Pappardelle With Gorgonzola cream sauce and sautéed peppers and sirloin steak strips
Mike I.

Had dinner with friends here for the first time. Service was excellent. Staff were out of this world. Very friendly, personable and warm. Pino, Merva and Tony. There also was one other waiter, can't recall his name who was from Columbia, with a great voice singing happy birthday to people in the restaurant.....they were all GREAT!!!! Food portions were perfect as the food was very tasty and hot. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to have a great evening with great people and phenomenal food without breaking the bank, which tastes great as well. Great work !

My favourite ITALIAN place hands down. "Italian" is capital because it's actually Italian. GREAT FOOD. The chicken (Cornish hen) is amazing. I'm not sure what sauce and spice they use, but it's like how Nonna used to make!!! The server is hilarious, and though he wasn't Italian, he acted it and it was a good time. 5/5

Arugola salad and a grilled radicchio with some Pinot noir. Yum!

Empty your pockets and pay. If money is no object go on in, otherwise be preparo pay $12 a half glass of Pinot noir. Then $15 each of the 2 salads, arugula with pear and the other was grilled radicchio, delicious, always a favourite. We went for an early dinner and were not too hungry, just a stroll and some sight seeing. The service was great, and the patio had an atmosphere to return to!

Linguine Frutti di Mare "al cartoccio"

We wanted to try this Italian restaurant and made reservations through Yelp. Unfortunately Yelp doesn't specify what type of seating is available for reservations and I assumed it was indoor. When we got there, we were seated outside and at noon I could feel the sun burning half of my exposed back. It was so hot that even my IPhone had a notification that I couldn't use it because of high temperature. On top of that, the tables were so close to each other there was no social distancing. Seated with us outside was a group of middle aged ladies who were all so loud, it felt like I was at a farmer's market. Our male servers and the good food were the saving grace. The fresh warm bread was good and We ordered the G rigliata di Pesce to start- this was the only dish that was underwhelming. Though the calamari had a nice texture, the flavour was bland. The tiger shrimps were good and paired well with the spiralized veggies. I ordered the Linguine Frutti di Mare "al cartoccio" - with clams, mussels, tiger shrimp and scallops wrapped in a pastry dough. This came out piping hot as it was baked with the dough and I was expecting the pasta to be mushy- but it was perfect. The tomato white wine sauce had the right amount of acidity, perfect for the crispy pastry to soak into. My boyfriend ordered the meat of the day, Beef tenderloin sandwiched in king oyster mushrooms- this was melt in your mouth goodness. Our server described it really well and we were glad we took his recommendation. Also ordered a Napa Valley red, Trim- very good wine, medium bodied and was perfect with the meal. It would have been a 5 star, had we sat inside in an air conditioned dining area and not having to deal with a partial sunburn on my back Bf made a good decision to order a cold beer. Overall we would be back, too bad we didn't have enough room for dessert. Did I mention I finished the pasta- carbs on carbs?

Belsito Trattoria is located on the east side of Islington Ave just south of Stegman's Mill Road in the town of Kleinburg. The village of Kleinburg is a quaint little place where Islington Ave is their main strip north of Major Mack and south of Nashville Road. While Belsito is their own stand alone building it sort of is the front of a strip mall complex that has their own parking, there is free public parking across the street at the church as well. Belsito Trattoria is an upscale Italian restaurant in the heart of Kleinburg. Kleinburg for being a small place is already an upscale type of strip so the businesses in the area reflect the affluence of the community. That being said it's understandable how a busy, relatively good sized upscale Italian place can thrive in this area especially if they have the staying power to earn their customers repeat visits. We ended up coming to this establishment for my niece's birthday. The menu is made of up a bunch of expected items such as insalata, antipasto etc. We were given bread with oil and balsamic on top of the other starters we had which were calamari, charcutier and focaccia. While my nephews usually order pizza, I had a pasta to start which was the spaghetti con tonno (tuna). The spaghetti was fresh mixed with capers and olives, aglio e oilo, tomato and nice generous cuts of tuna. This dish had a nice garlic flavor to the salty olives and caper combination. To be honest this pasta dish should have been enough and it was because I didn't really have enough room for my main which was the black salted cod with potatoes and rapini in San Marzano tomato sauce. The spaghetti was part of the G'iro Italia menu and this weekend it happened to be for Sicily. That part of the menu seems that it's changed out which makes sense if they're changing the region of Italy they're featuring in their tour of Italy portion of the menu. My wife had gone with one of the specials of the day which happened to be a beef tenderloin on top of polenta. While I can't speak for my wife's dish I really like all the appetizers as well as my pasta and my cod dish. The food here was really well done with a well balanced selection of dishes from start to finish. Even though we were a couple of large tables for our party and the establishment looked to be a full house on a Saturday evening I have to really say that the service here was top notch. The friendliness and speed of service really stood out. I can't say that we've had better service than this in some time. The amount of checking in whether for drinks or whatever was attentive without being intrusive. Having to ask for anything didn't take long to be taken care of either. Having multiple tables we were being looked after by a team rather than just one person as well.

Went here last night to celebrate a birthday & had a great meal. The waiter was friendly and listed the specials of the evening. The menu is concise -- appetizers, pasta/risotto, pizza, mains and dessert. When we placed our order, we received warm bread with olive oil for dipping. We ordered the pan seared salmon which was well portioned and the potato gnocchi which just melted in your mouth (delicious!!). For dessert, we enjoyed a slice of a chocolate torte which we didn't see on the menu (this could be because we were there for a celebration. The tables were well spaced with staff adhering to mask policy & COVID-19 safety protocols. There is parking in front of the restaurant and as well as limited parking in an adjacent parking lot. Overall, a cozy friendly atmosphere with good food.

Top: Homemade Spaghetti, Bottom: Pasta casareccia al forno (baked casareccia pasta with zucchini peppers & mozzarella cheese)

Eating at an authentic Italian restaurant always makes me feel like a bit of a foreigner. For a non-Italian person, the menu always looks like pure gibberish at a glance and you will probably feel a tad out of place compared to the rest of the crowd dining in. Nonetheless, I still love Italian food and usually have a pretty good experience - Belsito Trattoria was no different! The restaurant was beautiful inside and out, located in a small little plaza in Kleinburg, Vaughan. The service was good - our server was attentive and friendly, and food came out fairly quick. As for the food, I had the "fior di latte e pomodori arrostiti" to start, which is described as fior di latte mozzarella, 24 hr. oven roasted San Marzano tomatoes, and peppery arugula salad ($14). This appetizer was just okay in my opinion - nothing too special. I thought the cheese was bland, but the tomatoes were cooked really well. It was however overpriced for the amount of food you get and I probably wouldn't order it again. For my main course, I ordered the pasta casareccia al forno - baked casareccia pasta with roasted green zucchini, charred peppers, caramelized onions San Marzano sugo/asiago, and mozzarella cheese. I really liked this dish! The pasta was made just right, not too hard or too soft and the tomato sauce, cheese, and veggies definitely made everything taste flavourful and delicious. Yum! Overall, this restaurant was a decent choice for an authentic Italian dining experience. It was more of a one time thing for me though, as I did have to travel a bit further than usual to get here. I can see why other people like this place so much (based on other Yelp reviews), but I probably wouldn't return as nothing really "wowed" me. It seems like it'd be a great place for hosting intimate events as well.

Love this place! The service, the food, everything about this restaurant is just right, not easy to find good places to eat quality food in Ontario sometimes. Belsito is one of my top 3

Summary: Service and ambiance is very good. Food is good but not great. We had the calamari and Thai tiger shrimp to start. Maybe 5-6 calamari rings and 2 tiger shrimps grilled nicely topped with a bed of salad in a sweet balsamic vinegrette dressing, likely to make the dish look more full of food. They also provide warm bread with hummus and olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start. We ordered the seafood risotto and spicy calbrese pizza as entrees. Risotto was good but it was more like a paella rather than what I was expecting for risotto. Pizza was thin and crispy but for some reason a bit tough to cut despite them giving me what resembled a steak knife to cut it up with. What I really liked was their chilli oil. If you like spicy, ask for that. It's apparently made in house (what the server told me). Best part of my meal was their chilli oil. Since I was just at Basilico restaurant last week, I can easily compare the risotto and pizza to Basilico's. I would say Basilico had better food. BUT, I enjoyed the service at this restaurant. Wait staff don't seem to be assigned to just "their" tables. They help each other out and just service your table as needed and as they see fit so you don't wait long for service. Also, food comes out way faster here vs Basilico. Within 5 minutes we had our starter and within 15 minutes of ordering we had our entrees (but maybe it's worth the wait at Basilico since the food was more well prepared). Dessert came in 5 minutes of ordering. As for alcoholic drinks, I wouldn't recommend the old fashioned. Missing brown sugar, orange peel, and overall doesn't get close to what a good old fashioned tastes like. TheB-52 coffee was good, though - shot of espresso mixed with Bailey's, Khalua and one other liqueur (escaping my mind at the moment) and topped with whipped cream. For dessert, we had the apple and cranberry crumble topped with ice cream. I wouldn't recommend it. It's OK but too much sauce and not enough crumble and I don't even recall tasting much cranberry. Overall, a good experience and I'd come back since I live in Kleinburg and it's minutes away and located in the Kleinburg Village.

We made a reservation here for 6 of us and their service was excellent. The food was delicious and it was an adorable place. They have good patio space too for a nice day!

Food is amazing, but service is non existent…read more Food 5/5 Service 1/5 Ambiance 4/5 Came with a reso for five adults and got seated promptly. The restaurant got busier throughout the night. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and high ceilings. Service here is little to none. Which is unfortunate since their food is so good. After taking our orders we were never checked on. Asked 2 different servers for extra serveware and never got it. Had to ask more than once to get water. Overall the service is BAD. What saves this place is definitely their food, as it's very delicious. Definitely start with their variety of dips for sharing. Here's what we got: Mix Appetizers 5/5 - Came with hummus, baba ganoush, spicy mashed and haydari. All delicious and served with fresh bread. Mixed Pide 5/5 - This was also great for sharing and tasting the variety of pide options. Came with cheese, minced meat, and sausage. Mix Kebab for 2 5/5 - This was more than enough to share with the five of us, as portions are large, especially when you are ordering other sides. A variety of meats including lamb, chicken, beef served with rice and salad. The meal ends with complimentary tea. Overall, delicious spot with great food but just lacks any type of service. So good that I'd still come back for their food.

The restaurant's modern decor makes it feel elevated, but it's not stuffy or posh inside at all. I've never had Turkish food before, so I can't comment on the authenticity or taste, but I really enjoyed our meal! The pide was like a naan, and it tasted so good with that generous cheese topping and the complimentary yoghurt-based dip. The beef doner was also tasty, and I was not expecting that gigantic pile of meat! Stuffing that beef between the flatbread with some of that yogurt dip, add some pickled red onions, cucumber, & tomato = perfection. Looking forward to my next visit!

Professional and courteous service was provided throughout the meal... Both still (not tap) and sparkling water was served, and even the bottles were sealed! Our group ordered a polenta stick and fried calamari as an appetizer to share. The calamari was fried with minimal flour so you will not feel super heavy, yet it still has a crunch to every bite. The polenta stick was new to me as I have never had polenta before, yet I won't turn down the offer. It was crispy on the outside, and soft inside, adding the marinara sauce gave more flavor to the blend polenta. Both appetizers would have tasted better if a little salt or more flavour was added. I have ordered the "tonnarelli zucca e porcini", aka mushroom pasta with butternut squash puree topped with burrata cheese. The pasta was made in-house and cooked to al dente, it has that doughy and chewy texture hence you could tell it's not the supermarket ones. The puree was light so it counteracted the heaviness of the pasta, yet it was little flavour, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any flavour.

The servers are always checking the table if all is well and checking if your drinking glasses are full. The appetizers (aka the antipasti on their menu) are lovely. One has got to try their Calamari Fritti because the serving is plentiful with a lovely crunch to the batter used. My main which was the $35.00 Pollo seemed very 'piccolo' but was somewhat satisfying to the tastebuds. When we arrived there at around 11:30 AM, parking was plentiful. When we left at 1:30 PM, the parking was full to the point where vehicles were parked illegally. We almost had issues leaving the premises. That is the drawback. The lot isn't that big and this restaurant is very popular in the area.
