Went to check out Fishbone By the lake for a birthday dinner and it was truly a wonderful experience. It's a restaurant that opens during the warm summer months and only an outdoor lovely patio facing a gorgeous lake. As a group, ordered the following: 1) PEI mussels - mussels cooked well with an amazing coconut broth 2) Pull and Tear Bread - super soft, fresh out of the oven with their very own herb garlic buter 3) Wild Argentina Shrimp Tagliatelle - fennel served with fresh shrimp and their handmade white wine cream sauce 4) Roasted Icelandic Cod - super fresh cod paired with Heirloom tomato and caper vierge Everything was truly delicious and was cooked with fresh ingredients. In addition, the service is excellent and impeccable, making it a great dining experience. Would truly recommend to go try this restaurant as it has an amazing atmosphere and one of a kind view, with great food. Go make your reservations (on a sunny day)!

Went to Fishbone by the Lake for Canada Day and it was excellent! The service was extremely friendly, food was amazing and the atmosphere and view by the lake was perfect. We started with the Pull and Tear Bread, Flaming Chourico and Patatas Bravas. The bread was right out of the oven, the chourico was sliced pork (don't touch the pig!), and the patatas bravas was bite sized potatoes in a saffron aioli and brava sauce... all were excellent starters. We then had the Grilled Yellowfin Tuna and the Steak Frites, again cooked to perfection. Overall a great experience, make sure you make reservations... highly recommended.

My visit to Fishbone By The Lake was good, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. The ambiance by the lake was charming, offering a relaxed atmosphere with lovely views, though it could have been a little more lively. The service was friendly, but there were times when it felt like the staff was stretched a bit thin. The food was flavorful and fresh, particularly the seafood, but it didn't quite impress me as much as I expected. It's a decent choice for a meal with a scenic view, but there's room for a bit more refinement.

We lucked out getting a table for their last summer day. The location is quite beautiful and it's a relaxing environment to enjoy some delicious foods. This particular location is all outdoors and only open during the warmer season. We've been to their Aurora location before and loved it. I will say, the pricing is a tad bit high, but the food is really good and it's worth being one of those special occasion dates. I love that the menu isn't huge - meaning they're paying attention to quality over quantity. We ordered brussels to share which I found to be just a tad bit too vinegary for my preference. I had a few bites and left those mostly for my boyfriend to have. The fries were perfect though. The mains actually followed immediately after the starters - pretty quick service considering it was fully booked that night. My boyfriend had the lake burger which was so good. They used brie as the cheese and you just can't go wrong with that. We had an octopus to share, which was absolutely tender and grilled beautifully. It had a lovely flavour. I couldn't enjoy too much of it though because it had quite a bit of oil, but it tasted great. My favourite was the seared ahi tuna though. It comes on a bed of olives, piquillo and beluga lentils which complimented the fish perfectly. I will crave this combination for quite some time to come. Absolutely something I'd recommend to anyone coming to this place next summer. Obviously, we were too stuffed by this point for dessert, but they had some nice options and I noticed other tables really enjoying their sweet treats. If you haven't given this place a try, definitely keep an eye out for opening and make a reservation. It's such a lovely drive, great views, and good food.

4.5/5 We had birthday celebration dinner at Fishbone on Saturday night, it's outdoor patio dining only. Fishbone perches on the side of Musselman's Lake which offers picturesque & spectacular view! The ambience was casual and jolly, every table was enjoying great food & good chat. Servers were professional, friendly and attentive, they were all welcoming with smile on their faces. We ordered Pull & Tear bread, Caeser's salad, Picante pizza, cod fish and chicken skewers, the ingredients were fresh without excessive marinate or processing, the dishes were healthy and delicious. Portion size and price point are very reasonable. The restaurant open for summer months only, we'll for sure be regulars here.

The view of the lake was lovely!! Although it was quite dark during dinner, we could still see the outline of the water and the tree lines. The food was delicious, however, it's quite expensive. The service was good, but a tad slow and our server, Bruno was very friendly.

Be sure to book a reservation in advance! Great spot by the water. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy and chilly, but they gave us blankets and it was still a great experience! It's much cooler in this area so bring a jacket. For the food, the yellowfin tuna and the octopus were highlights. Not pictured is the pull and tear bread but that's also a must-get! Cocktails were also amazing - the spritz and Fishbone sunset were top notch.

I like coming here at least once a year especially during the summer months, sitting out at the patio is a very relaxing experience!

I would have to give an extra star for the absolutely stunning view and the amazing service. I highly recommend making reservations as it is super popular in the summer and several parties were turned away during our meal. For food, we had the burger with fries and the ahi tuna salad. Of the two, I would recommend the salad as it was somehow just tastier. The vinaigrette paired really well with the edamame, greens and crispy chips. The burger unfortunately had all the right ingredients but fell apart after the first bite and wasn't very cohesive. They are famous for their fried brussel sprouts, which we tasted and were good. Will be back for the view, but not sure about the food.

This restaurant is located right beside the Musselman's lake, with a breathtaking view and such a refreshing ,causal vibe. We ordered: 1. Sourdough bread 4/5 2. Sausage 5/5 3. Steak 4/5 4. Tuna salad 4/5 All dishes are beautifully presented, especially like the way they serve the sausage, flamed using oil under the sausage . Service is good and attentive too. Make sure to make reservation in advance as they are quite busy.

Chocolate Mousse

Went here for dinner the past Monday. Started with the Grilled Moroccan Octopus, PEI Mussels, and Picante Pizza to share. The pizza was amazing and it had really nice crust. The mussels were great and the broth was very delicious. As an entree I had the Wild Argentina Shrimp Tagliatelle. The sauce was really good and it came with a great portion of shrimp. For dessert we shared the Chocolate Mousse and Portuguese Tart. Both were amazing, highly recommend. Overall service was amazing, I found the prices a bit on the higher end however I do believe it is worth it for the beautiful lake side ambiance.

Steak and potatoes $48

The restaurant was well decorated and inviting. The staff are friendly, and very knowledgeable. The food however is not something I would really go back for. My partner and I had the garlic tiger shrimp, it was delicious, but we had to order 2 slices of bread on the side, which I think should be included with this appetizer, as you need something to be able to soak up the delicious broth that comes with this dish. The two slices are $2. Next up was the steak, which was $48, came with fancy looking scalloped potatoes that were very buttery, if you like that sort of thing? You would have really enjoyed these potatoes, in addition to 4 sticks of asparagus that were done well. The steak was average, but was not made to our ordered request. My partner requested well done, and I wanted medium rare, both of our steak came to the table medium. We sent one back to be redone, and the second to be settled into the warmer while the steak was being remade, but the second time was also medium well. And I received a completely new plate (which most people would love, but I was ok to eat my steak from the first plate and really wish they just brought that back from the warmer as I asked...). We opted not to have dessert here, and just called it a night. Again the wait staff were lovely, and the restaurant was decorated well. The food is not something we're going to look forward to coming back for.

It's official folks. Right now, this is my gf and I's go-to wing spot in the GTA. If we're craving…read morewings this is where we usually go. I love the fact that they have so many specials to choose from to try and cater to every customer. For us, it's the super deal. That's become somewhat of a thursday ritual for us now every time we visit this place. The waitresses are young but they're very good w/ customers. They always give us dips when we order our wings which is awesome. Being the foodie I am, I've been trying to branch out across the GTA in search of great wings but I'm ALWAYS reminded of the quality of the wings here! It's become nostalgic at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if this joint is literally keeping businesses alive on Main St in Stouffville lol.

Hidden gem in Stouffville!!…read more Craving for wings and wanted to try a new spot. Found this spot online with good review and came with BF on a Sat night. It was not a huge spot and no small table left so we settled for bar seats. We tried 2 lbs of wings. As 2 lbs wings only come with 1 flavor, we ordered two 1 lb wings to try 2 diff flavors. We have chosen wings with bone and one with spicy jerk sauce and the other one was spicy Cajun dry rub. Wings came with veg sticks and dib and no fries. Wings are fresh, crunchy on the outside and very tender on the inside. Both flavors we picked gave us some serious spicy pleasurable kicks. Service was also attentive and relaxed. We will be back for more!
