This was a fish fry place I would go back for more. I had walleye, cod and crab cakes. This was my first time and the only thing I didn't ask for was lemon pepper on my fish. I don't even know if they have any. The crab cakes were passable. Customer service was good. I order spaghetti pasta but was given regular spaghetti. Next time I will ask for the cold one. The hot spaghetti was a no go. I didn't even try to season it. And lastly I got their homicidal kool-aid and I will get a bigger one next time. read more

I was so lucky to grab their lunch special! I got the wings and shrimp combo and then another wing combo. I also tried their "suicide" kool aid which is all the flavors mixed. It was soooo good! I've been frequenting The Fish Station for many years. You can purchase the fish fresh, or order it - and have them fry it for you. The quality of the food is consistent. I've catered several events through them.......my wedding reception included, and I was never disappointed. Check their menu before you order. They carry a variety of items including, chicken, lobster tails , sides.........fries, onion rings, and other items for purchase. They also have dessert and koolaid for those who are inclined. The fish was good but...I ordered a fish sandwich. Inside the container was about 4 pieces of fish, no bun condiments, lettuce tomato, nothing. How is that a sandwich? I ordered the perch dinner and the Large Shrimp and perch dinner. Both dinners were very good except for i didn't get cocktail sauce for my shrimp. I received hot sauce for my shrimp. I called them and ask them why I didn't get cocktail sauce. He told me cocktail sauce was on request. Shrimp should automatically come with cocktail sauce. I spent 25.00 on this meal and they didn't even give a crap. They don't care about there customers. I couldn't even enjoy my meal. Except I was told I was racist. Been going there for years but they need to more help because tonight the food was garbage

Well, I've been coming here as a loyal customer for about 6 months. I came in and got some fish and fries. When I bit into them they were cold. I was told that I would be compensated with free fries when I came back. It's been three weeks and I have yet to get those free fries. They continue to tell me that the "other manager" is the one who promised it and he's not here. But it seems like the other manager is NEVER HERE!!!! I've been more than patient and have spent a great amount of money. Just honor you word people!!!! This was my last time in here. Remember I am not here to lie to you about a place because I'm scared to give a proper review I keep it real all the time but what I don't like doesn't mean you won't either try it for yourself, different strokes for different folks! I have been in the area for 4 months so today I tried here. I ordered 5 Whole Wings and a small Fried Okra. The wings are good but they put this salty lemon seasoning on them when their done, yeah I knew because he told me before I ordered but I didn't expect it to be salty so I didn't care for that but the wings itself was good not dried out. The wings are not jumbo wings they are normal size ones. The Okra is the frozen kind not freshly made they were crunchy and still delicious. I wanted fried Mushrooms instead but I asked if they were fresh or frozen and they are the frozen kind, I don't eat that kind they are horrible! The inside is clean and of course this is a take out only. They have fresh fish there to buy also but I don't trust Everybody fresh fish so I wouldn't buy it. They have sides like Speghetti, Collard Greans, Stir Frys, things like that and Potato Salad, Mac Salad all these things I can't trust because I don't know how fresh it is or how long it's been around I can't risk getting sick off of food like that my body is sensitive. But those things are available plus a bunch of other sides. They also have frozen drinks and koolaid. I didn't see any fountain drinks but they have bottled water and canned pops. I also saw a glass window with cakes and banana pudding. Not sure if I'll go back, probably not, but at least I can say I tried it. Oh I forgot to add, I feel some of their combos are highly priced for what you get, I also feel 5.00 for 5 regular sized wings is too much also but I had to try it since I live down the street from it. read more

Overpriced. Ordered fried fish. The menu stated the plate came with fries, tarter sauce, and bread. Fries were obviously from a generic frozen bag. Tarter sauce promised was White Castle type plastic packets. Bread was 2 slices of stale wheat from an old grocery store sandwich loaf. Also ordered a side of cole slaw. Paid $2 for a mere 3oz of slop. Fish wasn't horrible, but I couldn't bring myself to eat more than 1 piece. The rest went to the trash. Will never ever order from here again. read more

The food here is reasonably priced cooked very well seasoned just correctly. The seems like he comfort food restaurant where you can go in and get something at a reasonable price fill your belly and make you feel like you're eating at home. I like the atmosphere because you see many people from many different races coming in here ordering all of their food it just makes you feel very comfortable to order food from here. I love the fact that you can see the people back there cooking your food and seeing how your food is being prepared. I love that you can see the fresh fish stir your food is getting cooked fresh. I've eaten here I've had the tilapia the catfish I've had the broccoli I've had the cauliflower I've had the french fries I've had the coleslaw greatly enjoyed my food here this is a place where you see a lot of Truckers coming in here grabbing them huge amounts of food and leaving. People from the neighborhood come here getting food. You see people coming here from the church on Sundays leaving and getting food from here. This seems just like one of those neighborhood places and everybody comes to eat and they've been coming here for years. So I would say this is a definitely a spot you want to come and try the food. read more

We popped into Detroit coming from Columbus, Ohio to surprise my mother. Whenever I come home I make it a priority to get some fresh fish. On our way to my mother's house we spotted a quaint little fish restuarant that had a parking lot overflowing with cars. Coincidentally, my mother had a menu from that same restaurant. Two days in a row we bought cooked fresh fish from The Fish Station. The fish was excellent, the variety of fish was excellent and the price was good. We will be back for more. read more
