    Fiesta Omelet all the way
    Bruce K.

No waiting this Saturday morning for a party of one even though the restaurant was very busy, I took my favorite seat at the low counter on the side. I was almost immediately served and my waitress brought coffee. Awesome. I placed my usual keto order and it took a bit longer than usual because it was so busy. That's not a complaint. Busy is good. My Fiesta Omelet all the way arrived and was fabulous. This is what breakfast should be (when you're not eating waffles or hash browns). Good service, a bit rowdy inside and my counter needed a proper wipe down and disinfecting but hey, this is Waffle House! [Review 16809 overall - 1533 in Florida - 322 of 2022.]

But this cook has time to take a FaceTime call.

Sat there for over 20 minutes and both servers looked right at us multiple times after telling us to sit down anywhere. And no one gave us silverware. No one took our order or anything. Yet they took three other customers orders. Cleaned off two tables. Chatted it up with another customer. And apparently took a call. Bad serves don't go here.

Good breakfast - waffle and sausage patties. Didn't order coffee or juice this time, but most locations are good in that area.

A small cozy diner (dont recommend it for large parties) had a friendly/ family vibe. The eggs were done perfectly and the waffle was soft and sweet, the hash browns were nice and crispy. The meal tasted like a home cooked breakfast. The staff was very attentive and provide quick and efficient service.

The food is always great. The service is hit or miss for me whenever we go. The restaurant is clean depending on time of day you go.

We each had a two egg omelette cooked to perfection and served with a mammoth muffin that was served warm and was delicious. I have the App. and receive notifications about specials. Importantly, the food is worthy of dining out. You could pay more (for less) elsewhere, but why? I find the staff are helpful, and the food is predictably good. It all reflects well on management. I am a fan of the salad bar, which is not something found at many places anymore. The restaurant feels like other chain restaurants, and that should not surprise anyone. There are restaurants that may be more appropriate for upscale events, but for a stress-free night out, this hits about right. Lots of reasons to go and enjoy.

Salmon is great. Steak, well the steak needs work and so do the ribs. Steaks come out unevenly cooked and often undercooked. Ordered the 12 oz ribeye, medium rare - one side was cooked medium well and as I got further in, I got parts that were medium, medium rare, rare, and towards the other side it was practically raw. The meat was also very chewy. If I were running a restaurant and I knew I was serving choice or even select cuts of meat, I would find the best ways to tenderize the meat before they hit the grill. I'd also make sure the cooks were temperature checking each steak with a meat thermometer before serving. There should be no guesswork. It either hits the cook temperature or it stays on the grill.

No thank you (it was fixed) All fried veg options Asked to be steamed, food waitress immediately said no "that's the way he's cooking today" Opted for the salad then 16$ for chicken, shredded lettuce and tomato slices Pork chops over breaded & super fried Steak sandwich was a literally slab of steak on a sub bun, she couldn't even eat it as a sandwich When I asked them to fix bill, she went into kitchen with my card and was in there for much longer than needed to fix a handwritten bill Overall not nice service and disappointing food 60+$ for 3 lunches I get it. It was lunchtime and the parking lot was about 3/4 full...a good sign. Prior to entering the front door, I couldn't help but notice numerous license plates from around the country attached to the ceiling of the entry. We were welcomed by a maritime theme, again, along with numerous license plates tacked up in numerous places on the wall. I immediately noticed a few amateur "ham" radio plates. We were greeted by a friendly hostess. The place was bustling with the sounds of many customers chatting and laughing as we were escorted to our table. She presented us with menus and told us our waitress would be there shortly. After a short while we were welcomed by Madison, a lovely, young "bubbly" waitress. She presented us with their complimentary signature biscuits with cinnamon butter and their delicious coleslaw. We had already reviewed the menu and were eager to try their Alligator Nuggets w/horseradish dipping sauce and an order of Fried Calamari. We gave her that and our drink menu. She would be back shortly for our main menu selections. In the meantime, we sampled those excellent biscuits and cinnamon butter and coleslaw. Both...delicious! My wife and I were both there for their catfish, which was recommended by our friends. I got their blackened catfish sandwich and their criss-cut sweet potato fries. My wife got her catfish sandwich southern fried along with the same sweet potato fries I had ordered. Our friends ordered their mahi-mahi with fries and shrimp and scallops linguine with Alfredo sauce. Madison came back shortly with our appetizers. My wife was the only one of our group that hadn't tried alligator before. She was very surprised, commenting that it tasted like chicken. Ha Ha! Both appetizers were excellent. After a short while, the kitchen staff came out with our main menus. Lovely presentations on all of them, and "first bites" were all well-approved! Madison returned a short while later asking how everything was going. We shared our delight with all the meals. Of course, there was no way any of us could possibly have finished our meals, so Madison came back with plenty of "to-go" boxes. It was a very worthwhile experience for us...and our friends who were delighted we had enjoyed our time there. It will be a definite return visit when we come back. Hats off to Madison and the staff that gave us all a very memorable experience at Catfish Country!

Found this restaurant as a convenient stop enroute. We entered right when they opened and there were already a few tables occupied. We were greeted by friendly Madison, our server, who could not have been cuter or nicer. The meal started out with warm biscuits and cinnamon butter. So good you could just eat these. We each chose a different fish dish from their lunch menu. Since they are named "catfish" country, I decided to get that. My husband ordered the cod. We chose the fish to be fried -- and they were lightly battered pieces and perfectly cooked. Each basket came with two sides. I got green beans and a baked potato. He had collards and cheesy grits. We both loved our fish choices. The only thing that I didn't care for were the green beans -- more like pole beans and peppery southern style (as in mushy). He thought his collards and grits were wonderful. I think we've found a new favorite place to stop mid-state.
