We were welcomed upon entrance and given kind, respectful answers to my many questions regarding their seafood. It did smell like live seafood when we walked in. I don't mind the smell due to being raised by seafood foodie parents who eat live fresh seafood weekly. We ordered a crawfish and shrimp combo for $14. We also ordered a crawfish and muzzle combo for my brother. And in addition, we wanted to try the light blue crabs for $20, which was four total blue crabs. These prices included cleaning & cooking the seafood for us. That saves us time and cleaning at home. We brought it home to eat with steamed rice and dipped the seafood in lemon pepper, cocktail sauce, and lime juice. The blue crabs were fresh and full of meat. I would skip the crawfish, mussels, and shrimp for my next seafood feast. The seasonings were perfect.

Fresh, generous portions, tender shrimp, meaty crab, great flavor, and enough sauce left over to dunk a nice hunk of bread into. We ordered 2 combos of the garlic shrimp with crab, corn and potatoes, and the fried whiting with French fries. I should've never tried the whiting because it was fried to perfection and not overly seasoned, so good! Can I possibly eat both meals??? Well I'll try to eat both meals the next time I order. Everyone should try Angler's Choice, you won't be disappointed. Trust me, this will become your go to place!

The service was friendly and informative. If you're a newbie like me, you'll need to order at the counter first, then take a seat at one of the communal tables. They also have outdoor seating as well as a bar. I ordered fried okra and fried shrimp. Everything was hot and freshly prepared. It's been years since I've had fried okra and this side dish did not disappoint! Hubby ordered the fried grouper sandwich and fries. Everything tasty! The food arrived quickly. I'm not 100% positive, but the food seemed to be made from scratch, i.e no pre-frozen items. We enjoyed our meal and can't wait to return. Parking is curbside.

We visited with our dog and were able to sit at one of the couple outdoor tables. Despite this being a counter service restaurant, the service and friendliness were excellent from the owner and staff. Food came out hot and fresh and they continued to check on us throughout the meal. Our party ordered the mahi sandwich, the blackened shrimp caesar, the fried shrimp and the Current salad. Everything was fresh and well done but would highly recommend the fried shrimp. Love that they have that light dusted batter that's 90% shrimp and not too much breading. The salads were also good, though a little heavy on the dressing for our liking. Overall the Current Seafood Bar is a great addition to Sanford for a casual seafood lunch or dinner. I think the pricing fits the portion and quality of food and I will be back.

The tv is playing feed from New Orleans and it's cool! The decor is very Mardi Gras centered. Our food was outstanding. The blackened shrimp appetizer was out of this world. After exploring the fun options, we decided to follow this fun guy's rave review. Boy... that was a giant mistake. We arrived around 2:30 pm so we didn't expect a vibrant crowd but it was pretty dead. We asked about beverages and the lovely server informed us that they were out of almost everything, the drink menu wasn't accurate, and she could just tell us what was on tap. Okay.. that's fine and we picked some reasonable beers. Then it all fell to hell. Hubby asked for the dinner with redfish only to have the server look at him dumbfounded and say she didn't know if they had it. Okay.. I asked for the crab cake appetizer with a side of fries. They have multiple loaded fry options on the menu. They had no fries. None. No redfish either. Hell, pretty sure they didn't have catfish either. We opted out of any entrees and just got the crab cakes (sans fries). Stopped by the ladies potty and it was super stinky, though still manageable. What wasnt manageable were the doors with broken locks and the toilet seats that slid across the bowls when you tried to tinkle. It's pretty when you look toward the sinks. It's vile when you sniff toward the pots. The crab cakes finally arrived and smelled/looked delicious. Alas, looks are wildly deceiving when the chef flips the BLACKened cakes so that you don't see it, but you sure as heck tasted the epic char of loneliness. I don't know what to make of this experience because many have had a lovely meal. They were understaffed (the server was a lovely darling), they were severely under-prepared, and the chef tried to hide an epic fail of a dish by flipping it over. Do I think I others should try it? I actually do. They have had good reviews and this was weird. Will I be back? No, that's very unlikely. I wish them the best but this was a fairly epic fail.

Lighthouse is both a full seafood market and restaurant, giving you that fresh off the boat quality seafood cooked exactly how you like and served right to your table. I had the Blackened Grouper with broccoli and parsley red potatoes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, super juicy and incredibly fresh. The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. The house Caesar dressing was great, lightly dressed so it didn't drown the romaine like some places do, and finished with grated parmesan and crunchy croutons. Overall, this was a great meal. The service was great, the food was excellent, and I would highly recommend checking them out.

Let's start with Morgan because WOW. If customer service had a Hall of Fame, she'd already have a statue out front. She was super nice, fast, on point, and somehow knew what we needed before we did. Shrimp & Grits: one bite and just sat there in silence and awe! Fried Shrimp Basket: Crispy like it just graduated from Crunch University. Not greasy, not heavy, golden perfection. These shrimp had more balance than my checking account and more flavor than most people's personalities. This place didn't just meet expectations--it body-slammed them! Highly recommend.

In town on a work trip, my husband, and I decided to try this place out! What a wonderful surprise! From the moment you walked in the eclectic, industrial, modernized, warm, cozy feel welcomes you in. Our server was friendly and attentive, and we knew right away that this place was a find! A wonderful happy hour menu, led us to a full menu of what felt like a farm to table experience. I sadly didn't get to snap a photo of the excellent appetizer buratta, but it was a perfect blend of balsamic tomato and creamy cheese! I am a true foodie, and this was hands-down the best burger I've ever eaten. My husband absolutely loved his shrimp and grits, perfectly cooked and well balanced flavor. Well, I know everyone recommends the chocolate cake, I can't rave enough about the crème brûlée. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to enjoy a " private chef experience" meal! You will be glad you did!
