The Tri-fecta and The Traditional Breakfast
    Maricel J.

Hubby and I decided to come here for breakfast. It's located in Ravinia Plaza, with ample parking. The staff are warm and welcoming -- we were greeted as soon as we arrived. Even though it was packed, our wait was maybe about 10 minutes, give or take. The ambiance is bright and airy with modern decor. The waiting area has a self-serve coffee station, which is a wonderful touch. Like some other patrons, we were not served water when we sat down. I did see some water on a few tables, and maybe patrons need to ask. Our server, Reegan, was pleasant. They brought a carafe of coffee and said it comes from Colombia. Love how strong it is. Hubby ordered The Tri-fecta with a pancake and smoked ham. I ordered The Tradtional Breakfast with chicken sausage and toast. We both enjoyed our meals. This is a wonderful neighborhood staple. We will definitely be back.

2nd Day in business! Waiting space has coffee. Very nice.

Welcome to the neighborhood! Day 2 of First Watch in Orland, IL and I know that I am excited to have this wonderful establishment close to home. This is the 2nd location in the entire state of Illinois, and I find it exciting. Now, let's hop into this review. As mentioned, this is DAY 2 of this establishment being open. So, I really wanted to observe. Come in and get one of my new favorite bites and enjoy all that was offered. I kept in mind: This location just opened. Be kind, enjoy:) It is REALLY cute inside. Cozy, welcoming. Opening week brings free coffee for all. YAY! So nice! I went in with one thing on my mind; Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. I ordered this pancake as part of what is called their "Tri-fecta". 2 eggs, 2 pieces of meat your choice (I selected chicken sausage) and one multigrain pancake (the lemon ricotta, OMG). This pancake came with fresh strawberries and was lightly dusted with powdered sugar. I asked for maple syrup just in case I needed a lil kiss of buttery yummers. My date ordered Barbacoa Breakfast Tacos. 3 came in the order, with a side of black beans and avocado. Lucky for me, I got the side of green loving (avocado). The Million Dollar Bacon was a side order. It is truly a sweet smoky bacon treat, with a kick of spice. DO TRY IT! I had a cup of coffee that was stronger than CAPTAIN AMERICA! Yet yummers! We arrived after 12p and we had plenty of time to eat, talk with neighbors at the table right next to us and allow our food to digest. This restaurant is a wonderful establishment. I have visited their Oakbrook, IL location several times, and it is truly a nice place for breakfast/lunch. Farm to table. Fresh and delightful. It truly is that simple and easy. I hope others will find their way and make a big fuss about First Watch. Go in, ask about their story as to how this business was established. It will warm your heart. I will say, what I WOULD have liked from this experience: To be offered water at the table. An Explanation of the menu/specials. THIS location, to have had the server explain much of anything. She was just rushing along, the entire time. Everything was a rush. Disappointing, but the kinks will work out. I am sure of it. Again, HAPPY to have First Watch in Orland, IL. A nice addition to what we already have, and I am happy about it. YAY for LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES! Make this establishment a part of your breakfast hot spots! It is a great place, with great history, they really give back to others in more ways than one. And as always, you don't have to take my word for it....GO GET YOU SOME!

We came on a Saturday morning and they were very busy. We were able to get on a waitlist online which helped our wait. We started with the donuts which were really good and are offered free on a coupon when you sign up. The food was really fresh and delicious. They seem to be geared towards healthy and fresh. The decor was inviting. Very open concept and was loud. Staff were friendly, quick and accommodating.

Came here for brunch and was seated pretty quickly on a weekday. Tried their strawberry tres leche French toast which was a popular item but not a fan of it. Also tried their caramel iced coffee which tasted very off but mint mocha coffee was soo much better. The service was great.

Grand opening, reservations only . Very crowded. Anticipating the arrival of food . Getting the Bacado Omelet .

Food was good but pricey. Service was very good. The ambience is nice and low key. This place gets very busy on the weekends.

The food was great and service was excellent! We entered and were greeted with open doors. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu!

Food was very delicious. The Million Dollar bacon and the Million Dollar Potato's are well worth the visit. Plus they leave the whole carafe of coffee at your table so you won't have to wait for a warm

The atmosphere is dimly lit (which I love), clean, lots of wood and leather everywhere. It's spacious but also cozy. On to the food.. my favorites have been the butterfish and the trout. This last time I got a pesto gnocchi with shrimp. The shrimp was really good right off the grill as were the gnocchi but it was kind of swimming in an oily sauce. I expected it to either be creamy or lightly coated pasta, instead of a pool of pesto and oil. The sauce didn't really stay on to the gnocchi because it was so thin. I used my extra pita bread to sop it up. The artichoke with hummus appetizer is also tasty. My friend got the lamb shank (chops?) and she also enjoyed her meal. The espresso martini was good but it had like a chunky shaved chocolate or something on the rim which was unnecessary and made it kind of hard to drink. We haven't tried any desserts yet but they look amazing. It was about $150 for 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, and 1 appetizer. I couldn't afford this regularly but it's a nice treat every now and then.

Simple, tasty, hot and the service was SWIFT BABY SWIFT! Entree: I ordered Fish tacos. I had my fingers and toes crossed hoping they were going to be amazing. No sir, no ma'am. Flavorless. They looked great though. I ate half of one and gave to my sib for take home bites. I blame me, I should have ordered something safe, like a burger or something easy peasy. Sis ordered a Patty Melt with fries. Looked good, she stated it tasted amazing. Winner, winner, burger dinner! Bro order a couple things: Chicken Tenders and fries and a Quesadilla. He stated his items were delicious. We sat, ate, sipped and enjoyed the space. I would absolutely recommend this establishment for friend/family gatherings, or popping in for sips and wings. They have an assortment of homemade sips and eats, and their menu is pretty large. If anything, I will be back to try more options of things. Simple grub! Great location and friendly staff! As always, you don't have to take my word for it, go get you some!

We love this business. The food, drinks, and service are always good. The only complaint I have…read moretoday, is that I had the fish and chips costing $17.99. They were good, but I rec'd 4 pieces of fish that were no wider than my thumb, no longer than an index finger. They used to be larger. I had to fill up on fries. Huge disappointment!!
