The cashier was friendly and informed me if you work or go to Emory, you get a 10% discount (major bonus). I tried the seasonal banana bread latte iced with oat milk. It's also note worthy that they don't charge for alternative milks. Not the best latte I've ever had but it was good, not overly sweet and I tasted hints of the banana. The foam was creamy as well. I will be back to try their other seasonal items.

The building isn't the most welcoming -- it kind of gives "abandoned" vibes from the outside -- but they were open when I finally decided to stop in. The indoor space is small, though there's plenty of outdoor seating. The gentleman behind the register wasn't exactly the friendliest, but he was accommodating and answered my questions about the menu items. We went midday and were pretty hungry, so we ordered a good spread: the Affogato coffee (just okay), and the Golden Drops Sampler ($16) which included two Caribbean empanadas, one coxinha (a Brazilian croquette stuffed with shredded chicken and cream cheese), and one pão de queijo (a chewy Brazilian cheese bread). The coxinha was easily the standout -- flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the Cuban sandwich. It wasn't the best I've had, but it wasn't the worst either; the one in the menu photo definitely looked better than what we received. For almost $50 total, I wouldn't rush back for the food. The coffee seems to be the main draw here, but while mine was decent, it didn't wow me. Overall: mediocre service, mediocre food. I finally gave it a try, and while I wasn't completely disappointed, I probably won't be back.

I've never done a review in real time before, but since I'm sitting here at Perc for the second day…read morein a row, what better time than the present? Let's get into it! Location and Parking Perc has a few locations, I have been to the location in Tucker, I am currently writing this review while at the East Lake location, which is located at the intersection of Hosea Williams Drive and Second Ave. There are a few spaces to park on the street but there is also a parking lot with plenty of free spaces. Venue and Atmosphere From the first time I stepped in to Perc, they had me. From the bright colors of the coffee bags, to the airiness of the space and the great playlist (think Snoh Aalegra, Thee Sacred Souls, and Cleo Sol). At the East Lake location there is plenty of seating inside, and also outside seating, which I opted for both times that I came, gotta enjoy this good weather right? Food and drinks I had the same thing both days, the Good Times Latte with a little extra syrup and the Crunch Wrap. I am not being dramatic when I say that the Crunch Wrap is hands down one of the BEST breakfast items I've had at any coffee shop I've been to. That probably sounds like hyperbole, but at one point I was going to a new coffee shop every week, so I promise it's not. It's eggs, cheese, hash browns, your choice of sausage or bacon (can't go wrong with either), and their special Perc sauce wrapped into a tortilla and griddled to perfection, and from the first bite to the last perfection it is. The latte is made with their in house vanilla lavender syrup and it is just the perfect amount of sweetness that I like. Service Service is fast and friendly, and they will complement your outfit, so wear something cool. Verdict If coming back twice in a row isn't an indicator that I plan to be a regular here then I'm not sure what is lol. Come here for the coffee and food, stay for the vibes. I know I will! Until next time!

I stopped by PERC specifically to try their popular Crunchwrap, and it did not disappoint! The…read moreCrunchwrap was $9, and the combination of egg, hash brown, cheese, and their special sauce wrapped inside a toasted tortilla was delicious. Everything worked really well together, and I can definitely understand why it gets so much attention. I also tried one of their seasonal iced coffees for $6.50 that was inspired by a root beer float. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was so good! It actually reminded me of a root beer float while still tasting like coffee, which made for a fun combination. Customer service was great. The cashier was friendly, welcoming, and answered all of my questions while I was deciding what to order. The coffee shop itself has a casual, comfortable atmosphere with plenty of seating. I could easily see myself coming here with my laptop and getting some work done. My only little complaint was that it was VERY cold inside, so I'd probably bring a sweater next time! Parking was also a plus. There's street parking available as well as plenty of parking in the shared lot, so finding a spot wasn't an issue during my visit. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at PERC. The Crunchwrap lived up to the hype, my seasonal coffee was delicious, and the service was friendly. My only hesitation is the pricing. At $9 for the Crunchwrap and $6.50 for the coffee, I thought both were a little pricey for what they were. I enjoyed everything enough that I'd still come back, but the value keeps this from being a five-star experience for me.

I'm glad to see they still offer it, although not available on weekends anymore. The PSL must die is as delicious as it is hilarious. I'll have to be honest, I am a PSL drinker but if only the PSL tasted like THIS, I would be drinking these every day. Super creamy and smooth without the overwhelming pumpkin spice flavor that attacks the coffee scene every fall. The Silver Bullet is a more subtle fall drink, but perfect if you're iced a year round iced coffee drinker like me. The apple sesame bourbon syrup is also interesting without being in your face FALL. Academy Coffee isn't your typical coffee shop - their seasonal menu changes make it fun to explore different drinks every visit. And the quality of the coffee and baristas are top notch. I was a little disappointed by how standoffish the baristas were but the coffee makes up for it!

I called the phone number listed on yelp- but it appears it is just a cell number and went directly to voicemail. I went to the website and found an email address. I sent a basic question/ do you have an Ube latte on your menu? To my surprise I received a response! This simple response was exhibit A that they don't play about customer service On Saturday morning I arrived to the shop around 11am! The coffee shop is a neighborhood spot! As such, you will just have to find street parking in the neighborhood. I ended up parking a block away. This place was crowded! I did have to wait in a line. However, I enjoyed checking out the item for sale while waiting in line. The book titles had me laughing , this is your go to spot for a unique gift! We ended up ordering the following: 1. Hot Matcha latte with ube and oat milk 2. Hot ube latte with oat milk 3. Cheese danish NOTE: I did confirm that the matcha they use is NOT pre- sweetened. This is a huge plus in my book!! The item came out quickly. All items weee served in to go containers. I am not sure if this is just standard practice even if you are dining in. We were able to grab a table outside! However, this place was crowded and open seating was limited! My matcha was AMAZING! It was not too sweet, which is how I like my matcha. The cheese danish was also delightful. My friend said she enjoyed her latte too. I will note that I did not taste the Ube flavor. This coffee shop is a vibe, but also serves yo tasty drinks and treats! I would highly recommend checking this spot out !
