How can you not give 5 stars? They have an app that lets you put your name in the line so you don't have to wait too long. The communal table of you are in a hurry is great. The only thing saving this review from no stars is that the manager cut our check by 50%. Service was bad and slow. All our eggs were overcooked and by the time we got our food I think it had been sitting out waiting and getting cold. However, the staff was noticeably over worked, and there are no sound dampening surfaces to subdue the constant clinking and clanking of all the patrons. Overall, the ambience seemed stressed and loud. Our food was generally undercooked. The potatoes had brown tips, but the insides were dense, starchy, and left a mildly bitter aftertaste. No condiments were offered to accompany them. I ordered the Classic Benedict. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were fine, but they were placed on a tomato and ham, both freshly cold from a refrigerator, and an untoasted bread base. Since the bread was not toasted, cutting through the Benedict proved difficult, and the taste was chewy, rather than crunchy. My husband ordered the salmon frittata, which was overdone, and my son had bacon which was chewy and limp. I did consider sending back our food, as we each had issues, but the restaurant was already overworked, and we needed to be on our way. It was our time visiting the restaurant on September 11, for our daughter birthday. The service was horrible. First we were served our coffee with no milk or sugar Then water with no straws There was 3 adults and one child in our party. All 3 adults ordered the same thing. Our daughter's food had a hair in it. Had to send it back. No I am sorry or nothing. My husband and I potatoes were burned to the point we could not eat it. I asked for my bacon not to be brown.- It was dark brown. Need less to say I could not eat. We asked for the child food first. It came out 10 minutes after our food. My daughter asked for scrambled eggs. It was over easy. And we only had utensils for 3. Service was horrible we will never go back. I do not know why I still tipped her!! read more

The food's delicious and the service is always good. My favorite is the chickichanga. I get that every time ago... and on the rare occasion that I order something else, I end up wishing I had that instead. I always go when it's busy Saturday or Sunday morning but somehow never have to wait. There's always room at the family table, and in the Florida heat it's usually easy to get a seat outside. Don't waste your time ordering online from them. They prioritize Uber Eats over everything else. Spent 45 minutes waiting for 2 sandwiches and they kept making excuses yet kept churning out the Uber Eats orders. It was a pleasure to dine here as usual. Michael our server was wonderful and very attentive. We both tried something different on this visit. The avocado toast is my usually go to but today I had the chia pudding with fruit-it was so good!!!!! My husband has the biscuits and gravy and he enjoyed it as well. Coffee was hot and topped off as needed. If you do not like the creamer cups on the table they do have real half and half. Glad I asked. Carina really demonstrates that "you first " attitude with customers, co-workers and management throughout shift. First time for me and my friend at First Watch in Hoover, Al. There was some confusion as we ordered because I could not find what I wanted on their menu due to I had researched it on line... pictures helped... but that is not a problem for most... My problem is that I felt that I had been taken advantage of when I paid our bill... I have a gift card and when I ask that the tip be put on the gift card I was informed that is not allowed.. Had $5 still on the card so when I ask for my change back from the gift card I was told there is no change from their gift cards.. any money that I did not spend was gone...period... wow...! I ended up leave a good tip of $5 from my pocket while they kept my $5 approx... from my payment using the gift card... Does this make sense to anyone... seems to be a real rip off... None of this was explained at anytime except that it was company policy...(could be the policy of the employee..., getting my $5...) read more

Every time I visit this place the wait is never too long and always shorter than what you think it will be. Rachel S is my favorite server because she remembers my name, greets me with a hug like a longtime friend, and always remembers my order! This place is great when it comes to breakfast. The waitress was well organized. The quality of the food is what had blown me away. They use cage-free eggs which I thought would not make a differences but after trying the eggs I became an believer. The prices are similar to IHop and most breakfast joints. I called to place an order for pickup and was told they were too busy to take my order over the phone and that I had to do it online. Having poor eyesight doesn't make this possible. Company cares more about profit then people. Maybe the forthcoming ADA complaint will at least let others be aware. read more

Bad management. When I tried reserving a table online, they said to come on in, no need to reserve and to come in. Of course when we went there 20 min later, they were full and did not have a table for us. This is a poorly run joint. Why have an online option if you are not following it ? Disappointing! read more
