Traditional Breakfast. Turkey Sausage Links, Sunny Side Up Eggs ( gag, lol ) potatoes and toast. Don't dip your potatoes in that container
    Gloria J.

Decided to finally give this place a try late on a Wednesday morning. We 'got in line' via the app before heading there. We arrived and checked in and were still told 15 minutes. After about 7 minutes, they texted and we were seated. The inside is super nice. I love the industrial type look, lots of clean lines and very simple. It was crowded, but the sound was not loud at all. Our server was great, if you get coffee, they leave an entire carafe at your table, so you don't have to worry about waiting for refills. Same with water. After reviewing the menu and narrowing in on our breakfasts, we both changed our mines as soon as the server came to take our orders...haha. I had the Elevated Egg Sandwich and he had the Traditional Breakfast. The food came fairly fast, probably because we weren't in a hurry and had nothing else to do later. LOL. Both came with diced potatoes with onions... which, were cooked and seasoned to perfection. After my bf dipped his first bite of potato into the little container on his plate, which he thought was ketchup, but was some sort of jam for his toast, we decided to add the Chilula to the potatoes and it put them over the top. Well done, First Watch, well done. We devoured our food by 12:30 and were not able to eat anything else until almost 7:30 pm. It is definitely a spot we will return to. Finally, breakfast/brunch as somewhere other than a Cracker Barrell or Waffle House

Avocado Toast with 2 over easy eggs which were cooked perfectly with a side of grits.

The food and service is spot on. A bit to elbow to elbow at my third visit. I understand trying to make enough seating but most folks including myself, prefer to have a little distance between us and the next table. However, this is my only critic! Beautifully presented , delicious tastes and super courteous and attentive staff!

VIP invite today before tomorrow's big opening. 4/6/25

We had a First Watch brunch today, at the VIP Sneak Peek, and "spoiler alert" it's a big chain and it's gonna get a 5 star from this guy. I have dined at other locations in Pennsylvania and I'm very excited to have one locally. Their first day open in Foley, AL, to the public, 4/7/25. The first location was opened in Pacific Grove, California in 1983 by Ken Pendery and John Sullivan. The co-owners founded it after leaving the Le Peep breakfast chain in Colorado. In 1986, they moved their headquarters to Bradenton, FL. There's more than 570 locations 29 states and they're growing fast. They specialize in being really good at breakfast, rather than being mediocre at all the meals of the day. They're only open for breakfast, lunch and brunch and the doors close at 2:30pm, period. BTW their name "first watch" aboard a ship starts a new day of work for the crew, so being an old sailor from an aircraft carrier it just makes sense :-) None of their locations have any deep fat fryers or heat lamps in its kitchens, and have an expansive menu that caters to almost anyone's taste. That includes those with food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special diets with good vegan and vegetarian options. They go above and beyond by listing every single ingredient for each menu item online so that you can review their options ahead of time. I'm impressed with their use of cage-free eggs, and whole-grain breads and their in-house juices are hand squeezed and they make drinks with them that are spot on. We had the Morning Meditation drink which is: Orange juice, Lemon juice, Turmeric, Organic ginger, Agave nectar, Beet juice, that was absolutely divine. Now, let's talk about our food here. They have a very nice menu of greatvl fresh foods including: Salads: Superfood Kale, Cobb, Sweet Honey Pecan, Chicken Avocado Chop Sides and Small Plates: Bob's Red Mill Grits, Buttered Corn, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Million Dollar Potatoes, Biscuits & Gravy, Our Whole Grain Artisan Toast with All-Natural House Preserves, English Muffin, Gluten Free Toast, Freshly Baked Muffin of the Day, Hardwood Smoked Bacon, Smoked Ham, Chicken Apple Sausage Patty, Lemon Sausage, Greens Dressed Organic Mixed, Bowl of Soup, Tomato Basil, and Soup of the Day Sandwiches: Monterey Club, Organic Mixed Club, Mayo on Sourdough, BLT, Artisan Whole Grain, Roast Beef & Havarti, Ham & Gruyere Melt The Healthier Side: Avocado Toast, Healthy Turkey, Superfoods Bowl, Steel-Cut Oatmeal, Power Wrap Egg-sclusives: Chickichanga, The Elevated Egg Sandwich, BLT, Benedict, Classic, Tomato Omelets and Frittatas: Bacado, Chile Chorizo, Topped with all-natural sour cream and served with a side of housemade pico de gallo, The Works, Frittata Rustica, Smoked Salmon & Roasted Vegetable Frittata I've had quite a few choices from various locations but my honey had Frittata Rustica that she really enjoyed, and I had Market Skillet Hash with two cage-free eggs atop seasoned potatoes, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, and baby spinach, topped with melted Mozzarella and herbed Goat cheese, served with whole-grain artisan toast. It's a hearty, vegetarian dish with fresh, savory flavors that is out of this world delish. Of course we had to have a side of that crazy good Million Dollar Bacon :-) From the Griddle: Multigrain Pancakes, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Belgian Waffle, French Toast, Floridian French Toast Classic Favorites: The Traditional Breakfast, Tri-Fecta, Eggs Benedict, The Elevated Egg Sandwich, Skillet Hash, Million Dollar Bacon Power Bowls: Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl Beverages: Project Sunrise Coffee, Decaf Coffee, Cold Brew Coffee, Iced Coffee, Herbal Tea, Fresh-Brewed Iced Tea, Hot Chocolate, Reduced-Fat Milk, Oat Milk, Coca-Cola Soft Drinks, 100% Pure Squeezed Orange Juice, Grapefruit Juice, Apple or Cranberry Juice * Their coffee tastes great and something unique about theirs is what the menu tells you: "Every cup of our Project Sunrise coffee tells a story. It's about empowering the Mujeres en Café, or women farmers, who grow and handpick each bean, supporting families and strengthening communities throughout South America. And that's only the first sip. Because we believe better coffee cultivates a better world." That's pretty cool!! BTW Don't pass up the opportunity to indulge in their Million Dollar Bacon (baked with brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and black pepper and topped with maple syrup and herbs) it is decadent, yum. Bottom line: Clean, vibrant place with very good service (thanks Little John), good coffee, with great menu and food done right and served hot. Absolutely recommended!

Keep up the great work and we look forward to your being open again soon. They just had an awesome upbeat vibe going on here, even though the heat index was probably over 100°. The real star is the burger itself, the double smash patties were perfect. I loved the grilled onions and pickles. The bun was fantastic as well. The fries came out, piping, hot and perfectly salted with flaky salt, oh my God I love them. The service and food absolutely killed it. If it weren't for the oppressing heat and the flies that just come with eating outdoors this time of year, this would be a perfect score.

He recommended eating at the Tin-Top based on reviews and his personal experience, so we set off on a Saturday night for Bon Secour. There was already a crowd of people there when we arrived and we were told it would be a 90-minute wait. That seemed excessive, but hey, it's a tourist place and apparently well-like, so we agreed to wait. The restaurant is "chaotic", so if you're not looking for a loud, semi-party atmosphere, it might not be the place for you. Once we got the food ordered, it was another 30 minutes before it was served. The waitress came by to let us know that things had gotten just a bit backed up in the kitchen and it would be a little longer than usual. I ordered the stuffed Pork-Chop, mainly because I had eaten one in Nashville that was unbelievable (at another restaurant) that was 1.5 inches thick and the most tender pork chop I had ever had. I was thinking this would be a repeat of that, just with the added special stuffing. Once the food came out, I noticed that my chop looked a bit over-cooked for Medium, but I can handle Med to medium-well. Once I cut into it with a knife, and had to work a bit excessively to get the meat cut, I knew it wasn't going to be quite like the one I had in Nashville. I put the piece in my mouth and realized that I just wasn't going to be able to chew it up enough to swallow it. It seemed to be getting bigger the more I chewed. I discreetly spit it into a napkin and tried a piece from a thicker part of the chop... same story. I didn't say anything or complain (not even to the group). I ate the stuffing and the 2 sides (which were quite good) and just hoped no one would notice I hadn't eaten the $30 chop. My brother did notice and asked if I wanted him to ask for something else (he knows I don't like to send things back), but I told him it would likely take another 40 min to get something, so I just took my time eating the sides and then asked for a to-go box. It wasn't a total waste- I gave it to the condo owner's dog and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

The appetizers were delicious (seafood stuffed mushrooms and fried pickles), and the entrees were gigantic. What made the trip a 10/10 for us is the management. I had a medical episode and the manager, our waitress, and the owner of the restaurant sat with my family and me until the ambulance arrived. Not only did the owner refuse our money and paid for our entire meal, he also made sure our waitress was tipped as well. Fantastic place to eat, and the owner is an angel. We will be back every single time we come down to our home away from home.

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

Hominy, hush puppies, cornbread, grits, Alabama white sauce on any meat, especially smoked chicken, are all popular in Alabama. BBQ is practically a religion in the South! As former certified Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) certified judges, my husband and I completed the training and paid the fees to be certified. The "KCBS way" is different from a lot of people's preferences in that, for example, a BBQ rib should actually have some "pull" to it, meaning, when you bite into it, your mouth should leave a mark in the rib. This means "fall off the bones" ribs are not KDBS quality, despite how many love that rib consistency. The KCBS judges slots fill up so quickly and required us to travel at our own cost and we did not judge any KCBS events. Back to Southern food. Deep fried double Oreos are one of the many fried foods here in Huntsville, and Melt restaurant features them on their menu. Meat-and-Three restaurants feature a meat (usually fried pork chop, meatloaf, BBQ, fried catfish, country fried steak/chicken) and three sides (fried okra, creamed corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked potato, potato salad, cole slaw, French fries) and bread options such as cornbread, rolls, hush puppies. While Southern Cooking is absolutely delicious, I have to limit it because lets face it, it is high in calories and cholesterol. When I do indulge, it's shrimp and grits, pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes, and fried whole okra.
