When I brought my car in for a recent A/C leak into my front passenger floorboard caused by clogged tubing, they fixed it and didn't charge me. Andy told me that he didn't want to nickel and dime me for an easy fix. They are fast and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Last year, they failed my car because of old windshield wipers. I gave them another chance this year because they are close to my home, but they failed me again because of a loose front plate. I had it screwed back in and returned, but they still said it was not drilled properly. I then went to another inspection shop with the car in the exact same condition, and it passed without any issue. This place wasted my time and money. It feels like they are focused on finding small reasons to fail inspections and push minor repair fees. I will not be going back, and I'll be telling my family and friends to avoid this shop.

I brought in my car for repairs, and I was concerned that the damage done would be astronomical…read more I'm grateful to say that the experts and staff at College Street Motors are an experienced and wise team, because my fears delayed me from getting the new tires I needed. I had driven on a flat, and if you're unaware, this can rapidly degrade the quality of your drive. You can wear a CB joint, your axel, or your rotor, if I recall, and too much wear on these can do immense damage to your car's future. I had replaced two of my tires and still felt a wobble. How could it be the tires, I thought? This is why College Street Motors' experience comes into play. The car might as well be a multi-piece orchestra, with brake drums, piston percussion, and wheel woodwinds. I don't intend to go over the top with this metaphor, because it sounds like a bunch of noise and shaking for me. The mechanic left me a very detailed note, describing how there was nothing more discernible than the loud noise coming from the tires I had yet to replace. No wobbling due to damage to other parts of the car. Plus, I believe they warranty their work, maybe I'm just thinking of my AAA membership. After my tires were replaced, I was relieved at how right they were. As internal combustion engine drivetrain cars are complex, so are electrical cars in their own way. It's a world I have yet to get into, or may never dig deep enough to really gain a foothold of experience. Luckily, there're mechanics just down the street for me that took only a bit of time to diagnose the problem, find a tire match for the ones I had just gotten new, and then both install and balance. I bet their experience pays dividends to other customers, too, who are hoping to make sense of a new problem with little labor and diagnostics. Thank you all, even the pickup with your front desk team was pleasant.

My car was brought in right away and after an hour and 45 minutes I asked if it was going to be much longer. This is when I was informed that they did not have the correct filter. I ask how long it was going to take to have it delivered and they said it was only a few minutes longer. There was no apology for their oversight on not confirming that they had the correct parts needed and no discount for my inconvenience for having to wait. I was a 1st time customer. The service for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation including tax was 105.97. I chose to support a local shop instead of a chain with thoughts that I would be supporting a small business and getting customer service that generally goes along with a privately owned company that wants to maintains a great reputation.

I called Tilton Automotive first thing Monday morning and asked if I could be seen as soon as possible. Although they said they were busy, they made time and scheduled me to come check out my car because they understood my urgency. They were caring, honest, and professional. I felt like I was treated respectfully. They identified the issue with my front axel, and in the very same day, obtained the parts, performed the repair, and called me back before end of business! I was even shown the failed parts to confirm the necessity of the repair. My car feels better than ever, and I was able to get back to my crazy schedule with minimum impact. The team at Tilton, especially Fred, was the best! True lifesavers and real professionals that care for the customer at fair prices.
