If you ever thought about wanting to install beautiful and luxurious iron doors, you need to check…read moreout Duomo Iron Doors! Highly recommend them! We started our search last year to replace our outdated, boring and aged wooden front and side doors. We agreed on investing our money into doors that gave a luxury experience but also provide better security. We came to a conclusion to purchase iron doors because they are really heavy and increases our home property value. We found Duomo Iron Doors from Google Maps because we were looking for options close to our residence. Once I reached out, we setup an appointment to visit their model office where they have multiple samples of iron doors that you can see for yourself. The sales representative was very nice, respectful and took as much as we needed to make our decision in customizing the design and choice of glass for our doors. We left satisfied and placed our order for these doors. Custom build iron doors take at least 8 weeks to build in Mexico and another 2 weeks for transportation to allow time for trucking through customs and to the final destination of our home. So they will typically quote a 8-12 week lead time to be on the safe side, since the installation day will depend on your availability as well. It took a couple of days to install both doors that we purchased and installation of the doors came out great! At the end, they provide a final touch-up service to make sure the doors look flawless and working to the best of the ability! We are extremely happy with our beautiful doors and getting ready soon to place an additional order for two more custom doors to our garage and backyard! Look forward to working with them again! Thank you to the Duomo Iron Doors team for a successful job in supplying us with a masterpiece!

Picking a contractor is nerve wracking - are they honest, do they do good work, will they complete…read morethe job timely - to name just a few of the worries. I am very happy with the Deskins Group. They are local and it is important to me to support local businesses. I have used them twice now - small job involving siding and bees (don't ask) last year and a much bigger job involving adding a walk-in shower where only the ever present 1970s wet bar existed, external paint job, new windows (replacing original aluminum), new hot water heater and a couple of smaller items in a 1974 house. Shaun Deskins was knowledgeable, personable, set reasonable expectations and has a knack for hiring crews that are competent, friendly, courteous and hard workers. (He and the his crews had their work cut out for them since there seems to be no 90 degree angles in this house.) And his crew chief - Jesse - is just the best! I work from home and need to be on conference calls at various times during the day and worked with my schedule. He kept me informed when more noisy work needed to occur (like jack hammering, nail guns, cutting out the aluminum windows, etc). Dust was another item that they excelled at keeping out of the rest of the house. And I have dogs and was worried about stray nails, screws, etc. Jesse ensured a big rolling magnet was run around the house frequently so that the dogs couldn't get stupid and eat said metal. I will use them again in a heartbeat.

Shaun Deskins and his team were incredible. Our siding was in terrible shape and they were able to…read moremeet with us right away, explain the process start to finish (including possible additional expenses along the way depending on how bad the damage was behind the rotted siding) and did not try to hard sell us. Shaun also took his time to assess/measure the house, take pictures, and send us a true (and very fair!) quote. His guys were out there that week, were very friendly, and the communication was the best I've ever experienced with any contractor we've had. They listened to what we wanted, explained why any changes to the plan needed to be made BEFORE any work was done, and were extremely thorough. They went above and beyond to make sure our house was done right inclusive of repairs and overall look. Shaun came out multiple times to see how the project was going, and also had his project manager Jesse overseeing anything he couldn't. We really appreciated the dedication Jesse and Shaun displayed, especially making sure that their crew slowed down while replacing the front of our home that had the most damage and character. They replaced and reinforced the bones where it was needed, and took the time to preserve the character of the unique look that the face of our house has. We also loved that there was one crew for siding and a different crew for painting instead of a one stop shop as these are different crafts. Mostly, we love coming home what looks like a brand new house. The professionalism, communication, and care was top knotch. It was wonderful to know that a company that puts the customer and the process first still exists - instead of cutting corners while racing to the finish line and moving onto the next. We cannot recommend them enough, and are so grateful to have worked with the Deskins Group.

We used Texas Star Contractors to install a wrought iron fence with wood insert panels. Our…read moreexperience at first with Texas Star Contractors was positive. They were on time and presented us with a great deal for our fence project. But BEWARE that after construction, they will NOT return your calls or fix any issues that you have with your fence. After one week, several wood panels in the fence fell out and left large openings in the fence (see photos for reference). We contacted them several times with no response. Only after mentioning we were getting ready to write a review on the work they completed, we finally got a response they were coming Saturday to fix the fence. Saturday they were a NO show and would NOT respond to our many texts or calls. We have not been able to get in contact since. Our fence now has wood panels that have fallen out and several of the boards have warped. In addition, the wood panels are not screwed into the wrought iron well and I can foresee having to replace them all in the near future. I can NOT recommend a company that does not take PRIDE in the work they do. We are extremely unhappy and would not recommend Texas Star Contractors.
