Came here for breakfast with my sister. My first time I tried first watch was when I was in Florida and I had a good experience with the food. The turkey and gravy biscuits were pretty good and I also like how the eggs tasted. They have quality food so I wanted to try the oakbrook location with my sister since this is a new location. She ordered the waffle, egg and bacon dish . Both Bacons were soft and soggy not crispy like you would expect so They took it back and supposedly remade it , it took a while so I'm just wondering how long does it take to recook bacon lol Anyway the waffle she had a few bites and did not like it! It was soggy! Waffles are supposed to be crispy and when you use your fork it supposed to cut but the waffle she needed a knife and she barely could cut through it! so either they didn't cook it long enough or whatever. The waitress offered a different option like French toast so my sister said yes anyway they made her plate and it came back with just one soggy bacon and one kind of crispy where is the consistency? Who is the cook back there!?! What a disappointment for her first time and she won't be back! I don't think I'll be back to this location because they don't have the right consistency like all the other locations should have the same consistency! The server was kind to adjust the check without us asking .. too bad just only one meal , we won't be back ! I have to go to Florida lol read more

2hrs wait do not worth it. Cold food, Benedict's overcooked. Will never refer my friends to this place.

Food was great! Only two of us do the wait for a seat wasn't long but there was a line for larger parties, but that is expected. I will return read more

We ordered at lunchtime and were quickly served. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was FAB! I would recommend this location.

Such an amazing variety of food! Definitely get in line on yelp! Their line is so long, but worth it! Friendly staff!

Great food and service. The options are varied and delicious. Pleasant staff and location.

Great food. Service was ok but very busy when I went. Loved the atmosphere. Will come back again

First time visiting a First watch and loved our experience here! Really good food and really good vibe. The portion size is moderate. Everyone was so sweet and helpful! I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

Tasty food. Pleasant ambiance. Good online checkin process. Decent variety. Will visit again. Fairly priced.

The food here is awsome. I normally do not wait in queue but this place is worth it. Try the million $$ bacon

The wait wasn't long , the food looked better on pictures than it tasted the French toast was good but small portion ! Overall it was ok , not a big deal ! read more

Had a perfectly delicious lunch. There 2 for two menu was just right. Sandwiches were so fresh and tasty! The Boost in our refreshing juice mixes really made us feel good! The Fall cinnamon bun concoction was the best desert! Will be back! read more

I'm scared, the avocado in their avocado toast was fizzy. Like it has been fermented and it tasted like they were trying to cover it up with onion and salt.... :( why did they give me a blueberry muffin with an oatmeal... so confused... juice was subpar. Andre the server was the only redeeming quality, thanks Andre! read more

The food is excellent and the customer service is like white table cloth fine dining. This the third time my family ate at this restaurant, and I'm impressed to say the least. We had the French Toast and kale salad. I have one request. Please bring back the shrimp and grits. read more

Way overrated. We were seated promptly but then waited for a very long time to get waited on. Overpriced food including mediocre burger and soup that had to have come out of a can. Server only came back to the table when we asked for something, never just stopped by to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. One of the worst items we had was the highly touted cinnamon bun creation, so exceedingly sweet it was not edible. read more

worst corned beef sandwich EVER! very little meat and chopped up. Dry no taste. I'm pissed I ate it. I will NEVER RETURN!

First Watch is the first restaurant to locate in one of my favorite shopping centers. I could spend hours there and now can get something to eat without having to get in my car or cross busy Cermak Road in Oakbrook. I loved my experience at First Watch, maybe because it was my first breakfast outing since before the pandemic. It's lovely inside, the staff were all very friendly. They brought us water and put an extra bottle of water on the table, a little detail I always appreciate. The menu was not too big and overwhelming, just right with interesting options. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were fluffy and came topped with lemon curd and fresh strawberries. The Million Dollar Bacon was like the world's best candy. Sweet and a hit of heat. I didn't try the coffee but they also sell it there to take home. I am looking forward to trying some of the other menu items. The server was attentive but not too much and he took the time to ask more about my granddaughter's allergies and make sure the kitchen staff was aware, another detail I appreciate. read more

I had been eager to try this place as I love a good breakfast out. The atmosphere was nice, though getting a bit tired of all the new breakfast spots donning the farmhouse motif. But this place did a good job with it. However, friendliness did not seem to be top of their list. The hostess showed us to the table, but without a smile or an "enjoy your meal." But the worst was our waitress. She asked if we wanted coffee. My friend said no thank you, I said yes. The waitress immediately walked away without asking if my friend wanted anything else. When she brought my coffee & my friend asked for a Diet Coke, she looked as if we made some major faux pas. The worst, though, was when she asked if we had decided yet. I ordered the Trifecta w/ Belgian waffles, adding that I also wanted a side of potatoes. Very abruptly, the waitress said "wait, you didn't tell me what choice I wanted" & literally gave me a look like I was a complete idiot. I nicely said I indicated I wanted the waffles. "oh, I didn't hear that." No apology, nothing. Then after taking out order, the table next to us got her attention to take their order. She brushed them aside very abruptly. The lady then told us that they were seated before us. Have to say, will not be returning if that is how I'm treated. The food was good, but nothing made it stand out above or beyond other places. Definitely not enough to choose it over Buttermilk. Sad because that area could use a really good breakfast brunch place. read more

Love First Watch! Always a pleasant and super friendly experience with staff and of course the food is AMAZING!!

Came in for brunch and was told it'd be a 20 minute wait for 2. Hour passes by and there was still no table ready. When we were finally able to be seated, our server was no where to be found. The hostess noticed this and went to go look for her. Finally after waiting for about 15-20 minutes for our drinks, someone stopped by. After we placed our drink and food orders, we still waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, the breakfast tacos were bland and cold. The ice in our drinks were way past melted. Overall terrible experience. read more

This review has nothing to do about the food. This is all about the wait time and being kept informed by the hostess. I was told our wait time was going to be 20 to 40 minutes max but to stay close because she could call us at any time and we only had 10 minutes to accept our table so not to wander off. After waiting 40 minutes I returned to the hostess, she told me it would be another 20 to 30 minutes or more. I asked her if we could sit at one of the many empty tables and have a cup of coffee. She told me "No, that that would be unfair to the staff." At 1 hour and 20 minutes I was informed that our table was ready. Needless to say we had left and ate somewhere else. read more

Amazing food, god awful service. Ruined my birthday brunch...will not be back. Don't get served by Jeffery

OH MY GOODNESS..... I just had the best Breakfast this morning at First Watch of Oakbrook. The waitress Chloe was awesome plus 2, she brought a smile to my face. The FOOD was off the charts.. if I could I would give it 11 stars. And what's tops everything off with a huge bow the Manager Kendra came to the table asked how we were doing and greeted me like family. She is what every Manager should strive to be. The only thing I can say is this is a must visit. It doesn't get any better. WOOOOHOOO. read more

The food is amazing and fresh! Andre and Kendra the managers stopped by and chatted. So nice and wanted to make sure everything was perfect! It was! Love this place and have recommended many times. Hoping there will be one in Wheaton soon!!!! read more

The food was delicious and the attention great. Looking forward to going back. Healthy choices and portions are perfect. Not too big.

My fav breakfast place ever. So yummy and great prices & selection. The ice coffee is amazing

Good food, good service, long wait times. It's what you expect from a First Watch Restaurant.

Excellent food! We ate at the Kildeer location and it was my first time here. I must say, this was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have EVER eaten and will be going back very soon. The flavors were outstanding and the service was wonderful and patient read more

This is probably the best breakfast place in the area..It looses a star due to no reservations and I personally do not like the coffee...But all the rest is VERY good. The bacon is delicious. The egg dishes and all the basic creations are a step above. They have a very good lunch/brunch menu also. The service and servers are also all attentive and very good. A very nice place. Just avoid it during peak times so you do not have to wait.... read more

Good food, but a little on the $$ side for a breakfast spot - but not out of line with some of the comparables nearby. My wife said they have the best oatmeal around and I enjoyed the shrimp & grits - which you don't see around here much. Waits can be long - hopefully this will even out as the newness fades. Overall - two thumbs up! read more

I love this place! This was my second visit to the Oakbrook location and the food and service were outstanding. I really wish I kept the receipt so I could give a shout out to the server who was very friendly and helpful. I brought a friend who was visiting for the first time and she was having a hard time deciding between the French Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Biscuits and Gravy. He described the flavor of each and she decided on the Pancakes. She said they were the best Lemon Ricotta Pancakes she has ever had! I've been a fan of First Watch for several years now...I first discovered the restaurant in Hermitage TN, where I visited several times. This past September, I discovered they opened a location in Wilmington, NC and had breakfast there twice. They are always consistent and very good. The food, ambiance and service never disappoint! read more

Well really my FIRST WATCH is putting on my FitBit...so really this was my SECOND Watch today. What a great way to start you day. Kind of a country farm house feel to it...coffee carafe on the table (haven't seen that since IHOP) and endless coffee...water in a little milk bottle! There's a big chalkboard on the wall...very colorful and full of great ideas and juices galore! There's a SPRING menu in addition to the regular grub...everything on the menu is so unique... breakfast combos I never saw before...who knew? Great wait staff and attentiveness from door opening for us to being greeted to our table and the host giving us the best seat in the house (window)...then our Sunday start...from loaded steel cut oatmeal WITH a blueberry muffin to the tradition (sausage, eggs and pancake)...quick and great! Wonderful location! As Arnold would say.."I'll be BAAAAAACK"! read more

This place has been such a holy grail to have down the street! Amazing food, coffee, drinks, and waiters. But!! Let me tell you, Mo (Mariah) is THE best waitress! She was funny and made us feel so welcome and happy with everything, did i mention funny also! she really makes you want to come back ! Very happy and full read more

I enjoyed breakfast there and thought the service was great. I actually purchased gift cards to give as gifts to my friends,

We were visiting from out of town and I was looking for to some brunch drinks, Unfortunately we arrived before 10am on a Sunday and they can't serve (county law) the server didn't initially tell me that when he took my order. He apologies and brought me a good juice drink (minus the tequila) Very thoughtful! I had the skillet, my husband has an omelet and we had the famous bacon. It was ALL so delicious, huge portions, amazing jam and bread! read more

Haven't even tried the food I just picked up, but with the service I just had, I won't be back. First impressions matter.

Food was excellent and came out quick even at 9 AM on Sunday. Was about $40 before tip, for 2 entrees and a stack of protein pancakes. Good healthy options, would deff eat here again. read more
