I have always had great food and fantastic service everytime I have been there. I ordered the "works" omelets with crispy potatoes. my English muffin wasn't as dark as I wanted but they made me a new one which turned out dark and crispy the way i like it. my wife ordered her usual Trifecta. her egg whites weren't super crispy as she requested but they fixed them and brought out a perfect crispy order. she upgraded her bacon to the million dollar. if you don't know what that is it's thicker, with brown sugar and pepper. she enjoyed the orange juice even though it's a little Pricey. we like this place and will return. read more

First I just want to thank the staff of First Watch. Every person we encountered was smiling, courteous, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. That said, the food was delicious!!! Win Win!!!! We ordered from the breakfast selections. The salmon eggs Benedict, served with a side of spring greens was fantastic. My friend got an omelette, and she enjoyed every bite. You really must try the Million Dollar Bacon. Not sure what the sweet and slightly spicy topping was, ??? Maple syrup with a hint of cayenne maybe???? It was so yummy that we ordered an extra serving to take home for our husbands to try!!! ( yes they loved it) The coffee was hot and fresh and served with a smile!!!! A solid breakfast spot. Food is fresh and staff are friendly. Their menu contains many different options that run the gamut from healthy to indulgent. Today, I ordered the seasonal Pumpkin Pancake breakfast. It came with a large pancake that actually had a nice pumpkin flavor. I like the consistency; it was a bit more dense than a normal pancake, but it was really moist, not cake-like. The chicken sausage was filling, but not very flavorful. My eggs were cooked perfectly. I had originally tried First Watch several years ago when my wife and I came up for vacation. Once we moved to Louisville, we never made it back until the one on 42 opened up. First, the food is very good. The servers and host are always on their game. I have had multiple menu options, but my favorite is Biscuits with Turkey Sausage. It is one of my Wife's and niece's favorite breakfast spots. I have to admit, I do not complain when they want to eat at First Watch. I went to the cafe for breakfast with my wife. The restaurant was not crowded so service should not have been too slow. Cut to the point my wife and I ordered coffee. The pot was almost empty so the server poured less than half a cup for each of us. She stated they were making more and she would be right back to fill our cups. Unfortunately she never returned. That's not the worst part, that occurred when we received our bill we were charged for two cups of coffee. We spoke to the manager who refunded us for one cup of coffee after we explained what happened. I guess he felt that both cups almost half full equaled one cup so he charged us. As a result neither of us got to enjoy a full cup of coffee. It's bad enough in an empty restaurant the manager never came to any tables to check on service, but charging for a cup of coffee when nobody received a cup of coffee is pathetic. I am so in love with this brunch place! I know they have other locations, but I had never been until they opened on US 42 in my neighborhood. I have been many times in the past year and have never been disappointed in either the service, or the food! The customer service is outstanding and the food is great! My friend is obsessed with First Watch. We indulged her and decided to join her for brunch there one day. We went to the newest Kentuckiana location on a Sunday. Full disclosure, I should have put our names in on the virtual wait list. It would have helped expedite our visit. We were quoted a 25 minute wait, but it ended up being longer. We got worried we were forgotten. Thankfully we weren't. But we know what to do for next time. When we did get seated, I got a coffee which was flavorful with great hazelnut creamers on the table. My friends got the seasonal drinks which were quite frankly gorgeous. We got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cinnamon roll as a snack to share. It was heavenly! For brunch we all got something different. My friend got the vegetarian sandwich, which she found hearty and flavorful. My friend who was jonesing for First Watch got the vegetarian eggs Benedict which was tasty. I got the Floridian French Toast with Grits. It was very yummy and I really appreciated it. I wish time wise this visit had been more efficient, our wait time was different than anticipated and our cinnamon roll actually came at the end of our visit. So excited to have a first watch in my neighborhood! I have loved first watch for years, and so glad they are expanding their presence in Louisville. A few days after the grand opening (last week), I placed an online pickup order for French toast, turkey sausage, eggs, and breakfast potatoes. My order was mostly correct and ready on time! All of the employees were polite. They did put butter on my French toast after I requested no butter, so I would recommend being very explicit about dietary restrictions. A group of 16 women had lunch at First Watch Holiday Manor on March 13, 2024 after our Jazzercise class. We sat outside on a beautiful day and had a very pleasant experience. A big thank you to the young man, Tuan, who was very helpful in finding us a spot where we could all be together. He got us seated promptly and checked on us to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Our waitress, Alexis, was friendly and very competent. Even with such a large group, she got all 16 orders correct. Our food arrived quickly and we all agreed that it was delicious and very generous.
