Our server, Lilly, was a star! She filled our iced teas and never let us run out. We had breakfast for dinner. My brother Jonathan had Double meat farmers choice. He was very happy with it and he said it was delicious. I had the farmers choice and I really liked it too. The bacon was a tad greasy, but i loved the French toast. My Mom had the chicken noodle soup and legendary turkey sandwich half. She really liked her soup and she is picky about her soup. We had a really nice time. Just loved our server RUE! We all had different breakfast entree's. Rue brought our drinks promptly and was very attentive. Wanda delivered our food and when they forgot the cheese on my daughter's eggs she had them out in a flash! The place was hopping for Sunday Dinner guests. Came here last weekend with my family. Took a second to be seated. Then it took a lot longer for everything else. I don't like being rude about employees, but the server we had was a total ditz. My mom's boyfriend was doing the over the top sarcastic back handed compliments with her the whole time. We put our drink orders in, which took a bit to get back. Then when we were ready to order food, she only put my kids orders in and ran off and started taking other customers orders while we were left in confusion as to why we hadn't been able to place ours at the same time. Also, PLEASE train your servers on what GLUTEN FREE means. I asked her if they had anything that was, and she said, "what's gluten free?" I can't make this up. I ended up ordering a salad with grilled chicken and Italian dressing. My daughter had pancakes with eggs and asked for sausage, but they still gave her bacon. She never came back with the check, so we ended up walking to the front to pay. Probably won't be back for sit down again. My grandmother ordered their food to go for Easter dinner, and I do have to say that what food I was able to eat, was very delicious. It was Turkey, Ham, Mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn. Decided to take a chance here dispute the reviews being so low. My experience wasnt better. Service here is slow and people working here probably are lacking training. Management needs to step up their game. Our server disappeared and left us with empty coffee cups and no water. We were a party of 8 and probably should have had a well trained server OR multiple servers. Restaurant was half empty yet there was a 20 minute wait and once we ordered, food took over 30 minutes to come out. Finally the manager, Wanda, came over and addressed all the issues. Made things right and added a couple banana bread loafs as a goodwill gesture. Fact is, management needs to do a better job training new employees at this location. If I'm in the area, I might give them another chance due to the lack of options in the area. read more

We waited for at least 45 min for our food to come out. There was 1 party of 7 and a couple 2 party tables in the whole place, mind you.... When it came the lemon garlic chicken and steak bites with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli which was my meal, was HORRIBLE. It was not even steak bites, it looked like shredded beef of some sort and tasted oily and bad. The chicken was so small it didn't even look real. I cut it open anyways and it was so rubbery and spongy. My husband got the trio meal with the turkey and gravy and pot roast and ham. He took one bite of the pot roast and said it was horrible, tasted like spongy gelatin something. We immediately got up and told manager we had to go we waited so long for nothing. It wasn't the servers fault either she was super sweet and attentive made sure we stayed stocked on drinks and rolls while we waited and waited. But as we were leaving the manager comes out and I said that kitchen is responsible for all that and she said she was the kitchen. I said you don't have kitchen staff?? She says no just her...... It was a chilly in the back. The vent was cold. Our server Karen was exceptional. Our food was so good. We were a table of five. Our food was served hot and Karen was intentional to ensure we were satisfied with our meal. One person in our party's eggs were not prepared properly unfortunately it couldn't be resolved, however Karen spoke with her manager and they adjusted the bill. Last Sunday we went in after church. The place was as we usually experienced. However, the waitress we got (never had her before) was not attentive at all. She didn't refill our coffees until we had to ASK another waitress to get her to do it. She didn't offer or bring us any jelly for our biscuits. I can see why this place gets only 2 stars. While the food is good the service and overall operational management is severely lacking. We were advised after 24 minutes that it would still be a while because the kitchen "is slammed with online orders". Really? I would think the priority would be to take care of the sitting customers and something that an effective manager is paid to adjust to. Someone at Corporate should be made aware of this. Lucky for the Evans' name, the Assistant Manager came by, heard our gripes and almost immediately made it right. To top things off she cut some of the mistaken items from our bill and threw in a couple of loaves of banana nut bread for good measure and our promise to come back. You know what? If I could I would have given this Bob Evans a rating of 0. We visited the location at 6425 Florida Ave S on 3/21/2021 after church for lunch. Upon arrival we were told it would be a 15 minute wait...close to 45 minutes later, we were informed that it could be at least another 60 minutes or more before we could even be seated. The reason for this was due to the excessive amount of online orders. We were not the only ones that left as there were at least another 12 or more customers that also chose to leave and spend our money somewhere else that understands what good customer service involves. So let's get the picture...you choose to cater to those placing on-line orders and could careless about those who are actually at your restaurant to dine...guess we'll just take our business to one of your competitors. read more

Breakfast for two- pancakes, scrambled eggs and fruit - pancakes were heavy but tasty. The fruit portion was generous but very near to unpalatably bland. Were those eggs powdered? Green and red pepper omelet with provolone, hashbrowns and a biscuit. My omelet and all its ingredients were near tasteless. There wasn't any S&P the table so I got some very nearly empty grinders from the closest table. The salt wouldn't come out because it was too wet and very little of it. The hash browns were crispy but tasteless. There wasn't enough ketchup in the bottle to help but what there was ....was watery.My biscuit was properly salty on top but fell all apart in my hands. I suppose if there had been any jelly in the jelly container it would have been too much of a mess to use it. Waitress forgot the lemon for our water and never refilled our glasses. Forgot the lemon, no salt, pepper or jelly, empty ketchup bottle, cardboard food. No Thank You Bob Evans! The steak was the only thing that was hot. The manager did give us a whole pie to take home. Service was ok not bad nor good. It is Sunday,we arrived 11:45 AM, put in our anme and was told to wait in the car till we call yur cell, should be 30 min, 45 min later we entered the restaurant. We are seated and 15 min before waitress shows up. She sits herself down and takes the order, 30 minutes later she comes back and says she threw our order away, so it never got put in can we order again? Waited for coffe, pepsi and water, needless to say the server, should not be a server. When we left it had been 2 hours since our first trip thru the door. The food was good. The servers and the kitchen were obviously way understaffed. The server compted the coffee & pepsi. My wife told the lady at checkout how bad the service was and she said "too bad you didn't tell me before it was rung up, " Well Bob Evans good bye, never see me again! read more

I have used their delivery a few times without issue but this time they forgot half the order and I had to go up and get it. They threw in a banana bread and I wasn't upset as mistakes happen. My issue now is instead of their house ranch they put that watery and disgusting ranch packet dressing in a container instead of their house ranch, ruining the salad, and the macaroni and cheese had to be thrown away as some ingredient in it has turned sour. I have had 3 excellent services in a row so will update my review adding 2 stars. I ordered a Mushroom Bacon Swiss burger most recently. It was cooked well done but was still very juicy and thick. Unfortunately they were out of mushrooms. I did not mind but one would think they'd double the onions or something. Still enjoyed it. They also subbed cole slaw for the fries. Salad would've been an upcharge. I was checked on frequently. All food coming out looked delicious and I watched the waitresses go out of their way to be friendly, refill drinks, provide preferred seating. My partner and I went to Bob Evans yesterday because let's be honest, they have some bomb sausage gravy. We were seated pretty quickly, and told our waiter would be with us shortly. We waited 10 minutes and got to order our drinks. The waitress who served us our drinks told us our waiter would be with us shortly. Fast forward 45 minutes, and we have yet to be seen. A family of 6 came in after us, got their order taken, and were already eating their meal. Wtf right? At this point we are just dying to get some food, and my partner says he doesn't want to spend money here where the service is crappy. So we get up to leave. He didn't want to pay for the coffee we ordered due to the bad service, but that still doesn't seem the right thing to do. I go to the cashier to pay, and she happens to be the manager on duty. I tell her I'm ready to pay for the drinks, and this lady legit tries to charge me $30 thinking we had even ordered. She was confused and apologized, and was EXTREMELY sorry about what happened. She was unaware this was happening, and told us not to worry about the 2 coffees we ordered. She seemed really empathetic, and while the service was crappy, she at least had a moral compass and insured that we not pay. Now I don't care that it wasn't busy and we still didn't get served, I care about the fact that she did the right thing in that situation, and cared and heard our frustration. By no means am I gonna yell at someone EVER anywhere, she asked us to give them another chance. She wanted to make it right, and prove that her and her team are capable. We agreed we would go back one day, but at this point, screw the sausage gravy, we went to Fat Jacks up the road, and got some Cubans. She single alone made that experience better. I wouldn't give any stars if I could. This location is notorious for omitting items from your order (ordering online for delivery, directly via the Bob Evans website, not a 3rd party). And each time calling to refund missing items, I am told by a manager that their "systems are currently down and they will try to resolve it" They take my phone number and I never get a return call. When I call to follow up, there is always someone new, or who I spoke with is no longer with the company so there is nothing they can do. Food quality and portion sizes have gone downhill as well. I'm an African-American serve this country for 21 years in the military and I'm standing there and no one is telling me to sit down or nothing, I stood there for about 7-10 minutes . Today my family and I went to this awful restaurant for breakfast. When we arrived, we were told that the wait was approximately 15 minutes before we could be seated. Not a problem. That 15 minutes turned into 40 minutes. There was a family of 4 ahead of us. They were called and seated. Minutes later, another family was called. I stated to the hostess that my family was before the other family she had called. She replied "oh I forgot you were ahead of them". Then, another family was called. WE LEFT! I called the restaurant after we left to speak with the manager. She was just as worst as the hostess. She states, "I feel awful she did this to you and your family". As a previous cook for Bob Evans, I was disappointed and shamed to have my food cooked and served the way it was. It was both over cooked and undercooked. Well, I gave them 1 star because that is as low as allowed. Ate breakfast there this morning and had extremely awful service. Food was ok, but not cooked as I ordered. We had to go and get our own refills 2 times and our own condiments. When we were done we had to go find the waiter to get our checks. We will not be back. This was not a one and done. The first time was also a miserable failure on their part. The second chance proved better as we had a great server. Today was the 3rd and last time. What's going on with this location?! My husband and I stopped in the other day for lunch, not only were they out of coleslaw, but the brioche bread for a grilled cheese that he wanted. His grilled cheese was served on regular bread, but the cheese wasn't even melted! As we were sitting there waiting forever for our food, I heard someone from the kitchen, holler out to the wait staff, that there was only 1 chicken pot pie left. This would be a good place for a restaurant to come in! About a week earlier, we walked in and was completely ignored at the hostess stand. We left and went to Dwayne's instead - there are a lot more places to eat now. Not sure we will ever go back to Bob's! UPDATE: 1/2017 - we decided to give this location another chance, sadly to say, it's not any better. The server came to our table dressed in a worn "pleather" outer wear coat and galoshes! The husband ordered eggs and sausage, which is said the sausage links were not served warm. Went to here for dinner and was not disappointed. Haven't been to a Bob Evens since living in NY ten years ago. My area of TX don't have any. Food was superb and our server was great she joked with us and made us feel at home. The banana bread and rolls are to die for and the cinnamon apple Sunday was the perfect topper. I wish I lived closer because I'd come here every week if I lived closer. I read some of the other reviews and don't understand why they complained. When we were there for dinner it was full and everyone got waited on promptly. We had no trouble getting anything we wanted whenever needed. And we had refills on the rolls and sodas constantly. Had this place before and was tasty to me but always carry out. I personally never had any issues. Looks good and I'm sure it will taste good. We will see!!!!!
