My best friend and I went to First Watch today for breakfast as a girls morning. Our server James was amazing. He was knowledgeable and helped us. Had a great time at first watch this past Sunday! I put my name on the waitlist at 12o'clock and didn't get seated until about 1:15 which made sense because it's a busy place - nothing the restaurant can do in that matter. Our server Tommy was so nice! He even kept his distance from the table when speaking to us which I thought was a nice Covid precaution on his part. The food was delicious and my boyfriend loved the bread his meal came with so much that Tommy let us know we were able to buy a whole loaf for the road! At first glance, this is a chic little rustic brunch restaurant. I ordered the Belgian Waffle and the person I came here with ordered some kind of ham sandwich (not sure what it was called) with the tomato soup. The service the day I came was rather slow, considering that this restaurant hasn't been opened for over a year, that didn't bother me too much. There were three servers (perhaps four but I only saw three) and about ten groups eating. It took about 20 minutes for our food to come out. The coffee mugs at our table were dirty, but we didn't need to use them. The waffle was a little soggy and I wish there was more of the berry compote, because it was very good. The waffle however, when cut, would split in half. Near the end of my meal, I also found a piece of lettuce in my waffle! It wasn't just laying on top, it was actually INSIDE the waffle, definitely wouldn't have known if the waffle didn't split into two pieces though. The syrup bottle given to use was also dirty because it was covered in dried syrup. The person I came here with also said that the sandwich was boring and was just average, but I'm not sure because I never tried it. I don't know if I would come here again, maybe only to try something else on the menu. read more

I was hesitant to eat here because it is a chain restaurant. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! My daughter has ordered the sweet honey pecan salad 3 times, it is great. I got the breakfast sandwich, it was awsome. My other daughter got the cinnamon pancakes, they were great! Our waitress was Laura W. And she was so attentive and fast and nice!! While I recognize that this particular location just opened, I have eaten at other First Watch locations and the shortcomings are consistent at all locations, as far as I have seen. We used to app to do call ahead seating which seemed to be a good idea since it was packed when we arrived. The hostess told us "there is no one in front of you, we just need to bus your table." We waited for 25 minutes while watching servers and bussers repeatedly pass "our table" without clearing it, but rather taking syrup, hot sauce, etc from it to bring to other tables. There was absolutely no sense of urgency with the staff. Once seated 25 minutes after promised by the app, we waited another 10 minutes for our server to approach our table. By the time she arrived, we were rather frustrated and ready to place our drink and breakfast orders. The service remained slow and disappointing. When the waitress brought our check, she made no mention of paying up front. The only way anyone in our party knew was because I had dined with First Watch before. We made our way to pay at the register, which had 6 parties ahead of us to pay. There was even significant wait to pay your bill! I really enjoy the food at First Watch but the consistent failures in service across locations makes a compelling case not to return. read more

Save yourself the trip and just drive to another first watch. This place is so dysfunctional. I placed a Togo order at 9 am sat there until 10 with out food . When I received my food it was not the complete order. When I was told multiple times I would receive a refund for my wait, no one could figure out how to actually refund the meal. What a major disappointment. My tip for management , train your people better. You had a blonde young lady cashing customers out explaining to customers how she was never trained. read more

For the first time, my family of five went there on 2/22/2020 at 9 am. We waited in the front, but there was no host to greet or acknowledge us. At the same time there was another guy that waited to pay. He was there before us and about 10 minutes later, a worker finally came to the front to bring him up, but totally ignored us. We patiently waited for about another 10 minutes but still didn't get greeted or helped. So we decided to leave. Ironically nobody even noticed that we left and they weren't even that super busy. It's a shame they let us go when there's still empty tables. We will definitely not give them a second chance ever! read more

I was at First Watch for the first time this morning ( a Saturday at 8am). The place was mostly empty with about 6 other customers in the place. It was a little odd that I was placed on a tiny 2 top right next to another party of 2 when the restaurant was mostly empty, but I guess they were planning for increased business to follow. Anyhow, I ordered the avocado toast which was quite good and the eggs were perfectly prepared. Too often places over cook the eggs so that that yolks are partially or completely solid, but these eggs were just right. I also had coffee which was not completely hot from the thermo container but is was caffeine and was ok with that. I also had a juice blend that was featured which was fine. We ate at a First Watch for the first time near Winter Park, FL a couple of years ago. My wife and I were happy to see one near us located in Audubon,PA. We went in for breakfast and were not disappointed. The food was good and the staff friendly. A comfortable atmosphere. My only item I would like to see improved is the coffee. I visited this location 3 times during a business trip. On my third visit I ordered carry out and had a mishap with my order. I called and the manager, John was very apologetic. He got my order remade and I was on my way in a couple minutes. Great customer service and delicious food! read more

This is definitely my new go to breakfast spot. It's so hard to find a good quality breakfast above your average diner food in the area. They have outdoor seating which is also a huge plus. The service was great, our attentive server was Laura. They have great handmade beverages, and a large food menu. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. The million dollar bacon is a must. If you are ordering a kids meal ( the chocolate chip pancake) be prepared for it to be larger than your child. It is a good price for the portion. The food presentation and the dish ware is also a plus. All of the staff including the hostesses were so friendly. Can't wait to go back. read more

My family of 4 went on Father's Day for brunch. After ordering, it was 40 minutes before we got our breakfast. One of the breakfasts came with toast instead of potatoes, and the chicken sausage was cold- not cold like cooled off, cold like defrosted and never cooked. Another breakfast came with a 4c4 piece of scrap paper on the plate under the breakfast food and another breakfast came with a random piece of bacon in the avocado toast. At the end a staff person delivered our receipt which was covered in food and said "you can pay at the counter". Great looking menu but the execution and service were terrible. read more

Service was very slow for how empty the place was. It took a while to be greeted by our waitress (long enough that we had time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted to eat). The waitress finally came over to offer us coffee, pour the 2 cups that were at our table, yet there were 4 of us. Then she left to get more cups, came back, poured the other 2 cups and left. She didn't ask if we knew what we wanted, didn't offer to go over the menu, nothing, just left. Once we finally ordered the food took a long amount of time to arrive, so did the waters we ordered, and had to ask for two more time's. The service at First Watch was terrible. It took them 35 minutes to get us seated, and the spot where we were seated is freezing cold, temperatures about 35°F. Even with the wearing 3 coats, we are all still cold. Then, our server was so rude and disrespectful (add name). She was not willing to make me a custom omelet. The wait for the food was even more horrendous, it took them 40 minutes to feed us. We are all starving and we put in our order 35 minutes ago. The avacado toast was brown, and the eggs were not runny. The only good thing about this restaurant is the orange juice. Also, someone (perhaps one of their servers, stole my $29 Lip Gloss. So let's start with that this location is new and they're still working out the kinks. They were short staffed both in the kitchen and with servers the day we went. I had to track down my own highchair for my daughter as the hostess forgot, the food took a very long time to come out and when it did the salads we ordered were delivered without dressing and we had to wait for our waitress to come back to ask for some. With that all said, the staff was all very friendly and apologetic and the food was delicious. I'll definitely go back as I'm a fan of First Watch but I may wait a little bit to let them finish getting the new staff up to speed. read more

The Audubon location is WAY better than the one in Gateway Shopping Center. Been here 3 times. Attentive, courteous staff. Food came in an appropriate time, and it was awesome! My wife got the tacos which looked awesome and she downed along with the açai bowl. I had the turkey sausage gravy and biscuits with hardwood smoked bacon. Tons of flavor! We love this place. I do agree with others that the coffee is pretty dreadful so we just stick with the water - which is great, as it's not jammed with ice. Recommend this place! read more

My husband and I really enjoy going out for breakfast or brunch, but lately many of our regular spots are not available to us. Fortunately, there is First Watch. I like the variety of offerings, and he's thrilled that they have grits on the menu (which he adds to his usual order--the Trifecta). Although I generally choose among the pancakes, waffles, or French toast options, I recently gave their oatmeal a try and have added it to my rotation. It comes with strawberries, bananas, and nuts, and there is brown sugar and milk for you to add as you prefer; plus, there's a yummy muffin on the side. All the servers are friendly and attentive. We have gotten to know both Ryan and Tommy especially well - they are both terrific! The facility is clean and appears to be taking COVID precautions seriously. We ate outside in the warmer weather, but feel safe even inside as the tables are well-spaced, and the room is airy. The portions are a good size, and the prices are reasonable. read more

This specific location does not know how to make a poached egg or listen to instructions. I've been there twice and both times the poached eggs were extremely over cooked. Along with the over cooking of the eggs, the potatoes in the farmhouse hash I ordered were burnt to a crisp. I don't mind if it's cooked a little longer but it's not good when it looks like it's been torched on fire and taste burnt. As far as the not listening to instructions part, my coworker and I had called in an order and he told them for my meal to not give me toast (I have a gluten sensitivity) and to NOT over cook the poached eggs. They did not listen and they over cooked one of the eggs and then they slapped the toast right on top of all my food, thankfully my sensitivity to gluten is not super severe but even still, it's not acceptable, the girl who took the order even laughed when my coworker told her that he had "specific orders" about there being no toast/not to over cook the eggs. That's rude to be honest. But it's not hard to read a ticket as it goes thru to the kitchen unless the girl that took the order over the phone did not put that in the ticket. Do better and please for the love of god, please teach your cooking staff how to cook a poached egg. read more
