She has a few coolers to display her Cheesecake, but some a completely empty. Now the cheesecake does look good, but we came for the Coffee! We were in the area and found this. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and actually, she made a mean latte. I was quite impressed! New Place for us! FAMILY COFFEE & DRINK ADVENTURE!!! Saw this place one night next to the Hibachi we always go to in Winter Haven, check out my review for Hibachi Express winter haven, Fl. Was super excited to bring my wife here the next day as it was her Birthday and she LOVES COFFEE!!! To keep it short It's a nice place, things are pricey, especially the Cheesecakes and it was just ok in comparison to other Winter Haven Coffee Hot spots - Haven anyone??? We were going to do coffee and cheesecakes for a Birthday Breakfast, but WOW, the cheesecakes were like 8 something a slice and they are small for the price. I don't care how good they are they are not a good Food to Value in my pockets opinion. We were there so we got drinks. 1 medium caramel macchiato for the Wife and it was very caramel sweet, not a good ratio in her opinion. We ordered a cappuccino, quad shot espresso, that I was charged for 2 espressos for instead of 1$ per extra shot like most other places. 2 Teas and it was over 30$. All the drinks could have been better. None of us really enjoyed them. Got the Fam some cake pops for 2.25 each everyone said they liked them. The service was good, only 1 kid working by themselves and it did take time for the drinks to be made. Luckily no one else was there so he was able to focus solely on our order. They were also out of a few different drinks the girls wanted first, so they had to choose a tea that was not really the best. My little one had the frozen hot cocoa and they enjoyed it. All in all we would most likely only stop back for coffee if we were in the area. It is a Sunday and we want coffee out, but not good enough to drive past our go to's for coffee on the other 6 days. The owner has not corrected her address from 7000 to 6013 Cypress Gardens Blvd to coincide with her move a while back. Nor does it have the correct full name "Stone Cabin Coffee & Cheesecake". The hours on the front door say open 7 days, 8 to 8. The two young employees inside said it's now closed Mondays and the hours are less Tuesday through Thursday (10 to 8?) and 10 to 9 Friday and Saturday. Unsure about Sunday. It seems there is a lack of pride or business sense in ownership, to "claim" the business on YELP, but not keep it updated. It seems the lunch service I remember 5 years ago has stopped. There is a long list of syrups but less than half are available in store. One entire case is empty along with two top bins. Chocolate truffles were hidden on the side counter out of view. Didn't know if that meant they weren't good? The whole vibe was like the store was selling out and shutting down. The girls said they had 3 cheesecake vendors. There were at least 8 types of cheesecake in the cooler/case, all $9, but some about half the size of the others. Some looked "old". I went with the freshest made piece-Nutty Buddy white chocolate that had bits of the wafer crumbled on top. There were no cheesecake stuffed apples I'd seen in pictures. On a good note, the cheesecake was creamy and delicious, not overly sweet. The tables were clean and I liked being the only one in the store at noon. The servers said the coffee is their own blend and comes from a roastery in Clermont. My iced latte was far too sweet, not sure if that was the fault of the coffee or the sugar-free vanilla syrup? Because I can get cheesecake closer to home at $6, I'm not likely to make the trek here often if at all. I hope the management steps up and makes this a place people wanted to come--updated name, hours and address for starters. Names on the kinds of cheesecakes so you don't have to ask on each one. HORRIBLE! I used to go here all the time even to the previous location. This location is much more convenient for us since it is closer to home. We used to tell our friends about this place and go on Friday nights to enjoy the atmosphere. They always makes our coffee just the way we like it, and the cheesecakes are very delicious! Why the one star review? My family and I went in the evening not too long ago to get coffee, but the young lady who usually makes our coffee wasn't there. There was a different person and she seemed to be annoyed since she kept giving us an attitude. When she made the coffee it was extremely bitter, and once I mentioned the problem with the coffee to her she became visibly angry and didn't want to help us. I asked for her name and to speak with the manager, but she told me that she was the manager and continued with what she was doing (I think her name was Tabby? I am not sure but I know it started with a T). I am very disappointed because my kids love the cheesecakes from here. To whoever owns this place, please work on your manager's attitude problem! This place is so unfathomably unorganized and unprofessional. I was hired on the spot, worked two shifts, and then even though things were going well I was fired for simply not having prior experience... except they didn't feel like letting me know until two months later when I was wondering why I wasn't getting any shifts. It's been three months since my first shift and I still haven't been paid despite having asked about it over a month ago. I was told they had my check, and then all of a sudden they didn't. Manager is incredibly unprofessional and can't seem to stop 'forgetting' to respond to me or to read my messages. Was told I would know where my check was 'tomorrow' and then had to wait two weeks for any sort of communication. I drove over an hour yesterday to go get some delicious cheesecake. We had fallen in love with the peach cobbler and I wanted to try the chocolate chip cookies topped cheesecake. I waited until I got home to enjoy and boy was I disappointed! First time customer. Was so excited to go. It's September and Christmas music was blaring right when we walked in. I will say it was decorated cute and very clean. I ordered a iced hazelnut latte and it was awful. Tasted like the shots were bitter . My wife got a frozen hot chocolate and said it was good. Then it was either the owner or manager that came in and she didn't speak even though we were the only ones in there. She had on a T-shirt that was like three sizes too small her stomach and her back side were completely hanging out. Very unprofessional. The desert was beautiful on the plate but tasted very dry. I'm not a coffee drinker but my boyfriend is and he really enjoyed the coffee. He stated it was "strong coffee, just the way he likes it". We had a trio of 3 types of cheesecake for $9.99 (good price for three slices, considering other places). We had the Apple Cider (I recommend it), Pecan and chocolate flavor. The place is clean, service was good, and decor was cute. They also sell their coffee beans. long post ahead but absolutely worth the time, please! i was a regular here for a few month when i lived in the area. my partner and i would consistently go here for coffee because of the really personable experience. the owner wasn't presentable, she wore shirts three times too small, her thong was higher than her pants. but for some reason, we wanted to support local businesses, especially during this pandemic, so we chose this place for coffee. plus, she was very kind so we kept coming back... until i got hired. i was looking in the area for a place to work and i figured it would be really cool to go support and work for a local coffee shop, given coffee is my specialty. i was hired to open and run her coffee truck but in the meantime, i worked behind the counter at this location. she scheduled an interview for me and told me i was hired during the interview and that she will get back with me for training, to sign papers, and what not. it took her two weeks to respond to me letting me know when to come in. TWO WEEKS. my friends and family told me to let her go but i really wanted to give her a chance because this seemed like a great opportunity. after weeks of trying to get things in order, i came in and for the week i was there...WOW. i mean, i never even signed papers. i got absolutely no training. all she did was point out the negative things i would do but wouldn't properly train me so i was basically trying to teach myself while she corrected me. it was very frustrating. she would also tell me to wash my hands often (which i made sure to do because i take covid pretty seriously for the safety of customers, honestly) but i only watched her wash her hands once. just one time. she never wore a mask. she came in often touching her phone, being on her phone in front of customers, touching doors, getting in and out of her truck, pulling on her pants, yet only once washed her hands my whole employment there. there was a morning i opened and she didn't arrive until almost an hour after my scheduled time, this was my first time opening. all the tables had cheesecake and coffee on them from the day before and the floor was sticky because no one wiped it down/ moped. her espresso machine was covered in dried milk left overnight, mind you she wouldn't wipe it down when making a hot espresso drink for the current customer. leaving the dried milk to be in the current customer's drink. she would also come in and actively put her hands on/ in the cheesecakes, lick her fingers, and NOT wash her hands. when she came in one day she used a rag (real quick, there are no sanitizer buckets or cleansing wipes for any station which is a health hazard) anyway, she used the rag to clean the bathroom and came in to continue using that same rag for her counters where she cuts her cheesecakes and where she wiped the espresso machine. i was shook. she also had her ingredients in the back lying directly on the floor while the baker was actively using them to make the cheesecakes. in the food and beverage world, everything has to be at least six inches from the ground or it's a health hazard. in this case she has her sugar with other ingredients on the ground, again, while she was scooping and measuring from said ingredients to make the cheesecakes. that's a huge no because of the germs. moving on to her coffees - when she makes a "fresh cup of coffee" she literally just runs water through the same grinned coffee until the cup is full. that, my friends, is what we call "dirty water." when you run coffee through an espresso machine, it extracts differently than a regular pot of coffee due to the way its made. you can not do that. that is just bitter, dead shots and is nothing like a fresh cup of coffee. she also would just rinse and/or wipe down with a dry napkin and not thoroughly wash her utensils. so if anyone has an allergy, that's one way of getting an allergic reaction. in conclusion, thank you for reading my long post. i just wanted to give you guys an insider on what is actually happening here and if you could, please stray away and find somewhere else to get a real, delicious cup of coffee. the owner, jenny, is not a good person. she was very stand off-ish and passive aggressive towards me when i worked there. she gossiped with her baker about my flaws which made me feel stupid when i didn't know how she liked to do things and she wouldn't train me on them properly. it was just a zero star experience which is unfortunate. read more

If you are looking for a great coffee shop, This place is a gem! We ordered 4 different slices of cheesecake, the reeses cup (my personal fav), original, New York , and oreo. All were delicious and you could tell freshly made. I would say I liked it better then cheesecake factory, it was creamier and tasted more fresh. My son got an ice coffee and said it was very good as well. The young lady that waited on us was very sweet and helpful, and I always love supporting a local business. Small place but cute decor. Small selection of cheesecakes nothing similar to Cheesecake Factory which was disappointing. I selected 3 pieces and the amount was $27.00. Had there have been prices posted I probably would have only tried one as I thought that was a bit much. After trying I don't think I'll go back. In addition to the small selection and outrageous price the cheesecake was rather dry as if it had been sitting in the case way to long. I did not try the coffee and found the menu boards difficult to read. There were no prices posted. I'd rather make the drive to the Cheesecake Factory next time. read more

So, we were walking by and headed to grab a pizza. Never being here before, we thought it may be a good place to grab dessert, and we were out of whole bean coffee at home, so we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone. Picture crickets chirping.....So after asking her what she found out, she explained that whomever she asked didn't know, but we were in luck, because the "big boss" was there sitting at a table. Wow, I'm not feeling lucky? After 2nd person returns from speaking to "the big boss", she confirms they will sell some for 12.99 a bag. Phew! Ok, I'll take some please. While said associate is supposedly getting my coffee, the first "helper" tries on selling us some desserts. Then she says, "I'm sure you found us on facebook, everybody does"! No, I didn't. It's apparent to me now that this place is full of millenials. The type of young people that have zero clue about anything in life, except social media. Ughhhh. So, after I tried to explain I was walking by, I chose the pumpkin spice cheesecake. Told her twice it was to go, but it didn't take. Now we have two slices of cheesecake and a bag of coffee totaled up. $29+? Really? 12.99 for coffee and I think about $15 for 2 pieces of cheesecake. Not 1 whole cheesecake. 2 pieces. Ok, I'm ready to end this experience. Then I see the "big boss" in the corner talking with other patrons. She was asked if this was a franchise? She proudly exclaimed, "nope, it's all my idea"! I laughed and thought to myself, poor service, untrained staff and high prices were all your idea? Great stuff.....said no one ever. So back to the task at hand. Crickets again. Ummm, do you have my coffee? No. She's putting it in a bag. Yes, this bagging of the coffee has been going on the entire time. I actually at this point sat down. I knew this 5 minute stop was turning into 20 minutes due to incompetence. 2 employees, 1 bag of coffee and they couldn't even figure out how to seal the bag of coffee between the 2 of them. Apparently, Facebook didn't have instructions for that? By the way, the open bag of coffee was only 11ozs. When I asked for a receipt, so I could remember this monumental occasion, guess what? Yep, can't do it? Why? Um, er, oh, I think our printer is broken, but we can text it to you. I just laughed. Of course you can! Nevermind. Overall, a poor experience and I won't return. With prices and service like that, I'm guessing that I couldn't return in the near future, even if I wanted to. By the way, the cheesecake was just OK. read more
