The restaurant was very accommodating to our larger, 15-20 person party. Service was great as well. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed in the food. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not exceptional for the rather steep price tag. I had the filet (VERY tender) and the special zucchini, which was really just a lightly grilled or baked quarter of zucchini. Nothing particularly impressive. The lamb was a generous portion and my coworker was quite impressed. read more

Stopped by for happy hour after work. They have nice outdoor seating and occassionally there are live performers. I had their dang bang shrimp and key west shrimp, both were satisfying and on the happy hour menu. A little more on the pricier end for happy hour deals but since its fish it seemed reasonable. The service was fine, we had no complaints but I wouldn't label this place as my favorite happy hour spot. read more

Came here last Saturday w/the family but they told us they were full w/reservations and we tried outdoor patio but it was also full because of the happy hour. So ended up at Italian few doors down... (my bf said to me because we were under dressed and they didn't want to take us lol) Since we live in walking distance my bf and I decided to try again yesterday for the date night! We got there a few mins before Happy hour ends. We ordered a few drinks from happy hour menu. We were going to have a big dinner but we ordered too many from happy hour menu and got too full. Everything we ordered were so good! Sushi rolls were as good as you eat at Japanese sushi place! We ordered a few more cocktails to enjoy the rest of our date night. My bf ordered Clam chowder and it was So Big!! If you are thinking about having a Big entree I recommend not to get those soup unless like you have three people to share with. We ordered so many drinks and food but our bill was only $95! Loved the outdoor seating! Live music and food! I looked through the regular menu and can't wait to try entrees! The service was awesome!!! I love that your server actually shake your drink and pour your at the table! Our server was super busy but he still gave us very good service! Next time we will make a reservation and bring the whole family! read more

I have a few issues with this place. One, a little pricey. Two, happy hour prices only pertain to the area around the bar. Three, the wait staff cannot seem to get your order correct. Four, they add 18 percent to the bill. Was there with a party. Separate checks for the most part. I ordered calamari for an appetizer. I really wanted the happy hour calamari as it wasn't covered with crappy peppers and onions. Calamari was pretty good, but was ruined with the other crap they heaped on top of it. But alas, you cannot have happy hour calamari unless you are not in the main dining section. Besides, they forgot my order. Everyone was done with their appetizer when I asked where mine was. I ordered sashimi, which was just ok . Of course, I couldn't have happy hour sashimi at $5 for 2 pieces and had to have main menu sashimi for $11 for 2 pieces I ordered 2 orders of the tuna and one order of salmon. I only got one order of tuna and one salmon. The pickled ginger was sub par. I couldn't tell if it was ginger or shaved carrots. Hardly any flavor at all. At least I wasn't charged for 2 orders of tuna. To add insult to injury, 18 percent is automatically added to the bill for gratuity. Apparently they used to have a fish tank, which would have added some ambiance and made dining somewhat worthwhile, but no water in it. I will NOT be going back here. The sashimi I get from Red Bowl is way better and a LOT less expensive. I don't expect this restaurant to last long. read more

Very pretty interior and nice dining atmosphere. The staff and management were very attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the bone-in filet mignon. My wife ordered the Sea Bass. The filet had a lot of flavors, but I would not put this steak in a top 5 category. I had a bite of the Sea Bass and it was a melt in your mouth bite. It was excellent. We will definitely return and next time I will go with the pork chops. Definitely a nice experience, a bit overpriced, but I'm not complaining. It was nice to go to a restaurant for a special occasion and not see tourists in t-shirts and jeans. There is a dress code with a minimal standard of Business Casual. This is worth a visit for a special experience. read more

Best lobster tail I've ever had. When they overcooked the steak, they worked tirelessly to fix it and were extremely hands-on in an effort to make me happy. Made me like the experience even more. read more

I love FishBones. I love seafood. I love the atmosphere. I come here for a casual meeting with friends, and I come here for my anniversary dinner. Happy Hour is outstanding, but busy. The seafood is really terrific, but sadly, the one steak I have had here was terrible. But everything else I have had is awesome. Staff is friendly without being overly attentive- the perfect mix. I may try another steak- but it's hard when the seafood is done so well... read more

I used to love going here for years. Management does not care here if you have a problem or concern. Absolutely NOT customer-oriented. Servers are outstanding, but they don't have the last word. Beware. Food is great, but you need the entire experience to be positive and I was thoroughly disappointed. I think if they train management to treat customers better, then they will be 5 stars in the future. Very sad about my experience here. read more

Everything we ordered was done well. Tommy our server made our visit very pleasant. Definitely will return.

I absolutely adore Fishbones! I haven't eaten at the tourist I-Drive location, but I've heard it sucks compared to the Lake Mary location. Everything here is excellent and it had some of the freshest seafood available. The sushi is pretty awesome, but I definitely suggest trying their oyster sampler appetizer. My favorite entree is the seared Ahi tuna. But definitely check out their daily specials. Sometimes they get in gigantic stone crab claws. The wine selection is great and they poor stiff drinks. Always a plus. The food is pricey but it's excellent as well as the service. The decor is great too. My favorite is the outdoor patio and the bar that's plastered with oyster shells. read more

Love it when Stone Crab is in season. Their food is always fresh and they have the best lobster roll there. Love coming here

WE LOVE FISHBONES!!! They have wonderful food in a relaxed setting. My husband and I go occasionally for dinner, and it's always a treat. Although the title has the word "fish" in it, the steaks are our favorite thing there! We love to order the Ribeye and share it. It's a huge steak, brimming with flavor. You can taste the seasoning and fat perfectly. It chars around the edges and gives you a nice crunch without being overcooked on the inside. I've had the fish and a lobster dish also. Both were excellent. I love that they still do salad tableside, and that the service has always been great. We also go for happy hour. Happy hour is a blast! The food is super cheap and delicious and the drink specials are tasty. However, I will warn you that service here leaves a lot to be desired. This place gets PACKED!!!! You have to get there around 4:30 to even get a seat, and it can be hard to order food and drinks b/c it's so busy. This is the only reason that I can't give it 5 stars. Sometimes I feel like they are understaffed on the patio for happy hour. read more

This place is great, the service was a little slow on my last visit, but the food made up for it. Tried the Gilled chicken and fried Shrimp, the shrimp was to die for, it was perfectly crispy. The chicken was also cooked to perfection. We sat inside on this occasion with a group of friends. The atmosphere is kind of loud, so if you are looking for a quiet place then don't come here. I would recommend this place, their happy hour is amazing with half off appetizers, drinks and beers. Happy hour runs from 4:30 - 6:30 so get there early. It's a great place for a group, plan on making a reservation! read more

We had a great time! We were concerned that the fish wasn't from Florida so wouldn't be "fresh" but genuinely was a truly delicious meal! We had a bunch of appetizers, desserts, and cocktails. Robert was helpful, attentive, and steered us in the right direction on the menu! Very happy with our meal here and will gladly come back if in the area. read more

I come here a lot with friends for their happy hour. What I love about it is that they have food specials, even sushi, as well as drink specials! They are generally a pricier joint, but you can't go wrong with $2 drafts, and $1 tuna tacos. The service is always friendly, even if you're only ordering off the cheap menu. The servers are attentive, and let you know when last call is and everything. It fills up pretty quick after work gets out, so if you want the happy hour prices, it's best to get there early if you can. We've been left standing with our beers in a corner a few times, and everyone waiting roams around the tables on the patio, watching like hawks for people to leave. There's sometimes live music later at night, and for some people, that's their thing. I find it gets really loud on the patio, and it's hard to talk over the musician. I usually make it a point to order at least one thing off their regular menu while we're here - the escargot. There's just something about those little garlicky buttery gastropods that go so well with a cold glass of hefeweizen. Get a plate of $5 dang bang shrimp, sit out on the patio with a beer and some friends, and suddenly life looks pretty good. read more

This fish bones has one of my favorite happy hours in Orlando. The drinks and food on happy hour are reasonable and the outdoor atmosphere is always very lively, even with an older crowd in there 40s-50s ish. They have live music after 7 on the patio. That is a nice touch. Service is always pretty good even with the bustle of happy hour though you may start hunting someone down for water but that will probably be after your third glass of $4 wine. But that's when you know it's time for you to go home. The sushi is always good and I love the fresh oysters. The jalapeño cheese crab dip is also very tasty and addicting. Really everything is good you just can't go wrong. read more

I've been twice already. The first time I was trying to eat healthy so I got the grilled chicken. Nice enough, good smoke flavor, nice size salad. But the second time...oh sweet jesus! I got the rib eye! I love a good steak and have treated myself to some of the best steakhouses where ever I travel. This steak has got to be one of the top five i have ever had. The flavor! I hardly ate the potatoes that came with it, and they were only okay, but the ribeye made up for it. I will be visiting again before I leave. read more

While staying next door at the Residence Inn with my family, we took a stroll across the lawn to Fishbones. I had been there years ago, but not lately, nor with a 2 year old daughter. Based on the reviews, I had read that Fishbones was not kid friendly. That is false. Our Server, Guy, made us feel at home, and did a great job helping us keep our daughter entertained. From the moment we walked in, they had a high chair for us, and brought out the kids menu, which also serves as a coloring sheet, and crayons. And since the tables are covered in white butcher paper, there was no worrying about our daughter being artistic on the table. We started with a Wedge Salad, which is on par with the best Wedge salads anywhere. For our daughter we ordered the Fish Fingers, which came with potatoes, and we also ordered here a side of green beans. And she loved it. The Kids menu far exceeded our expectations. For dinner, we both ordered the two fillet plate - and needless to say, they were both good. For desert, since it was my birthday, Guy brought out a slice of their Key Lime pie, which was totally legit. Living in Wisconsin, we can't find good key lime pie like that. We both had a couple of selections from their Tap menu, and were pleased with the freshness of our beers and the qualify of beers on the list. Overall the service Guy provided was prompt, friendly, and great.. I 100% disagree with others regarding the kid friendliness of this restaurant, and would fully recommend it as a good family dining option. read more

So the food was great, as usual. Honestly, it's the house salad that bring me back here. I have absolutely no complaints except that I wished I gotten an appetizer but I just can't eat that much. I had stuff shrimp and scallops, he had the prime rib. I did try the spike strawberry lemonade. It was strong and tasty, but the need to with mash that strawberry a bit more or leave it as a whole garnish. It keep getting stuck in my straw. Great meal, comfy booths. I'll be back! read more

Happy hour is great! They have a good selections of drinks from where I always pick a Martini, they have also Oysters and Sushi! both delicious, the perfect combination for chill out after work. There is a very nice patio with it's own bar and live band playing Jazz. The service is good, the Manager is always walking around making sure everyone is happy. My friend and I actually got a free drink because our second order was taking too long; it was appreciated and still we had a good time. read more

Went for dinner the other night and was not impressed with quality of the food. Oysters were not very good, extremely fishy tasting. And its not like I don't know oysters should taste fishy, but I know that this was not the good kind of fishy. My sushi and sashimi wasn't good either. Best part was the wedge salad and bread, but that's not why you come to a place like this. Service was pretty good although I think they should have noticed I didn't eat any of my sushi after one bite and offered either a refund or something else prior to bringing my check. read more

My husband and I dined at Fishbones Friday evening for our anniversary. When we walked in the hostess ask if we were there for happy hour, dinner, or both. I responded with both and she said okay and pointed to the tables. We didn't want to dine in that environment for our anniversary, so we told her no we will just have dinner (no happy hour). She wasn't very friendly, but she seated us. Our waiter came and he was great. We did run completely out of drinks at one point and the manager came over and refilled them for us to ensure our dinner was perfect. As far as the meal, my filet was wonderful. I was disappointed in the Oscar topping but you can't get that perfect every time. My husband enjoyed his prime rib, but said his shrimp was just okay. All and all we enjoyed our experience and most of food at Fishbones. It's definitely a place I would recommend. read more

BE CAREFUL! Server dropped knife on foot at Fishbones, blood gushing out. Zero sympathy and not that it is important but... No discount on tab.. Oh. My. God. It's been a long, long time since I ate as well, and had as great service as I had at FishBones. I'm in town on business, so my associates and I headed to FishBones for dinner. Best meal we've had so far on the trip. Micha was our waitress, and she was pretty spectacular - if the rest of the staff is anything like her, your experience is assured from the moment you step foot in the door. The portions were large, and the selection was fresh and delicious. I had the scallops and stuffed shrimp, and it was a perfect balance of flavors. Dessert, too, was great. Red velvet cake - I ate about half, and my coworkers insisted I bring the rest of it home. The only "wish list" item I have is a more complete mixed drink menu - I wasn't in a martini mood, and that was the main thing on the menu. Oh, and if I could get that cute manager's phone number...he was just adorable. read more

Expensive. The pricing and atmosphere fits the expense account crowd more than anyone else. My friends ordered the Coast-to-Coast oysters for appetizer and they said it was very good. For entree, we tried the orange-glazed duck, a steak and a fish dish. The duck was definitely the best value, clocking at $16 and it's a full duck. While the skin was fatty and tasty, the inside was not cooked enough and some parts felt "raw". The other two dishes were good, but it ends there. We liked them but were not impressed with them, and definitely not worth the price tag. read more

Love love the outside bar area here! They have amazing drinks and also appetizers! The Blue Chips are to die for! Also have had the Fish Dip and that is really good too! It's always a pleasant experience with any Talk of The Town restaurant. Making the reservations to paying the bill, everything was pleasant. Service was impeccable and the server knew every detail of the menu and help me narrow down my selection. The Chilean Sea Bass had amazing flavor and melted like butter. I do wish the Orzo had a little more flavor, but was still good. We were too full from dinner and bread to have dessert, however we will be back for more! read more

Absolutely awful. They were so rude. They told us that we couldn't sit at a table because we wouldn't buy beverages...I will say that they lost a huge tip and some good business but that's not my problem. Will not be going back. I got right up and left. Unless if you just want to pay $4 for your drink and not pay for their overpriced food this is not the place for you. I usually spend over $100 when I come here and have been coming here for years. I'm glad that they lost the business of 6 people over $4 drinks. Great service... read more

I've been here maybe about 4 times in the past year and the service has always been extremely slow and fucking awful. An hour just to get appetizer orders for calamari and shrimp cocktail. Same experience other times I've been here...super slow to get your food order. Something is extremely wrong with management and I think they are understaffed which has been ongoing for over a year. Get the fuck out of lake Mary! You obviously don't know how to operate a simple business model restaurant. read more

I came here for a Valentine's Day dinner. I had a salmon that was absolutely delicious! My husband had chicken and said it was just okay. I would recommend having seafood or a special rather then chicken or steak. You can go to another restaurant for that, FishBones is for nice cocktails and seafood. I would probably not recommend bringing children here. It's a nicer restaurant and it costs a bit more then your average place so leave the kids at home and enjoy a good quality meal! I would come back for a date night or for cocktails. read more

First off, this FishBones has a really nice patio, if you go for cocktails please take a visit to this patio. Dinners here are always good, I've been dissappointed in their fish selection however which always surprises me because of their name sake. Regardless their Dinners are very good, some fish selections have been bland unfortunately, yet they have really good Meat selections for those not interested in Fish. Service - The service here is always excellent, very attentive, and willing to go above and beyond. read more

If you're willing to spend some mullah on a good meal then this is your place to do it. Their service is excellent and their food preceeds it. Their rib eye is deliciously rubbed, encrusted with the grill flavors and perfectly tender. My only advice is their menu has their own key description of what they believe to be steak temperatures ie well, medium, rare etc. Disregard that and go with your own liking. I always order my steaks Medium and by their definition, it would be served more "well". However that isn't ever the case. If you're a martini person, their Gin martinis with their blue cheese stuffed olives are by far my favorite in the US next to the martini capital of San Fran. Also, I'm not generally a cheesecake or key lime pie person, but their desserts here are so delicious and mind blowing, that they're worth saving room for. Ambiance is eclectic and while formal attire isn't required, its a place you'd love to put on a nice cocktail dress or appropriate dining clothes. Try the Leticia wine, it's their own brand Pinot Noir. read more

Best Steak in the city. We go to fish bones at least once a month!

We didn't make it to happy hour...just regular dinner. Service was impeccable. Bethany was over the top in making sure our needs were met and exceeded. The food was tasty. The portions were huge. Most folks took ample portions home. Too full for the good looking (but huge) desserts. We ordered a wide selection of items and everyone said theirs was fabulous. Mixed seafood grill. Ribeye steak. (this was HUGE) Shish kabob. Seafood combo. Fish Bones Bouillabaisse. The ambiance was divine - large gorgeous fish tanks, live acoustical guitar player, great layout and decor inside. I'd like to try the patio w/ heaters sometime - looked cozy. The prices were high. But someone has to pay for all those nice touches. read more

Been here a few times and have always like my food. The starting salad is really good. The steaks are awesome. Last time there, I ordered the pork chops and they were huge and delicious. FishBones is a great hang out in Lake Mary. The food is super fresh and delicious, I always get the Kabobs when I am early enough, they run out because it is so popular so ask your server right when you sit down. I can't even describe how good the bread is that they give you before the meal, it is yummy goodness. The house salad is tossed table side and super fresh. No complaints on anything from the service to the food. Great place! FishBones also has the best Happy Hour service in town.
