We left New Hampshire on July 11th. Our homes precious contents in the hands of a moving company, William C Huff Moving. They stored it until we returned to the States on September 24th when they delivered it to our new home in Cape Coral Florida. Both ends (pickup and delivery) went smoothly. The guys showed up when they said they would and did the work. We had over 10,000 pounds of "stuff" that was moved into storage, stored then delivered. Damage was close to nothing (an oil crayon to cover one scratch on the backside of a dresser did the trick). We had 13 estimates when we started this process. Matt wasn't the cheapest but was the lowest of the bidders that I considered capable. His final billing was slightly over what was estimated and he gladly refunded the difference. I would highly recommend Matt and his team for anyone that is considering moving.

Plus, didn't want to take it down the stairs. Said it would never go down stairs. When purchased it was moved up the stairs? He refused to move it. I had a coffee table that was part of the move that wasn't touched?! Upon abruptly leaving my home, he left a painting off the wall (that he moved out of the way to move the furniture) and left a wicker loveseat outside. I called this morning to speak with the owner, William Yartz and the gentleman I spoke with said Mr. Yartz was unavailable. I asked the man his name and he interrupted and said "I am the Manager", What do you want?" I began telling him my experience and he would not allow me to explain. I asked if he was one of the movers, he said yes. I started to tell him about the moving blanket he left and asked if Tiki Town Movers wanted to pick it up. I tried to ask for help in a solution to all of this and again, he spoke over me continuing to say it wasn't his problem and the loveseat he left outside was trivial. He hung up on me. I had hoped to speak with Mr. Yartz, but was refused. Please be careful when choosing a moving company.

Wish I had read the Yelp reviews first…read more.. I hired them for a one-bedroom apartment move, and they provided an estimate of $580.50 for 2.5 hours of labor. In reality, the job took twice as long, and I was charged $1,100.25--double the estimate! When I questioned the overcharge, Troy (the owner) explained that they typically recommend three movers for this type of move but only sent two. He claimed that even with a third mover (at a higher hourly rate), the total cost would have been "about the same" because a third person would only save 20 minutes--which makes zero sense. If three movers were recommended, why send only two? And how does an extra mover only save 20 minutes? This company lowballs estimates to get your business, then charges you double. If you want honest, transparent pricing, look elsewhere. Avoid Price Moving at all costs.

We had an unfortunate experience with Peluso Movers for a long-distance move from Florida to New…read moreJersey. The only reason we are not giving the 1-star is due to the fact that at least everything made it here, but not necessarily in one piece. Our issue started with 3 days before our move that was planned 3 months in advance with their staff. We received a call asking us to change our move date when we had made plans all focused around the move date that they gave us. They instead came and picked everything up a day earlier than planned (which we agreed to) and instead stuck it all in a warehouse for several days waiting for a driver. They did not provide any status updates and when we called from the road, they passed the buck off to the driver again. When everything arrived, the movers were unable to get our bed up the stairs (we had specifically asked our Peluso mover staff member if it would fit and he had assured us it would). We had to call another moving company to actually get our bed where we wanted it. We have asked Peluso for some kind of restitution for this additional cost and they have ignored us. Boxes that we asked if they were packed properly arrived mangled and some items were damaged. Again, no restitution. If you are moving to/from Naples, FL, we recommend you go with anyone but Peluso Movers. I am removing a star for the response by the owner of Peluso Movers. They refuse to take responsibility for throwing our "packed by owner" boxes (nothing was broken inside of them so clearly they were packed properly) being thrown around given that the pictures speak for themselves. They are not taken any responsibility for the bed issue and requests for discussion with their staff have gone unanswered. Wow... this unfortunate response is the cherry on the top of this mess
