We had high expectations when we walked in. However, these were quickly disappointed. The waitress messed up the order and we received the wrong version of the dish. It was replaced, but they must have picked through my friend's food because there were still some mushrooms in it. We also had to ask three times for water. The waitress, Dawn, was very rude and the place is poorly managed. She also messed up our checks and had attitude with us. Went for breakfast the past two days and had Lorena as our server both days. She is fantastic! Remembered us, what we ordered, how we like our coffee, etc. Food is very good and servings are large. They even split the items we were planning to share to make it easy for us. It's a busy location so there can be a wait, but we arrived around 10am both days & didn't wait more than a couple minutes each day. Thanks again to Lorena. Came here for breakfast, and it was awesome! I've never been to first watch before, but I had heard good things about it which got me excited! I came with a group of 9, and we initially tried to reserve a table, but I guess it's their corporate policy not to give reservations, even for big groups. I thought that was kind of silly, but even then we had only a 10 minute wait which wasn't too bad. In terms of the food, I got 2 pancakes- I got one of the lemon ricotta pancakes and I got a carrot cake pancake. That carrot cake pancake was definitely the star!! Nicely spiced and light with just a little bit of crispiness on the outside- it was perfect! I'll definitely be getting that again next time. The lemon ricotta was okay. The pancake was a little heavier, and the lemon flavor was pretty much all in the lemon curd that comes with the pancake. The strawberries that come with the pancake were really necessary to lighten up that pancake. The reason I'm giving first watch 4 and not 5 stars is because a couple of service snafus. Firstly, a bunch of us got coffee, and the "new pot" that they brought over for us had a definite burnt flavor to it. We told our waitress who was very nice about it and brought us another pot, but the next pot tasted watered down.. Another thing that happened was one of us ordered a chocolate milk, and that definitely tasted more like milk with just enough chocolate syrup to give some color, not much chocolate flavor at all. Finally, my 1 lemon ricotta pancake ended up costing over $7 when 2 lemon ricotta pancakes costs less than $9... That doesn't make any sense! We told our waitress, and she said she couldn't do anything about it because the $7 was the correct price. That being said, the other pancakes really are an amazing deal, since any of the other pancakes is ~$4 for 1 pancake and ~$7 for 2 pancakes. You can't beat that! Overall, even with some of the issues we had during our meal, I really enjoyed what I had ordered, and I'd gladly go back for another short stack of pancakes!! read more

I see what they did with the ciabatta and "vine ripe" tomato, great way to add 2 bucks on the cost. Sadly consequence of putting tomato between ham and egg is a wet cold bite between two hot items. best of all eggs came out hard poached, sad. Tip instead of staging poached eggs already poached portion them and poach them for the 15 seconds it take to make real poached eggs on order in water with vinegar at 170 to 180 degrees, literally dummy proof. I came to Naples from West Virginia to bring my niece home and we stopped here for breakfast. It was amazingly delicious! I had the Chickichanga without green chiles and it was so flavorful. It would have been perfect alone but the potatoes and fresh fruit made it better. My niece had the side of biscuits and gravy and while she didn't care for it (she is pretty particular and uneasy with new foods) I tasted it and decided it was great. I usually love this first watch, out of all the locations in Naples I usually choose this location. The food is fresh and people are usually so kind. However; our waitress today ruined my experience of this place entirely. Natile (which I didnt even know until i received my receipt) was rude from the start. She came over with a rude face but we all continued to smile. When we requested coffee and water she then proceeded to look nasty and comment back on our request for them. Once she got back with the drinks, she put my cup on the opposing side of the table, clearly where i couldnt reach and no one else was sitting. She rushly took our order and off she went. When she came back with the food I was the last one to receive my food. Not a word was said to me about the fact that everyone else in my party had full plates. My food finally comes out while my boyfriend's side of eggs take another 10 minutes. Not offering us anything else she mixes up the checks and walks away. I work in this industry I know how much the quality of your service means. Especially when your tips can be the difference in what you can and cannot afford. I am not bashing on the establishment in any way. They have great food and usually great service. The service I received today was not fair. Everyone at our table with a smile on our face and I was treated like I did not exist. I hope maybe she was just having a rough morning and did not notice that she was making that impression. But an important part of this industry is to always make people feel welcome and equal and today I did not experience that. read more

Wow, is all I can say ... I've passed First Watch at least 2 dozen times and always thought it was a medical supply store. Just recently, someone told me it was a restaurant. Being the fan of breakafst that I am, I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Floridian French Toast and was HIGHLY impressed. It was delicious, firstly, and looked just like it does in pictures. It's a big meal (with 2 slices of brioche that are each the size of my face), and it comes with a LOT of fruit - not like the measly portions you usually get as a restaurant side - and it was all FRESH! They also offer sugar-free syrup, which I was happy about even though I didn't end up using it. Mine was a to-go order, so I can't speak on the service just yet, but I can't wait to give this place a shot on the weekends. read more

We found First Watch on Yelp and it seemed to have the right type of food we were looking for lunch. Light and healthy. I had a Reuben and the pecan something salad. The Reuben was good. The salad had a sweet dressing that was a bit heavy for the amount of salad on the plate. I had to scrape it off a bit so I wouldn't have some sugar overload. My wife had an egg white omelet that she really liked along with a Kale juice. She really liked her meal, which means a lot since she's more critical than I am of restaurants! Average at best. A little too greasy and the butter quality is not good. A chef that can't cook eggs in a breakfast restaurant should be fired immediately. Fried eggs were browned, scrambled eggs were separated and so were the omelets. If you can't properly beat an egg, don't work in a breakfast restaurant! Do better First Watch! We went there on a recommendation but I'm guessing it's going down hill and they don't care. The staff was good but somebody needs to talk to the cooks. I mean, come in now, it's eggs! How hard is it to make eggs?!!! My son said his chocolate chip pancakes tasted very salty so he didn't eat. Didn't look like whole grain pancakes either, as described on the menu. The fruit cup literally had three pieces of fruit. Two smooshed morsels of honeydew and a piece of pineapple. We ordered 5 meals and donut holes. It could have been better with some attention to detail and cooks that care or know how to cook. I think we'll stick with Skillets Restaurant because it's always consistent and good. 2.5 stars but gave three because maybe it was an off day. read more

As a local I almost feel it's unnecessary to write a review for First Watch. If you're a Naples resident you've heard of or have been to one of their great locations. Personally I prefer this location as it's not as busy as the south Naples location. They provide a fresh and healthy breakfast/lunch, delicious juice and a refreshing water infused with lemon. Breakfast is my favorite meal so I have devoured several Belgian waffles and pancakes in my visits. Great breakfast restaurant. Menu has many original entrees you don't find anywhere else. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes and the carrot cake and pecan pancakes- they were great! Coffee in pot was tepid at best and allowed for one cup of coffee. Coffee mug still had prior users lipstick on it and had splatters of coffee inside it. Water glass literally had food in it. Ordered Croque Madame...aweful. Listening to people around me whose food is missing something makes me nervous that the kitchen is clueless and cleanliness shoddy. So sad since the first original location rocked over 20 some years ago. Attention to details starts to fall off when you have too many locations.
