    Wild Berry Lavender French Toast
    Liz L.

A little disappointed. I tried the new spring menu, and honestly... not impressed. The Lavender french toast was pretty, but the flavor was not there? Didn't get much lavender at all. And the baconado was overpowered by sour cream just a little too much. Guess I'll sit this season out and wait for the summer menu!

Stopped in for some breakfast. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress almost instantly was at our table with coffee. I got the mimosa which was good, you get a mini bottle of champagne. I ordered the waffle with bacon and a side of their million dollar potato's. The waffle was delicious, light and fluffy. The bacon was perfect and crispy. The million dollar potato's though just weren't good. I was hoping they'd be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but the majority of my potato's seemed undercooked as they were pretty hard. Super disappointed with these. The cheese sauce on top was okay tasting. My wife got the bowl and she said it was good. Overall I would come back. This is a nice location, clean place inside and good service.

I don't like par cooked potatoes. They need to be cooked all the way through. Service was good. Food needed a little help with seasoning.

The "elevated" breakfast sandwich (minus bacon). It's half mayonnaise, slimy, and gross.

The food is OK, but it is worse every time we get it. I don't think I'll be back. This was the first time in like 6-8 months, after the last underwhelming experience. The elevated breakfast sandwich is anything but elevated. It looked down right disgusting. It did taste OK but nothing compared to how good it was (and looked) the first time I got it a couple years ago. I've stopped ordering the avocado toast, it's also gotten much worse over the years. The avocado portion is tiny now and bland, the toast isn't actually toasted anymore or is soggy by the time I get it, and the portion seems to shrink and shrink. For what it's worth, my husband's power bowl seems pretty consistent. It's much smaller than it used to be, but it looks and tastes about the same. If this review seems harsh, it's because I'm just over it. I've held off rating again, because I hoped the bad meals were an off-day. It's been at least four "bad days" in a row.

Busy place. Nice patio dining available. Bring a jacket always cold (not complaining) inside. See pics for food it was delicious and came out quickly. Great coffee with refill pot on the table. Place is always clean. Servers always tentative to your needs. Go once a month when in town for an appointment.

We came for late brunch and the food was good! The cinnamon rolls had a citrus taste to them, they were good just not for us. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean! We had the sangria and the French toast drink (I think that's what it's called?) all great! We'd come back if we're ever in the area again!

Coming from Orlando, where there's always an hour wait for any brunch restaurant, it was such a relief to come to First Watch in Winter Haven and be seated right away -- and this was on Christmas Eve! First Watch is a chain so, as far as decor goes, it's fairly standard. There was one piece of art on the wall highlighting Winter Haven's famous water-ski pyramid, which i appreciated. Everything looked bright and clean. Service was great! I have no complaints. Our waitress was friendly, quick to offer refills, and check on us. I ordered a Hot Chocolate (very yummy) and my husband ordered a Purple Haze with an Immunity Booster Shot. He can't say if the Booster Shot helped, but the drink definitely tasted good. There's a wide selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options whether you prefer a sweet or savory meal to start your day. I had the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl, which was super filling and tasty. I'd get that any day. We also ordered a plate of the Gingerbread Donut Bites -- they were a little too sweet, but they came out so warm and soft that we couldn't help but eat the whole plate! Overall, I love visiting this First Watch anytime I'm in Winter Haven and I'd always recommend hitting them up for a nice meal anytime.

Oh my goodness!!!!! Best place ever! I know I'm fat but I'm in a weight loss journey and their power breakfast bowl with quinoa and lots of protein was perfect! My partner got a sandwich. The environment felt like a diner mixed with a beef o Brady's lol .The service was amazing I'm telling you if you feel bad about yourself the girls will lift you up the second you walk in! Thank you from the spooky bitxh*

Cool interior and outside eating area. We got bloody Mary's and mimosas. Very attentive wait staff and fast food to table. They have million dollar bacon that is candied bacon and delicious. Food was great. I got the eggs Benedict which was good. My only complaint was the hollandaise was too lemony and not very rich. Overall good spot.

I love eating here. This place is too boujee for my husband. Since I work from home I rarely go out to eat for breakfast unless it the weekend. Since I had a doctor appointment near by I woke early purposely to eat here. I love their juice's, pancake, & egg Benedict. Today I opt for an egg Benedict with coffee. The server was nice and the place was so clean.

I got the butterfly gin drink again and as always, it is 10 out of 10. It isn't too sweet and it packs a punch. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. For our Mains, I got the pear salad, which was great. I didn't add any protein because my younger son got the grilled chicken kids meal with french fries. He only eats half the chicken so I got the other half. My older son got buttered noodles and a side of fries. It was very good as well, he liked the buttered noodles, but stopped halfway through, so I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses another dish next time. He does love the fries. My husband got the chimichurri steak which he should get every single time because it is delicious and my younger son eats a ton of it as well. This time he got the vegetable of the day and mashed potatoes as his sides and enjoyed both. Parking is a breeze because there is a lot of nearby street parking. It is only about 15 minutes away from LEGOLAND, so I highly recommend if you're in the area skip all the chain restaurants and come here instead.

I watched her talk to my friend while her teammates worked around her. Mina was interesting and engaging, which is what my friend was hoping for in a bartender. Mina correctly put our order in (remembering to read our order back to us) she even placed the extra sides of butter next to our order to be packed. We got the butter but the side of mashed potatoes it was intended for never made it in our bag. When we got back to the hotel we were missing mashed potatoes & balsamic dressing for the side salad we paid extra for. Not Minas fault but definitely whomever packaged up our order. Before we left the manager brought out a second kids burger I guess they missed. The food was good but it's really a bummer to get "home" and you don't have everything you paid for. A little girl didn't get her side of mashed potatoes. She'll be fine but what a bummer. I got a strawberry mocktail and it was pretty good.

Sir is host, server, possibly chef, and I'm 90% sure he rotated the earth slightly to speed up our service. Patrick sold me on the Prime Rib sandwich like a seasoned car salesman and I folded immediately. Ross got the loaded smokehouse sandwich because he likes to pretend he makes responsible decisions. The food came out fast and looking disrespectfully good. I blacked out somewhere between bite one and "I should stop." I did not stop. I have no regrets. My diet has filed a missing persons report. And let's circle back to Patrick--this man has the energy of three employees, a double espresso, and unresolved childhood dreams. I want whatever he's having. I would follow him into battle... or at least back for dessert. As The Terminator once said, "I'll be back." Mostly because I found out Patrick works Wednesday-Saturday... and apparently those are now my "nutritional delusion" days. Would 100% trust my GPS to ruin my plans again.

There's a main great room and 2 smaller rooms that have seating as well and ambiance lighting throughout for intimate gatherings. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with necessities. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. I definitely have to update my review from a few years ago as I returned here a couple of times…read morerecently and had a great experience. This place is absolute paradise for my Lego loving child. It's pirate themed and has epic Lego creations. My son loves the area where kids can play with Legos and it's nice for the parents too as it gives them a break. The food is served family style and you get a lot of bang for your buck as you can reorder as many things as you'd like. We chose the Pirate Platter which includes: a delicious salad with apples and pecan and honey bread upfront, then a platter of assorted meats such as brisket, steak, sausage, chicken, and ribs. The brisket is our favorite. It comes with green beans, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. I really wanted to try some of the vegan platter so they brought that out for me at no extra charge. For dessert, we got a pan cookie with ice cream as well as the vegan chocolate fondue with fruits and marsh mallows. All of this unlimited for only $39 per adult and $19 per child with drinks included. Delicious and such a fun dinner experience! Since I stayed at the hotel, I also came here for breakfast as it is included in the stay. Breakfast is the same across all three Legoland hotels. It's also served family style and includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, French toast or pancakes. You can add fruits, yoghurts, cereal, oatmeal at no up charge. And it also includes drinks such as coffee, milks, juices, etc. The staff was very accommodating about letting me take things to go and ordering extra stuff.

She let us pick off both options. We ordered the pirate one which is BBQ choices and we got some of the sea dog options for the seafood side. So sweet. We first got our bread. It was good. Tasted like a yeast bread. Came oiled and with sweet butter. It also came with a salad as well for the table which had cheese, tomatoes onion and greens. The salad dressing was light and sweet. The main food came. It came with ribs, flank steak, pulled pork, brisket, beans, string beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. 3 sauces came with it, regular bbq, mango bbq and mustard. The mango bbq had real mango in it. Now, preface by saying I understand this isn't a 5 star Michelin chef meal and I wasn't expecting much. However, this was actually very good. The steak was very good. Not dry. The brisket was good. The ribs were good not dry. The pulled pork was dry. The salmon was good, The shrimp was good, Sausage was good, the string beans were ok, the macaroni was very heavy but good and the mashed potatoes were good. Overall I was very impressed. Then for dessert came our chocolate chip covered ice cream with heath bar bits. So very fattening.
