This is by far the very best resturant I've ever been to in a long long time. If I could I would give this place a 10 star rating. In my opinion this place is better than dennys, Kelly's, busy bee, McDonald's, Whataburger, jack in the box, burger king, etc. The staff is always outstanding and friendly. We were out of town looking for a breakfast place and chose First Watch due to its location. We food was great. My wife loves trying different French toast recipes when we go out. I went thrice and rate First Watch 3 stars for ambiance and service. I went during off hours so nobody was busy. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food seems healthy but really isn't. I had a single carrot pancake and there were, literally, a few shavings of carrot in otherwise plain batter. A side salad I ordered was DRENCHED in dressing. I wish I took a photo because it was a world record. I had a half sandwich that was full of butter and cheese. The tomato soup was way too rich. For a place that has quinoa and organic everything I really expected truly healthy food. Look at the calorie count on everything... it's like 50% of your daily recommended calories. In summary, the ingredients were good. The prepared food was too rich and nothing special in their flavors. This is our third time at the Bay Area Blvd location. LeagueCity is OBVIOUSLY managed well. I asked for unsweetened tea and got sweet. Not good if you are diabetic. Then the waitress left the sweet tea on the table the entire time we were there. The waffle was gummy and not crisp so we sent it back. The next was barely brown and not any better. A waffle is meant to be crisped a little more than a pancake so it doesn't get mushy. Asked for butter. I got butter that was watered down. No flavor. They said it was "whipped butter" like in all my years I didn't know what whipped butter was. It was not soft from being melted it was watered down. NASTY!!!! My husband ordered the braised short Benedict. There is a picture as you walk in advertising it. He had 1 thin slice of meat. Nothing like it was advertised. Someone is not paying attention or they have customers who have never eaten decently prepared food and have no problem being ripped off. read more

This restaurant is a great addition to Friendswood. Although, it does replace one of the best restaurants (Egg an I). The food was a nice blend of lunch and breakfast. The set was a great, it made you feel like your at a family farm restaurant. Services was excellent. Finally the location, it's in a nice space next to some work places. I never leave bad reviews, as I have also worked in food service, but after bringing my family here today I have to complain about the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Our waiter (Sebastian I believe) was less than pleased or nice about having to serve us. It took 45 minutes to get our lunch, after watching a huge family who arrived much later be served before us, and every single thing was cold. We had also ordered a soup, and he brought us some random soup that wasn't on the menu instead of the one we had ordered without even asking us. We had also had a spilled drink, and he did not even bring us napkins before we we're already leaving, of course after we had already had to wave another server down to even get our check. We LOVE first watch, and always have such peppy and quick servers. It was an extremely slow day, so I don't understand the problems with our meal, but it will be a long time before we will be returning here again. read more

We decided we would try one more time to call in to this location as the last time, we didn't get what we ordered. I ordered the steel cut oatmeal that I have had before and was very good. Just as before, the same thing happened. The oatmeal was accompanied by fruit and muffin, but did not have any of the side of brown sugar or milk. What we have is a lump of steel cut oats with pecans that were laying all over the bag that it came in because the lid popped off. This is it for me! How miserable to expect a nice Sunday morning breakfast and your husband is running to the store to get brown sugar. Not good! read more

Tried going to 2 other places for Sunday brunch before trying this one. The other 2 had no safety measures in place for COVID although yelp reviews had claims that they did. This place went above and beyond. Paper menus, separate booths, tables that had enough space between them to enforce social distancing, the wait staff all had masks. And the food was delicious! Our table had the lemon ricotta pancakes, a frittata and a burrito. The waiter was very attentive and it was a lovely experience. Highly recommend. read more

Came in for breakfast, this place was clean and had friendly staff. I was happy so far. My waiter was very attentive which is a plus. I ordered the biscuit and turkey gravy with eggs and a side of seasoned potatoes. The eggs were also good, nice and fluffy. I did have coffee and it was also very good and I liked the creamer choices. When the disappointed that food was not hot when it came out, it was lukewarm. I like hot with steam coming from the plate. The biscuit and gravy was not what I was expecting. The gravy was bland and cold but on the up side the biscuit was good. The seasoned potatoes were burned and lukewarm. The waiter did offer for another side after I told him they were burned. He offered for them to make another seasoned potatoes. I opted for fruit which was good and fresh. I definitely enjoyed the fruit. I might have came on a bad day everyone has one of those, so I will come again and order different items. When my husband and I first walked in no one, of the three employees who were at the desk talking and leaning on the counter, greeted us. We waited a bit and then I finally asked if we just go sit or do we wait for someone? They looked annoyed that I asked and grabbed the menus and told us to follow them. We had three different waiters then come ask what we would like to drink. The appetizer, mixed berry toast, was very yummy. Then our waiter brought us the wrong order that he thought we ordered frittatas not eggs Benedict. The service was not all that great the food was okay a bit messy looking and dry but was seasoned well. Multiple people came asking if we ordered different things. We had a very unfortunate experience here today. It was busy, so after we gave the hostess our name, we waited outside (along with many other parties). A customer had to come outside and announce to those of us out there that the hostess was just calling names and not checking outside. So we went in and asked if our name was called. Apparently it ha been . Luckily we got sat shortly afterward. Menus thrown on the table. Like I said, it was very busy and took about 5-7 min to get greeted, which is to be expected. Our waitress was the only redeeming part of the experience; she was very kind and attentive (Romy). However, our appetizer never came, food was delivered all at different times, etc. The chicken salad melt was $10 for LITERALLY 1 piece of toast with some chicken salad and unmelted cheese. They "rectified" that by giving us another piece of toast. Dressed greens had no dressing... etc. At this point if you're still reading this, save yourself some time and head over to Whiskey Cake or Snooze AM. When we first got here we saw two host at the host stand. Both doing nothing when there was clearly tables that needed cleaning. Our waiter came by to ask us what we wanted to drink. 10 minuets later they brought us a glass of water with no cups to serve the water in.
