Nice restaurants with a casual vibe but high quality food. My husband and I booked a dinner reservation here to take advantage of their 2-course £15 menu. The tables are very close to each other but I'm guessing it's part of the casual eatery feel...? We both ordered fish dishes and starters too. My husbands starter was pretty much like tuna salad. He said it tasted good but wasn't too impressed. My starter was small fried fish that reminded me of a similar dish I'd often order while living in japan. That was very tasty. The main courses were more of a hit. The fish were cooked perfectly and were a good portion. For £15 it was excellent to try a restaurant we typically wouldn't. Staff was nice and bathrooms clean. Easy location to get to. I would recommend it!!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Fish Market. It is a great casual place we discovered just wondering down New St. Our appetizers were the octopus (which was my favorite!) and the smoked salmon (also very good). We had the Lemon Sole for our main course which was fantastic, and extremely fresh. Thank goodness we had the last 2 for that day. The desserts were amazing!! I had the Rhubarb mess, definitely order this if you like rhubarb!! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in London!

Fish Market is located down a quiet side street 1 minute from Liverpool St station. It has a large outside seating area, and steps lead up to the main glass fronted seating area. There is a modern rustic feel inside, the inevitable sea side theme is played down and subtle with some cute touches, like the napkins tied up with string. The standard menu is huge and the list of specials was pretty big too. I was spoilt for choice. The wine list has loads of choice too and on Mondays there is an amazing 50% off on bottles of wine. The food was great and the service was excellent. I'll be heading back if I'm in the area.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner with friends that night. Waitress (Russian lady but cannot remember her name) was very friendly and super helpful. Gave us good suggestions & advice on what to order. Wine was served at a correct temperature and food (as the photos show) was pleasing to see and even better to taste.

What a lovely restaurant. It is located down a quiet road. There is a lovely seating area outside with some seaside inspired props fish, netting etc. and just in case it rains whilst you are outside they have massive umbrellas that they can put up to stop the rain from getting you along with some outside heaters. Inside is nicely decorated as well however I feel the noise level of when people re talking is quiet loud inside. I sat outside and yes it rained so the umbrellas were put up and i did not feel a drop of rain then. I ordered bacon and pancakes, beer battered cod and chips and lemon posset from the 3 course fixed menu at £18 which I think is a bargain especially in London. The bacon and pancakes was interesting and nice The beer battered cod was amazing light thin tasting batter, piping hot, very fresh flake apart fish, beautiful mushy creamy peas and nice thin chips (even though chips on luke warm side) Lemon posset creamy, smooth, tangy and looked cool in the blue and white striped cup. I would definitely go back to this restaurant again if I am in the area. If you live in London Deliveroo can deliver from this restaurant to you.

Nice little place that is out of the way from the Liverpool station. I ordered the 2-course pre-fixed dinner. Nice squid appetizer. Steamed cod with broth & clams were ok. Must try other fish next time. Hostess was very accommodating - stored my bags & coat. One thing that they can improve on is to shorten the wait of the 1st & 2nd courses. Overall a good place to get seafood.

For a first time diner at this restaurant, I have to say that service and food quality was amazing for a wonderful evening out. I was meeting up with my best friends who were pescatarians and we needed a restaurant that was close enough to bars and the station for the train home at the same time (5min walk from Liverpool St Station). Fish Market came up and their 2-3 course set meals were amazing deals at £16.50 & £19.50 respectively. We added the seafood platter to start and the freshness and quality of food was amazing. Pair lovely gifts from the sea with a Puligny-Montrachet and our evening turned out superb! Our waiter Ludmilla from Russia was amazing - very attentive and lovely personality and went out of her way to grab us wine menus from their sister restaurant next door. One of the key reasons why I love being back in London - this is the way service should be and I love how we kept the banter going the entire evening - enjoying great food and wine from the English isles. Highly recommended!

When in London…read more... Anytime I visit the UK, one of my must haves is good old fashioned fish and chips. While at my hotel, I searched my trusty Yelp which brought me to Hoxton Fish House. I didn't have to look at the menu at the counter - I simply said "fish and chips" please. I took a seat outside and waited for my delectables to arrive. The time seemed like plank/burpee minutes, but in reality the food came out relatively quick. When I took my first bite / it was mission accomplished. Each bite was all I wanted and more. The fish and chips were fabulous - I ended up unable to finish due to the size of the meal. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and sitting outside was somewhat relaxing. If you're anywhere in the area, I highly recommend this place!

The interior is quaint, very quiet but the staff was friendly. I ordered the tradition Fried Cod with a side of chips. Although it didn't come in a newspaper like my friend and I were told that the best fish and chips came in. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! You may be thinking...what about the tartar? Well, I'm here to tell you that you also get a side of tartar. Order two if you can, it did just the trick to pair along with the fish. The cod was fresh, as well as the chips. Highly recommend that you stop by if you find yourself in the Hoxton neighborhood.

I was a bit scared to get this since i was by myself but let me tell you, it was not heavy as i expected it to be. Just delicious overall and would totally recommend. Chocolate strawberries: I love strawberries and chocolate but definitely think you can find cheaper alternatives anywhere in london. Bread Ahead: my new favorite pastry place. I pretty much got a donut from this place (not this location) everyday because the black currant cheesecake donut was that good. I got the tiramisu and crème brûlée donut which my brother liked and i wish i could've tasted them before they went bad but anyways, I would totally recommend the donuts from here! Their chocolate chips cookies are HUGE and delicious as well. This was probably one of my favorite markets!

I had…read moreread about this restaurant in some top 10 lists for foodies visiting London and was dying to check it out. First, it's not in the busy part of London where you would expect a restaurant of this caliber to be but rather it is in a very blue-collar neighborhood on the south side of London. It is a VERY cozy place with only seven tables but that is how they keep the quality and experience so great. The decor is as if you are on an old fishing ship. Reservations are highly recommended but we got there right when they opened (7pm) and thankfully they let us have a table. After being seated the hostess showed us the days specials and they ranged from fantastic scallops to lobster with every choice as good as the last. My wife and I chose the Chef's Choice 8 course dinner. The dinner comprised of a delicious sardine sandwich followed by a fillet of night perch which was then followed by lobster that melted in your mouth. Then we had a pallet cleanser of a light peach sorbet with a shot of vodka poured over it. The meal resumed with a grilled piece of pork belly (I got the "meat" choice) while my wife had a grilled hallibut (she got the "fish" choice). The next course was a warmed cheese (I believe it was gruyere) in pastry accompanied by a small mixed green salad with aged balsamic. The dessert courses were a delicious crepe with creme bruille filling and the end course was a pear puree along with a chocolate pudding with a hint of mint. We loved this place even though the name sort of threw us off at first. When you hear "The Lobster Pot" I imagine a bunch of seniors getting off a day-tour bus to a casino at a truck stop or something but this experience was far from what I first imagined. I would highly recommend spending some of your tourist dollars here at this restaurant.

A delightfully decorative place complete with seagulls singing sea shanty classics on loop. Terrified but glorious goldfish adorning the cabin window walls, really every maritime detail had been thought of, even staff in cabin costumes, it was as cheesy as the lobster Thermidor. So fun. I loved being bibbed up too, I like knowing things are gonna get messy. The Meli, a melee of seafood; half lobster, sea bass, spicy grilled perch, razor clam (touch over done), squid kebab (could've been flavoured more) but all in a sea of buttery champagne and avruga sauce. No tide could hold me back from wanting to lick my plate or use this as a moisturiser, oh my golly so delicious. It came served with enough perfectly cooked veg that my mother would approve of too. Soft butter, less surprise from the proprietor at our arrival and this place would have had a perfect score. Overall our waitress was lovely and the food was really darn good.
