Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, they took their time to explain the menu to me and my family and asked us about allergies as well. They were patient with us and when we cashed out they offered us free drinks since it was our first time eating there! I got the 4 base with the crunchy kale caesar and the lemon herb cauli rice, baked almond chicken, parmesan, and coconut sriracha. Healthy food has a bad rep of being not good but this was so good!!! Way better than other fast food joints. The coconut sriracha surprised me but it was delicious! The cookies were a 10/10 as well, they are a must try! We were checked on while eating our meal by the workers who made sure everything was up to standard. I love when people go the extra mile to make sure you have a good experience. Overall, 11/10 dining experience. The ambience was great with good music, clean dining and bathrooms, and pretty decorations. So much better than mcdonald's. All the soda is made with real sugar and even more delicious than the normal stuff! Definitely will be coming back again. read more

Love Fresh Kitchen! It was a happy day hearing one was coming to Lakeland. Their whole idea is serving food more "fresh" and healthy. It does taste like real, whole and yummy food. I always enjoy whatever I end up getting here, and have tried a lot of different combos. It's a big fan favorite at my office, they order FK probably several times a month (at least) for lunch. The one bad thing is the parking situation. This place is almost always crazy busy, because it's good, so the parking is always lacking and never easy to navigate. At Fresh Kitchen your create your bowl my selecting your base, vegetables, protein, and toppings as it's made right in front of you. So you can really customize your bowl anyway you like. Some of my favorite items include the blackened chicken, citrus chicken, salmon, kale slaw, smashed potato cauliflower, sweet potato noodles. I really like the layout and aesthetics of the restaurant. It's always inviting colorful. Staff do their best to keep the line moving. I just wish they would offer other options for vegetables instead of the same vegetables all the time. I can't eat broccoli and the greens beans are tough/hard so I never get them. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms so that really doesn't leave very many vegetable choices for me. I normally double up on the bases in place of the vegetables. Didn't know what it was when it first came to town but man do I love this food. You can mix and match whatever you want to.. you can get with a sauce you can get it without sauce. We mostly get ours to go and pick up in the drive-thru after ordering online. This location is rather small inside but it's very quaint. Been coming here since it opened in 2023. I wanted to love this 3 month old restaurant in Lakeland but it was just okay for me. I reviewed options before going in and still found it a little complex to order/choose. I thought it was going to be a HOT bowl but nothing was hot--it was luke at best. I found it a mishmash of too many different seasonings not joining well in the bowl. The hottest warm item in the dish was the spicy cauliflower rice, smothered by cold sweet potato noodles, broccoli not hot, bbq chicken not hot, kale sauce too much- overwhelming. Glad I tried it, not likely to return. Nice to see them doing a great drive-thru and catering business while I was there. LIKES. concept, freshness, individual items, ingredients posted online, some flavorful choices. Comes in the bowl it will "to go" in if you don't finish. They inform you about add-ons costing prior to adding to your bowl. DISLIKES. 3 item bowl only for kids. No calories stated. 4 item bowl requires 2 bases--either 2 diff rices, a double rice or "hot" rice/cold noodles. They didn't segment the items in the dish for ME to combine, just slopped in. They over did the "sauce"-good flavor-but overwhelmed the dish. Get it on the side so you can control it! Too many items have allergens like sriracha, soy or cumin. Overwhelming salt feel in mouth. Low portion control--don't want a giant carb meal. $11 cheapest meal. Add-ons run cost up. Behind the counter too crowded with staff cheek to cheek, each serving one dish, refilling bowls, etc. One feels stressed in the line wondering if they're keeping orders straight. One weird thing about this location is that mobile orders can only be picked up in the drive through even though the front door says skip the line and order online as if you can grab your food inside. I did the 6 bowl which comes with 2 base, 2 veg, 2 proteins, and 1 sauce. I did the seasonal cali rice, sweet potato noodles, sesame green beans, lemon garlic broccoli, herb grilled steak (premium item), seasonal chicken, and holy kale sauce. BBQ chicken had way too much salt, and sauce on it. Plus over cooked burnt flavor to it. Parmesan cheese is a$.50 add-on. I'm not a fan of the Paleo cookies either. To each their own. I tried Fresh Kitchen in Lakeland FL for the first time. I was extremely disappointed with the food. I ordered the 3 option for about $9. The amount of food I received for the price wouldn't feed a child let alone an adult. Half a cup of rice if that. 5 SMALL pieces of broccoli (which wasn't even cooked and was barely warm) and the upgraded steak which was an additional $3.50. In my opinion the steak was decent but not great, as it was moist but also not flavorful. The drinks were very bland from being watered down. I honestly had to go to another restaurant after leaving here to get additional food as I was still hungry. I will not be back. read more
