Super fresh cod and chips, both freshly fried and very tasty. Excellent welcome from Loris and the friendly staff. Five stars.

I have eaten here three times. Crisp, fresh and lovely, like most of my friends. Try the matzo meal coating.

Lovely little place, excellent food (mostly with fish or sea food, obviously) and very friendly staff.

I see that it's been just 2 years since I last posted a review of this place. And - to my surprise…read morethere don't seem to have been many other reviews since then. Just visited again and I can write without any hesitation that this restaurant remains consistently good. Which is not always the case with eating establishments. one of which fall off in quality, service, value-for-money. My review is of eating-in. The takeaway food quality would be the same. A) Food - still delicious. Fish is very fresh - fried & grilled to perfection. Chips - old-fashioned chunky. Fluffy inside - crisp outside. Very generous portions. Also I discovered why their hummus & taramasalata starters are so good. Handmade in the restaurant. Not supplied by an outside caterer or from a jar. B) Service - terrific. Friendly and prompt. C) Prices - very reasonable. Similar to standard fish & chippies serving rather standard fare. All told this is a superb choice for dining-in. (Tables well spaced apart. And always a quiet ambiance). And great for take-out. They seem to work with all the food delivery applications - so people can order through those. Unfortunately for me I live 6,000 miles away! So a treat only when in London. I'm a very picky type. This place is my top pick in London!

The best fish and chips I ever eaten. Regular customer, never been disappointed. I couldn't believe…read morethis place hasn't visited by any of my fellow Yelpers. This is truly been kept quite by the well heeled locals of Highgate and Dartmouth Park for too long. I would best describe this place as a posh fish shop. Forget any images of greasy, oily, bland fish and chips you may have experienced in the past. This is a whole other level. Firstly, the chips are triple cooked Maris Pipers which is (as all self respecting British connoisseur will know) the best roasting/ frying potato. The fish is locally sourced and would have been swimming around the North Sea no less than two days before. The fish is beer battered in locally brewed Camden Hells larger and it has to be one of the best pieces of batter you can get. It comes in at £11 which is slightly more than you would pay else where but the difference is roughly about £4 but well worth it. They also offer an array of other quality seafood based dishes all of which I haven't tried but on viewing look amazing. If in the N19/NW5 area or a tourist wishing to sample the national British dish at its truly best then defiantly go out of your way to visit. I've attached the menu with prices along with address so guys defiantly check it out if looking for a fish fix. I'll attach some more images when I next go in.

Nevertheless, I LOVE SEAFOOD so I am going to say, from a seafood restaurant perspective, it's definitely a Must try! It has great oysters, mussels, and their fish and chips is definitely light and crispy -heart-! Unfortunately, this place only opens on Wed thru Sunday so make sure you are there on the right days!

This is some of the best Fish and Chips in London, and I don't say that lightly. The fish is super…read morefresh, the chips are perfect mix of crisp and squidgy, the portions are big and the price is right. I'd highly recommend this to anyone in the area. My girlfriend and I find getting a fish each (I'd suggest haddock) and sharing a chips is more than enough for 2. Great for a take away and they even have some seats in the back. They had a refurbishment a few years back, updating their interior, so now it's bright and welcoming. Too many fish and chip places have gone down hill over the years, replaced by other fast food. The true stand outs, like Big Bite, have kept going strong - because they have a dedication to producing a quality product. They know what they do and they do it well. Unlike many plaices (sorry can't help myself), who use frozen fish or do pizza/chicken/burgers alongside their fish, these folks stay true to their roots, focusing on one product and excelling at it. I'd give 5*s if this was a google review, but I try to be a bit more reserved on Yelp. Needless to say I cannot recommend Big Bite enough.

Your chips are yummy in my tummy!…read more The chips are always fresh and plentiful here - the perfect amount of crispiness and mushyness. The fish is good too! Standard chippie prices. The staff are always smiley, friendly and chatty! I will always remember when I came in here with a friend on our way home from a drunken night out in Camden at around 11pm-ish and because they were shortly going to be closing for the night, they gave us all their left over pies and pasties to go with our chips for freeeeeeeeeeeee! :) Yay for free food and service with a smile!
