I've heard quite a few great reviews of First Watch so I figured I had to try it out. I'm an definitely one that loves brunch, so most places win me over immediately with the promise of breakfast and lunch foods. We used the app, and arrived a little before the time the app said, just in case. Little did we know that we needed to check in when we got there, definitely our fault because it was written all over the place. This added to our wait time. It took a little while but we got seated. The food was good, no complains here. Was it the best breakfast I've ever had? No. Was it the worst? No. It was good. I'm will probably visit again but it won't be my regular brunch stop for me. read more

First and last time to First Watch this morning. I usually go across the street to the always delicious Snooze to get my Benedict fix. I stumble upon First Watch because of it's mostly positive reviews and because it's healthy / vegetarian / vegan options it was promoting in it's description. I thought I would score some "gluten free brownie points" with my part time vegan wife by recommending this place. A lot of things on the menu sounded tasty. I settled on a standard Benedict with ham and opted for potatoes instead of the standard pairing of lemon dressed greens. As well as the "million dollar bacon" which I have cleverly renamed "five dollar letdown" The benedict looked the part but oddly was very bland. Almost no taste at all to the ham or the hollandaise sauce. Strange right? Our server was very kind and service was prompt. We ordered a fresh juice concoction and after telling her it was so good, she kindly brought out samples of the other juices and they were just as tasty. First Watch. Delicious juice concoctions. We recently went to the FirstWatch on S. University Blvd. What a delight!! The host & our server was Dalton. He is very personable, great at his job & engaging. He shared the history of the restaurant site and was responsive to our questions & compliments concerning the menu offered at this location. Yummy fresh juice, great power green salad. Good service. Busy place so eat lunch at 1:00 pm instead of 12:00 pm. Parking is a challenge too so carpool if possible. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious. A good mix of classics and unique dishes. I was meeting a group of 7 today, so I tried to join the waitlist. Because the group was 7, Yelp wouldn't let me join the waitlist, so I thought I'd call ahead to let them know we were coming. The employee told me I needed to download the "no wait" app to go that route. I did and that app is Yelp but on the restaurant owner side, not to be used by customers to join waitlists. So I went back to Yelp and joined the waitlist for 6, but included in the comment that it was 7 adults, 1 high chair and 1 sling. When they sat us, we were put in a booth that can hold 6. We managed but this was annoying. Service was outstanding after that. Try their seasonal drinks! They have a baby changing table in the large stall and plenty of high chairs. This place is amazing, we've had everything from their tacos, French toast, to biscuits and gravy. They have yet to put something we didn't love in front of us. It is affordably priced, kid friendly, and quick. Not to mention the aesthetic in this restaurant is lovely, and all the employees are so nice! Check them out if you get a chance! read more

Everything on their menu had a healthy twist to it, which if that's your thing this is the place to go. Service was attentive enough. I ordered the biscuits and turkey sausage gravy. It was mostly good, but since the gravy was turkey sausage it was just okay. Tasted like Thanksgiving, is what the Mrs said. The eggs were cooked exactly as how I wanted them, so that was good. The potatoes had a weird consistency and tasted like they'd been doused with onion powders, so they didn't really do it for me either. read more

This is a gluten-free review, as both my husband and I are allergic to wheat (but don't have celiac). We came here with an out-of-town guest after realizing the wait for Snooze across the street was about an hour. I'm so glad we did, though, because First Watch did not disappoint! While they do have gluten free options, they don't have much in the way of gf waffles/pancakes. I got the seasonal Mexican scramble, while the two others in our party got omelettes. After the wait to be seated, service was relatively timely and the food appeared hot and delicious. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to other visitors! read more

Great breakfast menu with creative seasonal specials. Try the avocado toast (my favorite). Their omelettes are stuffed full of whatever you order... mine had at least 4 chopped slices of bacon in the middle of it. They place a carafe of coffee on your table so there's no waiting for refills. They have several great morning "refreshers"... mixed juices, spices, etc.... yum! Our service has always been excellent. There is one "salty" waitress at this location that can be off-putting, but don't let that ruin your experience. She is very efficient. First time to visit First Watch. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We started off with the million dollar bacon drizzled with honey, yet it wasn't overly sweet. I called in around 10 am asking if there was a wait time for two people and they said no. We arrived at 1012 am.. and many people were waiting to get seated. It's understandable people arrive in a matter if 12-14 minutes. I put my name down on the wait list and asked if the bar was open seating. They said it was but it was full. I would keep my eye open while I was on the waiting list. As 1145 approached and I saw other people that came after me get seated. I asked where I stood in line since they were bigger parties. 12 pm finally came around and I approached the bar area and the lady at the front said that those were already reserved. I don't understand the seating process. The food was okay. They have a set alcohol menu. They can't add or take anything out. We also ordered coffee and the leave the coffee there to serve yourself. read more

I have to redo my review. I came to First Watch pre Covid. I ordered an omelette. I told my server to make sure that it was hot. When I got my omelette it was cold. I asked if they could warm it up in the microwave. The best that she could do was to put it under the heat lamp. I wasn't going to go for that. Bottom line is they don't care!!! This place was recommended to us and we have eaten there twice in the past couple months. I enjoyed the food both times. The first time ordering the breakfast tacos made with eggs and chorizo, and the second time the multigrain pancakes with bananas and granola. Both of them were excellent. The service the food and even the coffee were quite good and the prices seemed reasonable. We have not had a bad experience here yet and highly recommend it both in Highlands Ranch and the location on Yosemite. read more

First time. I had an hour and a half before I had to take my daughter to school. The food took a while to arrive and after I kept asking for the check and boxes, after third time it came. The food wasn't the best. It actually made me feel sick and my daughter threw up her blueberry pancakes in the car. I'm guessing something was wrong with the food prep. Many of the same folks who served us at the Egg and I on Yosemite are still there with their smiling faces and great attitudes. The menu is very different and if you are expecting your 'scrambled' eggs to look yellow, you will be as disappointed as I was. They look like an attempt at 'over easy' didn't work so they were mixed up. They are mostly white with some hard yellow. The avocado was turning brown. I really like their potatoes though. Prices are all over $10 and no options to order a la cart. For the price, I will opt for Snooze. read more

It was really cool. Hip and modern but still had classics. The breakfast tacos were phenomenal and I want to try some of the beverage offerings next time. The coconut water one sounded great but I needed coffee, which was also awesome. You guys are going toe to toe with snooze across the street which is no easy feat. Not much good to talk about. I was a long time fan of The Egg & I, so some friends and I stopped in yesterday morning. No green chili, no hazelnut coffee, and the biscuits and turkey gravy was cold hen it came from the kitchen. The only good thing was the woman who waited on us was very nice! First Watch is the perfect brunch spot! They have a wide range of dishes-- from eggs, toast, pancakes, sandwiches, and soups. They even make amazing avocado toast! I personally love their vegetable soup and the diced breakfast potatoes. They have coke products, but they also serve a wide variety of specialized drinks that are a little healthier. We love. Is location, and it's hardly ever too busy to get a seat. Their app is also great for adding yourself to the wait list on your drive over. All in all, I highly recommend first watch! read more

Hot and new! I am having the breakfast kale tonic, the millionaires bacon. And the pumpkin pie oatmeal... With cold brew coffee, organic as tech coffee beans. What an incredible new farm fresh restaurant. The selection on this menu goes from salmon, to quinoa, lemon ricotta pancakes, to straight up eggs Benedict. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is for a very real problem: they have no milk alternatives! I am truly shocked, and disappointed by that one small fact. Considering coffee is so important to people, and those of us who do not drink dairy would have nothing to put in her coffee Dash like me. At first we were concerned about being seated. It was so busy when we walked in, but to our surprise we were sat very quickly. We went for breakfast at this location for Fathers Day. We always go to the Yosemite location but the wait was so long. Anyway, my son put our name on the waitlist and we came here. Our waitress was horrible. She never checked on us, we needed to flag her down each time. She slammed the coffee and syrup on the table. First shouldn't syrup come with French toast,? Why are we asking? It's very expensive, which is fine if the portions are big but my avocado toast was Tibet and my daughter asked for scrambled eggs and it was as if they forgot and chopped a fried egg right at the end. I was disappointed but we didn't say anything there bc you guys were slammed. 80$ for 4 of us and no morning special drinks just 3 coffees and an Arnold Palmer. We will try the other location which we have always enjoyed to see if the potions are better there still or is this a company wide new policy? I do know the food is better at the other location. I have a gift card & the picture of the blueberry smothered pancakes enticed me. i was offered coffee as soon as I sat & asked if I wanted cream & sugar. Didnt come though. I gave my order, surprised no offer of water or upsale of bacon. I asked again for cream & sugar. It came when coffee cooled off. I heard another server offering flavored creamers!
