We both got one of the seasonal caramel drinks (old man Marley?). I got the hot and she got the cold. The hot was decent, no real complaint but I'd go elsewhere honestly. My wife got the cold version and something about it was off, especially towards the bottom it had like a bologna or something taste. She told me to taste it without telling me what she thought but we both came to the same conclusion. No clue what it could've been but it was awful. Probably my favorite thing about this place is that they really committed to a theme. Seeing as it is the holidays, there was a very clear home alone theme from the drink names to the decorations inside which I really appreciated. The service was mid, as the barista seemed bored and not overly friendly. We tried to ask a question about the surrounding area and our barista acted like she didn't understand what we were asking, whatever. The coffee was good, although the roast was much brighter than my preference. The double chocolate chip muffin was delicious and not overly sweet overall, I would definitely come back and try it again! There is limited seating inside but also seating available outside street parking is limited so if you don't like dealing with that, this may not be the place for you. read more

Great ambiance and delicious drinks. Haven Coffee Roasters are a local award winning cafe that have amazing seasonal drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, currently decorated with all things Home Alone. I ordered the "Merry Christmas ya filthy animal" with oat milk. It's a gingerbread chai latte. The best way to describe it is drinking a Biscoff cookie. The gingerbread flavor is a perfect mixture with the chai spices. At the drink station, they have a mug with individual Biscoff cookies. This place is not what you would expect to find in an area known for warm weather, Super friendly staff. Atmosphere is very calm, relaxing and is just as amazing as the coffee. Very relaxing atmosphere. First Responder friendly and very reasonable prices. The barista we had here was AWESOME.! They offer a wide range of sections of different flavors and coffee.I went with a traditional Latte 20 oz. My wife tried the Yama Cold Brew with a shot of Oat milk. They have a good election of sugar free syrups. We were luck Salty Paul's Cookie Creation had a pop up when we were there. It was great. I love coming here, and the themed menu of the month usually gives me lots of options to consider. My "usual" here is the lavender latte, I love the good balance of flavors. Today when I went, they are getting a mural painted on the side, which will definitely help me remember where to turn for the parking lot a little easier (I'm usually trying to find the correct intersection and typically forget the lot is an option, so I park on the street!). The one flaw I had was in trying to get some coffee beans for my father, as he enjoys trying various small local roasts in his travels, but the coffee from here was so darkly roasted it tasted burnt- almost at the same level as the corporate stars place. I've seen that they have won awards for their coffee, so perhaps we'll try again at some point, but was disappointed when we brewed what we had gotten at home. read more

The thick, velvety foam on top--like a perfect lather in a traditional hot shave. The latte itself was smooth, balanced, and leaned on the sweeter side, but never too much--like a fade that blends just right. I enjoyed my drink outside, sat at one of their tables, and watched the world go by--a peaceful way to start the morning. I'm giving Haven Coffee Roasters 4 stars. It's a lovely local shop, a refreshing alternative to the Starbucks default. While the atmosphere was nice, it lacked a little something to make it truly memorable. While this was a cute coffee shop and I really loved the unique coffee bean flavors. I mean HAVEN IPA!!! I'm not an alchy. I promise. Haha. The 80s vibe and the unique coffee beans were very appealing. I ordered the Marshmallow Puft Latte. While the coffee was good, it wasn't anything special. I was expecting it to be as unique as the beans but it was mediocre. I really liked that they had a few 80s style suckers promoting the coffee shop. The half bag of coffee beans were $15 bucks. I can usually get that a big, full bag from other coffee roasters for that price but I decided to get it since the bean flavors weren't your usual generic flavors like they usually are when coming from a certain country. read more

We visited Haven Coffee Roasters on Saturday, March 16th for our first time after seeing a post onInstagram and then looking at Yelp reviews. We ordered a Cinnamon Roll, a Chocolate Muffin, iced Latte with honey and cinnamon and a Lucky Charms Latte that was made using a house made cereal syrup and lucky charm marshmallows on top. We enjoyed everything and would order all of these items again. The drinks were smooth as the espresso beans are roasted just right. The baked items were flavorful and tasty. The cinnamon roll had a nice amount of cinnamon throughout and the icing wasn't too sweet. The chocolate muffin was super moist and just right. The staff were all nice, friendly and personable. The dining areas are indoor and outdoor and had a decent amount of seating. They had live entertainment that was just wrapping up when we arrived. Prices are good as the medium iced latte was $5. They roast the coffee/espresso beans on site and you can buy beans to take home. We recommend Haven Coffee Roasters located in downtown Winter Haven just a couple of blocks away from the park where they host a Saturday morning farmers and craft market. read more

They have all the makings of a spectacular coffee establishment- cute location in a quaint downtown, live music, comfy sitting space, very busy, smells delicious, staff is super friendly, awards galore, a MAJOR buzz all over about how good this place is... We went in on a busy Saturday morning, line was long, but the staff was a well oiled machine and we got our order taken and lattes pronto! We also bought 2 bags of beans- the price for their blends was pretty steep- we paid $25 for about 6oz of their prized RY-JO blend-- but figured the splurge was worth it, since it WAS awarded the Golden Bean! We also got a 12oz bag of Haven Blend, what I thought would be a more day-to-day taste. The lattes... not great. We got the Birthday Cake latte and the Luck of the Irish latte. Neither one really tasted like anything. You could not tell them apart. Both tasted like watered down coffee with some milk and about a tsp of sugar. It was really disappointing after we heard so much good stuff about the coffee here! I am not one to waste money, so we drank the lattes. The best part of the lucky latte was the lucky charms marshmallows floating on top. The worst part was the chalky candy hearts that engulfed the last swallow of my birthday cake latte If I could give recommendations- use STRONG coffee or espresso for lattes. Marshmallows may be good- but no large, chalky candies. The whole bean coffees- I had higher hopes for, because I knew I could adjust them at home and make them stronger (I like a bold, flavorful coffee). RY-JO was crazy- it really did taste like strawberry- not a flavor that I would want all the time, which was probably the reason for the small bags. The Haven blend was decent. I made it strong. I purchased $170 in coffee on Nov. 1st as gifts and reached out on Nov. 12th asking for shipping info. On the 13th I received a message saying that they were going to ship the coffee the next day. I emailed again on the 20th because it still wasn't shipped, no response. Emailed again on the 22nd, asking for even a partial delivery or the option to change to an in stock flavor, no response. For those not aware, this means Haven Coffee Roasters has publicly proclaimed themselves to be a place where those who don't share their political and religious values are not welcome. I bought two bags of coffee beans, the barista was perfectly pleasant, here's my honest review of them after dialing in the best cup I could at home: Ethiopia: Smells great. Sour fruit up front, though not unpleasant. White chocolate underneath with an earthiness throughout. Roast is very light. Balanced and nice, but kind of weak flavors overall. 6/10 Columbia: Difficult to rate, has a really nice mellow roast with a good depth of flavor. However, it's hard to get rid of an up-front sourness that isn't pleasant like it is in the Haven Ethiopia. When I brew in a way that minimizes the sourness, it ends up being a very weak cup indeed. 4/10 read more

Wife found this spot online and saw the good reviews so we decided to drop by. I had the vanilla cinnamon latte with whipped cream, really nice flavor. The modern rustic look reminds me of the Brooklyn Modern from back home in NYC :). The service was prompt. There's decent seating to read and do alittle work as you sip on your coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed, but I figured out their little secret (Kim Walker, Chandler Moore, etc.) the initiated will understand ;). Recommend a visit. read more

A winter haven must try if you love coffee! My favorite is the iced caramel latte! However, my mom swears by their lavender latte! I've never waited more than 5 minutes to get my coffee and they are always so sweet! There is plenty of outdoor or indoor seating! We happen to stumble across this place while traveling through town and it was such a pleasent surprise! I had a latte with lavender in it which was the perfect amount of sweetness, the lavender came through without being over powering.
