Fresh fish. Flounder, shrimp, bass, whiting...
    Linda D.

This place is a hidden gem. Well, not so hidden, but rather unrecognizable. There's no flashy furniture outside and no blinking lights to get your attention as you pass. It was the full parking lot that demanded we stop and check it out. It's more like a fish market, and they cook all their orders to go. People were walking out with multiple orders of deep fried crab like it was free. We ordered fried oysters and an order of fried fish and shrimp. The order was ready in less than ten minutes and it was some of the best fried fish I ever had. We sat outside on the raised up used-to-be gas pump platforms and enjoyed our lunch with the locals. Next time we head to Savannah, the Fish Net will be plugged into the GPS.

Best prices in town for fresh seafood! Will prepared for you. 4/6/2024- have live soft shell crabs.

Off the beaten path seafood market / kitchen. Fried oysters were a bit chewy but the fried okra was good.

Half pound shrimp with Jesus crab

Decided to give this hole in the wall a try. It is not a restaurant but does cook to go seafood. I ordered the half pound shrimp with fries and a Jesus crab while my wife ordered the six oysters and shrimp with fries and a Jesus crab as well. Our shrimp was very fresh with a nice batter ranging from popcorn size to medium. My wife had to help me finish the shrimp since there were so many. Her oysters were cooked perfectly and a nice size and she said the best she has had in town. Both meals were $10.99 so a tremendous bargain. The fries were standard crinkle cut and while cooked fine lacked any spice or flavoring. The Jesus crab was a little small and mushy and too expensive at $2.79. If you are looking for fresh local inexpensive good seafood then this is the place. Their homemade cocktail sauce is delicious!

On my way to Savannah and checked Yelp for a place to stop for a quick bite that wasn't a fast food burger. We stopped at Fishnet for some roadside seafood. It was Friday afternoon and we got there at the right time because they got pretty busy after I ordered. There's a full fresh fish market inside but there's a counter where you can order cooked food to go. There's no tables so don't plan on staying. We ate outside where the gas pumps used to be and then got back on the road. It looks like everyone gets off work and comes here with a six pack in hand to grab a meal. There's empty's everywhere and broken glass etc... they should make sure to clean up the parking area. We honestly wanted just a little something so we split a shrimp and oyster snack. I don't know who snacks like this, but for short money we got a styrofoam container full of delicious fried shrimp, crispy oysters, and crinkle fries. We ordered a jesus crab out of curiosity which was basically deviled crab stuffed back in the shell. I'm more about the seafood than the filler so I'll pass next time and stick with the fish.

3832 Savannah Hwy, Johns Island, SC 29455 This is place served the best fried crabs I have ever had. The prices are great. Don't pass up this place .

Walked in to this seafood market and did not smell a thing. Which let me know that they re pretty clean because if you walk into a market and it smell like fish just turn around. I decided to get some hot food fried fish and shrimp and fish. Price was not bad at all and the food was fresh and delicious. I'm impressed and definitely recommend

Not bad, dirty but normal for the south and a fish house. Prices are good and nice people.

I paired it with slaw and a roasted vegetable medley (extra roasted), which was phenomenal. The next day at lunch, I ordered the Greggah--their lobster roll. Perfectly seasoned cold lobster meat piled into a top-split, buttery roll, finished with a twangy mustard sauce that adds just the right kick, and served with drawn butter. On the side were roasted vegetables (excellent again) and slaw that was crunchy, creamy, and unmistakably Lowcountry in style. I also added the made-in-house, from-scratch crab balls appetizer. Perfection on a plate. Since I was in town working, I returned the following day for lunch and splurged a bit. It was Clam Day Wednesday. I had a dozen steamed clams, a half-pound of steamed shrimp, and a half-dozen Parmesan-style char-grilled oysters on the half shell. The clams were absolutely perfect--sweet, tender, juicy, and ready to be plucked from the shell. The oysters were delicate morsels of pure deliciousness. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, ideal with cocktail sauce. I left extremely satisfied. The restaurant sits on the corner of a shopping center with plenty of parking out front. Inside, you're likely greeted right away. There are tables, booths, and a full bar stocked with all the libations you could want. Be sure to check the chalkboard for daily specials and the current oyster selections. They brew their own tea--no mix, no concentrate. The staff is friendly and attentive.

The fried cod had a strange texture and the shrimp are tiny. Now for the pluses: the scallops were excellent and that with a salad would be my go to. The wings were also a big hit. Best thing about our visit? Our server, Conner. He was on the ball, kind, and attentive. A stellar server!

I love how they fire the shrimp at the last minute, so they don't sit in a heated soup for hours on end, becoming rubber bands. Next, I got the scallops with the saffron risotto. Yum! Girlfriend got the a snapper dish on a butter bean medley. She doesn't like Lima beans (which these actually appeared to be), so she ate around them, but she loved the fish! Service - 5 stars Our waiter was a nice gentleman named Tony. He was very friendly and helpful and timely with his service. Did a good job of helping my girlfriend navigate the wine menu (she's quite picky). They've actually got some aged white wines (Sauvignon blancs) that are quite different than what she normally drinks (she likes New Zealand varieties), so he steered her clear of them. Ambiance - 5 stars I found the interior of the place to be very inviting. Tall ceilings and modern architecture. A little on the loud side (we had a family with young kids nearby), but not bad. They actually have sound absorbing panels mounted on the ceiling, so you can tell they've given this element some thought. Finally, our table had a nice view of the kitchen and, as an avid personal chef, I really appreciate that aspect. Only odd thing (to me, at least) was that they sat us at a table right away (we arrived right at 5pm, which was when they opened), but told us that the bar seating was by reservation only. Odd...but maybe be the Kentucky Derby was coming on later that evening? In summary, I highly recommend this place and we will certainly be coming back!

We started with the Royal Tern oysters, and they absolutely stole the show. Fresh, briny, and perfectly prepared, they were easily one of the best things we ordered all night. If you're visiting for the first time, don't skip them. For our entrees, my husband ordered the whole fish with jalapeño cheddar rice and asparagus. The fish was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor, while the rice added a unique twist to the dish. I went with the swordfish and étouffée, and it was outstanding. The swordfish was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the étouffée added richness without overpowering the fish. It was one of those meals where you find yourself thinking about it long after you've left. We finished with the angel food funfetti cake topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. While it was a fun way to end the meal, it didn't quite live up to the incredible seafood and felt a little forgettable compared to everything else. Service was adequate but not particularly memorable, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, though it lacked some of the warmth and energy we expected. That said, the food alone is reason enough to visit. Between the oysters and the swordfish, Royal Tern proved why it's such a popular seafood destination.
