From service to food everything was just mediocre. Breakfast tacos while not bad by any means just an odd combination of chicken and chorizo. Absolutely no need to combine those two proteins. The multigrain blueberry pancake was well...multigrain. I didn't realize that that was the only type of pancake batter they used. Not fluffy at all very hearty but very crispy I just wasn't expecting that texture. The biscuits and gravy were solid. Coffee was meh. Just not great flavor at all and I drink it black. I'd go back again to try something else. Just don't expect anything revolutionary in breakfast foods just a lot of the same that you can get just about at any other breakfast place. It saddens me to write this review, but over the years the service at this location has fallen so far that we may never come back. For the last two years they had two servers that were phenomenal. One left and the other moved to Tucson. Today, we arrived at 7:15 am to find two tables occupied. It took our server 15 mins to acknowledge us. She didn't say "hi", "welcome to...", or anything other than "who wants coffee." We ordered our breakfast and when she returned with our drinks, she never brought straws for our Morning Meditation. 10 mins she dropped off our food, with barely a comment. During this entire time of "waiting" on us she was in the corner of the restaurant doing paperwork. No refills, barely even a "how was the food" when we were almost done with breakfast. I don't understand why these people don't get what service is, a smile, a welcoming attitude to the business. I'm not much of a breakfast person but this place is outstanding. We dropped in for brunch and tried a few different things on the menu and some eats for the kids well. I ordered the Baja Turkey Burger and my wife the Roast Beef and Havarti sandwich. We split each in half and shared. Both very tasty and filling. We also ordered a few of the drinks; the Morning Meditation, a sweet blend of orange, lemon, agave nectar, beets, amd ginger, and the Kale Tonic, which mixes kale, apple, lemon, and cucumber. Both are very sweet, but delicious and healthy (it would seem). Also noteworthy is the look of the place. It's comfy/modern/hip, and the music is at just the right level, never drowning out your conversation like other breakfast places we've tried. Met some of my colleagues here for brunch on a Sunday and I didn't have to wait for seating to my surprise! It was my first time here. I was the first to arrive but they had no problem seating me while I waited for the others. However, after we left I seen there was a wait outside. I have attempted to try this place a few times and the wait time was always long. So I went to a different location on a weekday and Bam - right in! Great breakfast and lunch options! I was pleasantly surprised at their healthy and delicious food options. My hubby saw a nearby table get served a very tasty looking juice drink, which was one of their morning meditation juice blends. When he asked about what was in it, our server not only explained it, but also offered to give us samples of all three of their juice blends! Like YUM! It's all about the food This was our first visit to this First Watch, and we had a nice brunch with great service. Our server was attentive, without being intrusive and our meals were both tasty. The restaurant was busy, however, the wait wasn't very long. Once seated our drinks were brought quickly. Everyone tried something different. I ordered pancakes with warm syrup, eggs, and bacon, and it was delicious. The bacon was crispy and pancakes were light and fluffy. All in all a great dining experience for breakfast. Never been to this location before and have only been to First Watch once prior to this visit. The atmosphere is nice and open, relaxed feeling. Restrooms were clean. I read reviews on the staff and I didn't find that at all. Our waitress Astacia, I probably just butchered her name :( anyway she was very friendly and took care of us, kept checking on us and all around great service. My mom ordered the ham sandwich melt and tomato basil soup she says it's her favorite and always orders the same thing, my dad ordered the chili chorizo omelette he says it's flavorful and would recommend it, he also ordered the biscuits and gravy and he said he has had better, biscuits are flat said the flavor is not bad and actually compared the biscuits to my moms lol...which is not good hahaha! I'm breaking up with First Watch. We have been a long time customers but after today, no more. For a place that prides itself on fresh food, they are sorely lacking in this department. The last few times we have come here, I've had to ask TWICE for them to heat up my daughter's crepe. It was cold. The waitress tried to tell me it was the yogurt that made it cold but nope, the crepe itself was freezing. They remade it but I was pissed because this has now happened more than once. It is part of the KIDS menu- why are you guys okay with serving cold food to kids?! The creamer for my coffee was curdled. And my daughter's high chair had a latch that didnt work. My family and I came in it was not busy at all. First thing when the host sees us obvious Hispanics and her Caucasian she made a fad of disgust to us. We get seated out side 30 minutes go by and not one server comes to great us or take our order. The service was great. The food was mediocre at best. We went for the more traditional breakfast over the healthy options. Maybe that was a mistake. Some of the delicious looking options in yelp photos (carnitas breakfast burrito) are no longer available so check a current menu photo. I couldn't believe some of the negative reviews about how the eggs were prepared (egg divas amirite?). Sure enough, I ordered my eggs sunny side up and they came out over easy. At least the yolk was runny. Oh my god. I almost forgot. My moms Benedict Florentine came out and she took a bite and said: "My benedict is cold. That's okay..." it was pretty sad. My wife got a side salad with her omelet and said: "The salad is not dressed." Nor was dressing provided. The potato's were the best part of the meal. Albeit not very seasoned. I, hubby and mini-me went there the other day. Not too bad of a wait time. We weren't ready to order drinks or food and felt like we were punished for it. They weren't super busy yet. So I'm not sure what took so long take/get our order. They have good options for a kids meal. I shared with both my mini-me and husband since I wasn't that hungry. The eggs were good. My husband got an omelet called the Works Ham. It had bacon, sausage, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Topped with all-natural sour cream. I wasn't a big fan. Eggs tasted dry and I didn't like the sour cream. Nice place to try but good luck waiting for water. Lol.
