I must tell you, I was skeptical that a place in Dacula would be the best fish and chicken place in the entire Metro Atlanta area. But, when I walked in the place I immediately knew why this restaurant is the best, the smell was divine. The place is clean and simple, just good wholesome down home cooking. A Mexican sister who does fresh fish, sides and chicken the way I remember when I was younger. This is a place that would rival after-church chicken and fish. The owner is very kind and wants to make her customers happy. I ate sides and my wife ate the chicken and fish. The food is not greasy and was very flavorful. What an awesome find!! I chose to give this place a try after wanting something different. Anything around me is fast food for the most part and while Fish-Chicken-N-More is not a full-service sit-down restaurant, the food is super affordable and freshly made to order. I tried the catfish and shrimp combo which came with a fountain drink and fries for only $12.29. It was a TON of food!!! The shrimp was my favorite part. The shrimp was tender and I liked the light, crunchy batter they used. This combo came with 2 large fillets of catfish - I could only eat one, I was too full. The service here was also fantastic. The owner was so friendly and you could tell she strived to make sure everything was what you expected. Her and the team there seemed to have a wonderful sense of urgency and an eagerness to please too. You just don't see service like this too often. I read reviews to try the fresh lemonade. It is very delicious and I'm glad I ordered it. They serve it more like an icee but it is clearly fresh squeezed lemon juice and not a powder or concentrated blend. Unassuming gas station adjacent awesomeness! Our food was reaaaaaaallly pokey to be served to us and we were the only people in there for an early lunch at 11. (They open at 10, although I can't imagine ordering fried fishy food that time of the morning!) The various combos and number of pieces, and smalls versus larges, and specials on the marker board versus the laminated menu versus the wall menu above the counter where you order didn't seem to be consistent, so I'm not even sure if we "got" what we ordered or paid accordingly, but I didn't care because once the meals came out ~ tasty! Not quite as good as Atlanta Highway Seafood Market but very good nonetheless! The gal who brought our food exemplified customer service to a wow degree. Genuine warmth, eye contact, extra condiments and napkins, and a little while later, a bonus piece of blackened whiting for me! I subbed zucchini fries for my regular fries and thought they were a little heavy on the breading (looked through the fried batter tube like a telescope, trying to find zucchini) but the whiting was great, and my daughters' chicken tenders (recommended by the guy who took our order over the chicken nuggets) were surprisingly great too. Even if you order 3 plates of food (3 piece catfish, 20 shrimp, fish and shrimp) they give you like 3 tater sauces... you ask for extra they give you 1. I was staying in the Buford area and craving some fish like that of JJ fish, but the nearest one was 40 miles away. I googled chicken and fish and found this jewel. Maria is the owner and she is so sweet and humble. The food is very fresh and fried to perfection. You can tell that she cares about the customer and her business. If I could have left a negative score- I would have. I walked in about 11:35am this morning 10/15/2021. I ordered the chicken & fish combo. I paid $14 and told it would take a few minutes. After waiting for nearly 1 hour I asked what was the problem. Several customers entered just like me ordered and received their food. The man behind the counter said they were busy, my order was next. I asked him what was my order he did not reply because he didn't know. They lost my order and still wanted me to wait until all orders were filled before getting my food. I asked for my money back and their refused. I left before hurting someone. I highly recommend this quaint take out restaurant. The owner here is so friendly and the staff is professional and has a good sense of urgency. I always get the shrimp special which comes with 10 fried shrimp and fries for only $5.99 which is incredible. I also get a side of hushpuppies. The shrimp is excellent. It is always tender and not fishy. I enjoy the batter they use. It is more like a flour based batter and not breadcrumbs.
