Fish is very fresh!! Salmon I highly recommend to get. Fish is caught fresh daily! I got the salmon fillet with a baked potato and zucchini , was not a huge fan of the zucchini tasted very wet, and just not much flavor! It's causal ambiance. I do recommend to sit outdoors over indoors! read more

Food is clean and fresh, service is attentive, ambience is relaxing. This restaurant is located in a building with a garage and you get 3 hours of parking. It was confusing at first as you have to install the parking app with your car information and credit card which is a bit of a hassle. So I did all that and was afraid that without validation, you would get charged but the server at the restaurant said not to worry about it. Everything is tasty and fresh. Very impressed with this place and did not have high expectations as it's in a strange shopping center but we were hungry and in the area. Wow the food was really good! I like the food here, despite the astronomical prices. And we've been coming here for a VERY long time. But I've recently had multiple terrible experiences with food delivery. Your food will either be driven around the city before you get it or delayed by an hour before it's even made. The manager is both nice and helpful, but is often not there, and the restaurant is run by well-meaning teenagers who don't know how to help. If a restaurant is going to charge what they charge, you need a more reliable delivery service and a full time manager on site who can intervene when Sauce inevitably fails in their ability to manage delivery problems. read more

Fish Grill is located in a complex on Pico and Beverwil. There is free underground parking in the complex. There is a CVS on there as well. Both are located on the second floor. They are a casual order at the counter type of place. There is some outdoor seating but no umbrellas so wear a hat. They have eat in and take out. Fish grill is a kosher (pareve (no dairy, no meat)) restaurant that specializes in fish. They have both wild and farmed fish. The menu is simple. It features grilled fish you can have by itself with 2 sides. However, you can also get your fish in tacos, a salad, over pasta, or in a wrap. They also have fish and chips and even a fish soup. Since, the last time I have been here (pre-pandemic) I noticed the prices have shot up a lot. For example, the fish tacos I used to order for $12.95 are now $17. I hope they adjust the prices to make eating here more affordable. My tacos were delicious. You have a choice of grilled or crispy. I got the grilled fish. They were delicious and saucy, just the way I like them. They are stuffed with cabbage, tomatoes, and tartar sauce. They give you a side of tartar sauce but I did not need it. The sides I chose were the baked potato and a simple green salad that comes with tomatoes and onions and a choice of honey mustard or caesar dressing. My dining partner had grilled white fish which is wild caught. They had the same sides as me. We both really enjoyed our meals. I had to bring something home for a vegetarian. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find something on the menu as it is a fish based place. However, I am happy to report that the veggie wrap was reported to be delicious. It had tomatoes, lettuce, onions, grilled peppers and sauce. They chose a side of coleslaw and french fries for an extra $2. They loved the fries (they were the thin variety) and they were a bit greasy for me but the person who ordered them liked them. I wish they had the thicker steak fries but that's just my preference. I suggest the baked potato instead. Fish Grill is such a simple concept and yet, it is always consistently good. The cashier had such a bad attitude. I stood there waiting as he finished a phone call. Took a bit but I needed a minute to decide anyways. Then he was off and I politely and immediately ordered salmon and fries, because he seemed impatient. The menu board says you can have two sides with your entree: coleslaw and one other item. He said, "What other side do you want?" Rudely, as if I was bothering him. I was confused, because it didn't say you could choose the two sides, and he talked down to me as if I'm an idiot. After I told him my second choice he ripped the receipt off the machine in disgust and started to throw it down for me to pick up before he regained his common sense. Or, remembered that I'm a human being. I sat down and waited. Maybe that call had been upsetting, but I had nothing to do with it. Blonde woman and her husband walked up after me. I kid you not, his entire visage changed. His voice was soft and accommodating. It was such an enormous shift, I said to myself, "No way my food comes out before theirs." I know I should not care what a random stranger thinks, but his abrasiveness, contrasted with the respect he gave every single person after me, really stung. I always hold off on bad reviews because I don't want to the owner to be able to identify the day and fire someone. And, despite him, the person expediting the food was sweet to me. The only issue is that they miss part of the order often, like a missing coke, or side salad, potato,...it happens more often than it should. We never call to complain because what's the point, we ain't gonna drive for one small item. If you know what you're getting into, this might be a good option! First of all, it's upstairs in a small strip mall on a corner above a bank. I was looking for a place still serving food after 8 PM on a Sunday and this place fit the bill. It's definitely not a fancy sit down for dinner type place, and was more crowded than I was expecting. You order at the counter, get a number, grab some plastic utensils and find a sticky table that definitely needs to get wiped down. Also, no booze :( The girl taking orders at the counter was nice and helped me decide on what I wanted -- I got the Salmon pasta. And she recommended I get it blackened (which can be done in a skillet or on the grill and she recommended the skillet). I went with the plain angel hair pasta, which is pretty much just olive oil and some bits of tomato and maybe some basil. I think you can add some other vegetables if you want. Since I couldn't get any wine I got a pelligrino. It was $20 for the salmon and $2.50 for the drink. It was a BIG piece of fish and the pasta was better than I was expecting. It could have used a side of lemon for a bit of acidity and maybe could have been cooked just a tiny bit less. All in all a pretty good deal for a lot of food. read more

Went to the Pico location today and it's just as good as the one on Beverly which I haven't been to in several years but always enjoyed. Basic menu but executed flawlessly-- fried fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Fish wasn't greasy at all, fries cooked perfectly, slaw was homemade, delicious and not too much mayo. The place is spotlessly clean, the fish is fresh, food presentation is great. It's apparent that care is taken with every order. What I've always enjoyed about this place is that it's abundantly fair. $26 which is a lot for lunch, but I think I got a good deal and left very satisfied. read more

While the food was mediocre and the customer service is subpar what stands out most is the astronomical prices. It has been a couple years since I have been here and their prices have increased almost 40%. $29 for a fish plate and soda. This is not fine dining. Served on paper plates and plastic forks. This is straight up price gouging. I understand inflation and I understand supply chain shortages however this is taking advantage of your customers. I ordered delivery through UberEats and I was so excited given they had awesome reviews. When I received my order I was surprised that they gave two small and thin fish pieces on top of a huge mountain of soggy fries for $20.00 (no Uber eats fees). The worst part was the fish's taste. Shockingly bad and expensive. What really makes me mad is how a restaurant like this takes advantage of people who keep kosher because they don't have a lot of choices for dining out. 1. Expensive. Over $47 for two meals served on paper plates with plastic silverware. 2. Food presentation was completely unappetizing with the fish being served on top of the french fries. This made the fries soggy. 3. Service was crappy. My girlfriend found a hair in her salad and the woman behind the register decided it would be better to argue with me rather than remake the food. 4. I can reheat it if you want" I said reheat fish that's been out for 2 hours? "Yes". I said you're going to make someone sick. He said " the owner wants like that" I said you'd rather a lawsuit for making someone sick than remake fish? He said "yes" some back and forth with the owner took place with the manager and the owner over the phone. The manager said "the owner will make another one but you have to pay again " Then the owner appeared. I explained about the app, the fish and how come we were late. I was met with " it's a loss on our end to remake the fish. You were late didn't let us know." Even if I had called the fish was already made. I had asked for a refund I was refused my offer. The owner said " the best I can offer is a 50% discount" We initially paid $60 for 1 salmon and 1 seabass. According to what was told I'd have to pay double what I paid for or pay $60 on top of the 50% discount! A total of $90! Either I coughed up $120 or $90 for $60 meals I did not get a remake or a refund from this place. Certainly not customer friendly at all.
