave me a welcome gift which was super sweet! I'll definitely be back. read more

I hadn't gone to yoga in years and started at Twist a year ago in preparation for a week long yoga retreat.I had no intention of joining but after a few weeks I knew I had found someplace very special. I love Twist. There's something for everyone here. The intensity and "style" of the classes vary from teacher to teacher, so I'd encourage anyone trying it out to attend different classes. Another thing I enjoy about twist is they break some of the typical "stereotypes" you often associate with yoga. Everyone regardless of body, age, experience, etc can join and feel comfortable showing up to class. I love the authenticity, personal connections, & multiple offerings at Twist. I love being able to practice a slow yin class or a vigorous vinyasa at the same studio (and even on the same day). I purchaced a 10 session package which expires after 1 year. I used 2 sessions before COVID closure. I am unable and do not enjoy zoom virtual sessions. The studio extended 3 months, but in-studio yoga was still not open. My request for an extension was denied. Very disappointing. read more

My home away from home :) I have been going to Twist for a few years now and feel the most comfortable than I ever have in a yoga space. When leaving my last yoga studio (due to moving) I wasn't sure I'd ever find another space that would feel as comfortable or as sweet as the place I was leaving. I was welcomed to Twist as a regular, even before ever becoming a regular student. There are no "in" crowds at Twist- everyone is lovely to each other and extremely welcoming. There are all sizes, shapes, ages, colors and genders/non genders and so for this reason I feel it's a very inclusive space. Because there are body positive classes, and also Trauma Informed Yoga workshops (among so many others) I feel Twist is very aware of how important languaging is and creating a safe space for everyone. The teachers are incredible humans, Jen is an amazing leader and the students at Twist are very special. I love my yoga studio and feel extremely fortunate and privileged to attend classes here. read more

I am so happy that I found Twist Yoga in Edmonds. I had been a regular yoga student at the Edmonds Parks and Rec Yoga Center for almost 20 years. Covid ended the life of that center and I couldn't find another class that worked for me as an older student. At the first class I attended at Twist I knew I had found my "Yoga Home". 10 years ago, Twist Yoga opened its first studio in the middle of Edmonds and for 10 years I've loved taking classes there. All teachers are very well trained, passionate about yoga and teaching, and lovely human beings. And each day, there are countless classes and styles of yoga to choose from. I did the intro series with Meghan and it was really great and helped me get comfortable with yoga again and the studio. She was a really great instructor and her physical therapy background really navigates her style. I have purchased the membership and exploring more of the beginner classes. The body positive class on Tuesdays with April is by far my favorite so far. As a more full figured person, I have recently become frustrated with yoga and my body and this class has provided me with a comfortable environment and making me feel less defeated. I am so grateful I found Twist! I had been doing hot yoga for several years that was mostly focused on the physical aspect of yoga. I was becoming restless and looking for something more. I recently moved from Lynnwood to Edmonds, so I was looking for a yoga studio closer to home. I was on the hunt for a new yoga studio when my closed. It is not so easy to find a studio that is not hot yoga. Located right in downtown Edmonds I gave Twist a try. Great space and lots of parking. They have lots of classes to choose from and a good intro rate to try the studio out, $39 for 30 days. I tried them out and signed up for a monthly unlimited membership. I moved up to Lynnwood recently from Kirkland and have been on the hunt for a new yoga studio. I LOVED my one in kirkland but it is just too far. I don't do "hot" bikram yoga. I like warm yoga that makes you sweat and really helps you go deeper into the muscle tissue. I have been practicing for over 6 years so I can say that I know how to safely modify and intensify. I came to several classes here with different instructors. The room is nice but a bit small. The class sizes were also pretty small. I am not sure if that is just because it is summer time or what...anyways.... I really wasn't challenged in these classes at all even if I intensified. I never even broke a sweat in the classes. One day when it was actually *warmer* in the studio someone in the back asked to turn on the fans... Another class was really small, only 10 people and 2 ladies got up and left halfway through the class... I hate to say that I am a "serious yogi" but I guess I am and this studio was just lacking a bit for me both energetically and physically. Oh well I guess I will keep searching. read more

I absolutely love Twist Yoga! I had been talking about joining a yoga studio for so long and when I found Twist in downtown Edmonds I was excited to try it out. They have a great new member special, 30 days for $39. They offer a variety of classes throughout the week from Yoga Basics to Power Vinyasa. All of the instructors are welcoming and attentive to the needs of the class. The studio is not big, which I enjoy, but get in about 10 min before class starts to get a good spot! This studio is amazing. They offer classes all day. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Before I joined, they offered a trial special which allowed me to attend as many classes as I wanted for one month for $30 (I believe it was $30. It wasn't much). They offer a diverse range of classes and instructors which meet your skill level needs. Also once in a while, they offer a Kid yoga class so your kids can also practice yoga in a fun way. When I first joined Twist, I was in dire need of relaxation and really needed to learn how to slow down in general. I had a high-stress job and was accustomed to moving at such a busy, rapid fast pace, that it was affecting my health. The studio listened to my needs and suggested trying the Yin and Gentle Yoga classes. At first, I thought they were too slow and focused too much simply on breathing, but I soon discovered that the Yin Yoga and Gentle Yoga classes have been exactly what I need in life. Yin Yoga is my favorite. While the class operates at a slower pace, the movements are very fluid and allow you to focus on your breathing. I'm very fortunate that they offer Yin Yoga five days a week. While Twist offers many amazing instructors, my favorite is Bridgette. She has a very calming, relaxing presence in her Yin and Gentle Yoga classes. I love it! My life has been so much better since I have joined Twist Yoga. read more

High quality yoga with heart! I practiced here for six months before I signed up for the 200 hour Teacher Training. I was so happy to find Twist when I first moved to Seattle because of the excellent teachers, warm space and sense of community. I had been looking for a studio to deepen my practice for a few years and knew that Twist was it after practicing a few times here. I finally made it to check out the studio, have been thinking about it for years but now that the brew place next door is gone it seemed like the perfect opportunity. While I love beer, I wasnt sure this would make my yoga very productive. I might be thinking about beer the whole time. Room is very spacious, with a large lot out back and free street parking in front. Like most places props are available, although now mat rental is a 1$. A small amount of things are for sale, I did have my eye on a manduka mat. Lots of people go to this studio so I am suprised there are no reviews. The room is kept warm which I love. I've only taken a few classes, but so far my favorite instructors are Yvette and Michael, unfortunately it appears that they have only a few classes on the schedule, but if you get a chance do check them out. Michael is so supportive and praising, and Yvette gives the best little massage releases. If only this studio was closer to me, but it might be worth the drive. read more
