I came in today for lunch and place an order to go. I ordered the avocado toast, with a side of toast, and a side of over easy eggs. Everything was cooked to perfection! I only added a bit of pepper to my eggs. The staff is so friendly and the entire process was smooth! You find your name if your bag is out, pay and you're all set. You can pay over the phone too so you can just come in and grand and go! I order here often and usually my order is ready within fifteen minutes! read more

I ordered The Trifecta and it was wonderful. My poached eggs were perfectly prepared, the Belgian waffle was fluffy and warm, the bacon was crisp, and my grapefruit juice glorious. Topping everything off was my server, Shenese, who is not only knowledgeable of all menu items, but was just the right amount of chipper for early in the morning. It was kind of nice to hear groups at tables, laughing and joking with each other. This is the first of many great meals for me at this location. read more

This is a small chain, but you wouldn't know it. It has a lot of bustling vibey charm and efficiency that makes it feel like a well run, well cared for local owner on site venture. Menu had tons of variety without being intimidatingly voluminous. All 4 of us ordered very different dishes - all 4 were served up at the same time, all 4 were perfectly cooked and delicious. I saw the same happening at all the tables around me. This place had a line out the door (use their online wait list, we walked right in using ours). The waitstaff were on the move but in a quick efficient, polite fashion, not a harried dash. We never had a dry glass on our table, things were served and cleared promptly. I was greeted with the best ENTHUSIASTIC "I missed you friendship tone" at the newly opened First Watch CWE location. Manager, Zack (live that name) gave me some information regarding the layout of the restaurant. This is the 12th Missouri location and will have up to 44 tables including the bar. Hydraulic windows and an outdoor order window, 2-outdoor patio areas will make this THE PLACE to be seen at in the neighborhood. Remember, this is a breakfast and lunch spot! I see it as a nice substitute since we lost Kopperman's Jewish New York style delicatessen (ahhh, breakfast memories). The To-Go area is set and ready for the many orders it will definitely receive! Tip: my faves are the Millionare bacon, pancakes (1- feeds a hungry belly... 2 is overkill), all of the salads are great and I'm a juice fanatic so definitely try their specialty juices!!!! PARKING The buzzzzzz on this First Watch location is hottt! Parking will be atrocious but is perfect for those in the area. Street parking. Their are public parking garages in the area (next door in the Chicken 'n Cone building & the Laclede Garage). Beautiful days and warmer weather are coming!! read more

I hadn't been to this location yet, but have had good experiences are the other St. Louis locations. We joined the waitlist online and there didn't seem to be a long wait - 5 to 10 minutes. When we got there it was pretty packed and a lot of people were crowded around the door. We squeezed our way to the host stand and got seated immediately. It was definitely a busy day. Our waitress brought over waters, coffee, and menus and then we promptly ordered. I have some food allergies that First Watch is always pretty good about, but this location was subpar. When I ordered it all seemed ok, but when I got my food it wasn't correct. After our food was brought to the table, I quickly noticed there was cheese when I specifically said no cheese. Our waitress didn't come to our table to check in, but another employee saw my confusion and quickly asked what the issue was. She was super kind and took my meal to get it resolved. Unfortunately she also took my utensils and no one ever came by for me to ask for another set. My husband started eating his food because I didn't want it to get cold, but it was already cold. My meal came back, properly, and I asked our waitress for utensils. She never came back, so I ended up grabbing one off the bar area. We finished our meal and got the bill. It sounded like the table next to us was also experiencing some frustrations - no utensils and cold food as well. We had to squeeze our way through the crowd to pay and the employee asked me how our experience was and I said "not great" and he said nothing else to me. read more

More rustic I think is the correct phrasing. This is super busy on weekends so I would definitely plan on at least a 30min+ wait and if they take reservations, do it. It's very busy in here, so it's not at all quiet so prepare for that. My pancakes were magnificent though not my all time favorite but they're in the top 10. read more

We're been to other First Watch restaurants, but not this one. We called ahead and when we arrived, were seated pretty quickly. Our server seemed inexperienced but earnest. My dining partner ordered a Bloody Mary but had to ask where the bacon was. The server came back with a skewed strip of bacon that was placed into the drink. I ordered an omelette but forgot to ask if they could delete the mushrooms. Luckily, I didn't detect one crimini in my dish. Good for me, but...? All in all, the food was good. I went back with my friends and the service was not good. Our server came to take our drink order after we were sitting for 10 minutes without menus. One friend asked for menus and the waitress seemed annoyed. Got the menus and ordered our food. I asked for an egg white omelette but it came as a normal omelette--no issue I didn't complain and ate it. Another friend got a pesto bowl and said the potatoes were almost raw, she had to send it back to be remade and by the time it came back we had almost finished our meal. On top of that, they tried to charge her for two orders of the dish that she had them remake...Not a great experience but could have just been an off day for them. read more

I haven't been here on the weekend, just weekdays so far, and the service each time has been so friendly and fast. Their benedicts are fantastic and their sandwiches are such a great value. You get a soup or salad included with your sandwich order. My parents were in town visiting and made the walk over and enjoyed their lunch here while I was at work. This was my first time at this location but have had otherwise great experiences at other locations in other states. The service here is really bad. Very patronizing staff. They brought soup without a spoon and after waiting for a few minutes the guy replied with "it takes literally two seconds" as if to offset them not bringing it in the first place. Since it was the guests only meal, kind of sucked he couldn't eat with the rest of us. Several staff members just kept walking by when we flagged them down. The front wait staff is also very odd with the same patronizing comments when we didn't respond to their message that our table was ready when it doesn't ask you to and we were literally sitting in front of the host stand. Just weird vibes from the staff. We get you hate your guests but this isn't dicks last resort. At least the food was good. read more

My boyfriend & I went early on a Monday. The seating area was pretty full, but there was no wait. I got the special Muffin Top Breakfast with blueberry muffin tops, blueberry compot, granola, & fresh fruit. It was pretty good! Slightly dry, but they did give syrup, I just chose not to use it so it wasn't overly sweet. The granola strusel on top was a great touch and gave a hint of cinnamon which went well with the muffin tops. We both got the iced coffee as well, which comes creamy! It was decent for restaurant iced coffee. The service wasn't bad & they do ask if you want a cup of iced coffee to go which I thought was pretty cool! Overall, it was a decent meal! Joined waitlist on google and was sent a text to check in at the front. Went in to check in at front and was met with a "I'll be right with you" by Albert. Which is fine. But a white family walks in immediately after and he tends to them, checking them in right away. I talked to a nice lady right next to him whom I told I was waiting but was never checked in. She told Albert that I was first to which Albert whispered something to her. I asked him what he whispered and he said it was nothing and then checked me in. When I signaled for the rest of my family to come in to sit on a bench on the inside to avoid the cold, he aggressively said, "You'll be texted when your table is ready." I live close by and was hoping to try this new brunch spot that opened up but was very disappointed by the microaggression and/or straight up aggression from Albert. Do better. read more
