Their menu is big - lots to choose from. I've been 3 or 4 times now, and continue to get something different. I am always equally impressed. Most recently, I had the chance to sit at the counter. If you can swing it, I would recommend asking to sit here. The team behind the counter is a well oiled machine, and I literally sat their jaw dropped, watching them take in orders, cook, plate, and get dishes out to the customers. As for the food, it is definitely the best breakfast around. Large and delicious servings and choices. Today, I enjoyed the pancakes stuffed with bananas, chocolate chips and peanut butter. They offer many different t choices of pancakes, omelettes and/or French toast. I highly recommend and make it a point to eat there every time I am in Avalon or Sea Isle. read more

We were eager for healthier breakfast options and decided to go with Fishin' Pier Grille. Though every table was full and there were others waiting, our wait time was only 10 minutes so we were able to get in quick during a busy time. The staff was friendly and there is only outdoor seating and most of the tables are in the way of the sidewalk. There were people who would walk through without masks on. The tables are also super close to the street so when cars were parking they would come close to the tables. My biggest complaint is that there were birds everywhere getting extremely close to touching those sitting. I know this isn't the restaurants fault due to the circumstances, but just wanted to inform those wondering about our experience. The food was delicious! I got the Florentine Benedict and my friend got the pork roll egg and cheese and both were wonderful. They had lots of flavor and they provided a lot of food for the price of our meals. They had us pay via Venmo or cash, no card. This was difficult because they did not split the check/ we had no cash on us so we had to figure out how much we owed separately, add up the tax, and then tip. Though the food was good, this would not be my choice of restaurant to return to. read more

had a great breakfast here after watching the sun rise on the beach. they open at 6:30 and we were the first patrons. in addition to indoor tables,there is outdoor seating available, right on the boardwalk. the experienced cook prepared our omelette and pancakes in no time, and everything was good and flavorful. You introduced me to FPG sad girl potatoes which were fantastic I've had them everyday since we arrived. The lox omelette was just woah! When it arrived my mind just said "no way just get a box" it was huge and well worth the price. The outdoor seating is lovely and the owls are fun. I moved one each time to awkwardly stare at me while I ate The woman who seems to live there who greets you at the door is also wonderful! Great smile with a cheery good morning is a great way to start the day! My only negative would be the avocado. $6 for half an avocado as a side is a bit much considering the cost of the main. I was really looking forward to this place and getting a good breakfast with the family. This was my first time here, however my family has been here before. Got here around 11 and waited around 20 minutes to get seated. We all ordered straight forward meals, such as pancakes. Well it took a while to get any food and I couldn't help but notice an older couple who arrived at least 15 minutes after we did get their food before us. And yes they also ordered pancakes. My wife and one daughter were served their meals, however my other daughter and I still waited on our pancakes. The waitress kept telling me "it's coming ". Really? After she told me that 3 times I got up to speak with the manager. When I went inside (we were seated outside) I saw tons of various pancakes being cooked on the grill. I asked politely where my order was and all of a sudden our waitress appears with my order. I think the next time I'm on vacation here I'll find me another breakfast spot as the food was nothing to brag about and service was below par. read more

I've been coming to 7 mile Island for 25 years.... can't believe I missed this great breakfast place on the Avalon boardwalk! The blueberry pancakes, which I normally think are boring, where fabulous. I wish I had the batter recipe! The S.M.C omelette (spinach mushroom cheese) off the regular menu was fabulous. Substitute feta cheese, but they will charge you extra. The mushrooms were particularly yummy. Notice that all the special items were more expensive. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee. Yuck! But they kindly substituted tea for me. Thank goodness it's air-conditioned, because it's a very hot morning! We will be back! read more

There are two locations, one in Stone Harbor and this one on the boardwalk in Avalon. This location is much smaller and can accommodate fewer customers, and there is still a wait on most mornings. The pancakes are incredibly good, and the omelettes are the "fluffy" kind, rather than the "crepe-like" kind. The servers are all so friendly, and there is never a rush to move tables along even when there is a wait. Lots of great non-egg options for breakfast, including granola and yogurt, as well as avocado toast with a balsamic glaze, which is a real winner! read more

Very nice room. If you pay attention, you'll notice their plates are small. Maybe 10" rather than 12". With that said, it takes far less product to fill your plate. I am a big fan of New Jersey Diners, and compare the same breakfast dish. I was ready to pay a premium because of the resort location. I ordered my usual. Out comes the tiny plate, with a tablespoon of potatoes, 2 strips of bacon, rather than my usual 4, 1 slice of toast, rather than 2. I don't mind paying 20% more on vacation, but not for 35% less food. I am not the only reviewer that's noticed this. A review in May mentioned the same. By the way, they won't make you poached eggs..... one and done.... read more

We took our chances coming on a Sunday morning between 10-11am expecting a wait. Fortunately, we were able to snag two seats at the counter right away! The service was good considering how busy they were. We got menus and some coffee right away. Sitting at the counter, all the food looks so good and the vegetables they use look so fresh. I love the special omelet options that they have, and my boyfriend and I both got one. He got the broccoli rabe and sausage, which he added provolone cheese to for a classic combination. He raved about his omelet, and the bite I had was very flavorful. I ordered prosciutto, tomato, and asparagus. I really enjoyed it, though the prosciutto was so thick and not what I was envisioning (the classic thinly sliced kind). The huge chunks made those bites extremely salty, so be aware! Everyone here is so so friendly and I can't wait to come back. We sat in front of the baked goods tray and they were so tantalizing. I just wish the cafe wasn't cash only. read more

I love this place so much and come every Summer when I visit Avalon. Was there today with my mom and two boys. The owner and wait staff are all so pleasant and accommodating. I love the outside seating with umbrellas. I am a gardener so I truly appreciate her hanging baskets and overflowing window boxes. Such a pretty setting on the boardwalk. I have been raised on this breakfast and I do not intend to ever live my life without it. While I embarrassingly always stick with buttermilk pancakes (classics are classics), everything that comes out of this kitchen is delicious and all the fuel you need for an entire day of lounging at the shore. My family frequently indulges on their jalapeno or mushroom omelettes which are delicious, and I love their seemingly endless coffee too. So many sweet food and fam memories here :) It gets crowded, so I am very excited that they are opening some other locations to hopefully spread the wealth. Go early! read more

Home fries are simple and prepared well. If you like sausage it's the tastiest one around. They serve fresh squeezed oj and probably their biggest gem is the grilled cinnamon bun. My Husband had a western omelet which was only average. The restaurant is aware of the number of flies in the building yet chooses to do nothing about it.
