I'm 81 and was told by shared fence neighbors that they'd only share cost of Pine on fence portions…read morenot seen on the street. So I had to go along with them, as the company wouldn't do my portion in cedar, instead of pine. I never heard rep say it was a bad choice - shrinks and loses shape. When 1 neighbor had 6 cedar pickets on the portion seen from the street replaced 18 months after installation, I called 22 months after installation and was told I'd have to pay for the Pine repair (a new fence) and that they couldn't just replace the bad pickets. Some of the boards weren't nailed to the posts or cross pieces. The person assigned to installation was never seen at the job site. They did cut my internet wires - I had to arrange that repair. They did want to use my bathroom - one day of that was enough. I really thought that companies in the fence business would want a reputation of service.
