* Jorge is a God-send for homeowners who use window air conditioner units, especially wall-mounted ones. One of ours was well overdue for cleaning & service, so Jeorge & company came to the house, pulled the unit from the chassis, took it to their shop, cleaned it thoroughly & performed necessary maintenance, returned it to the house, inserted it in the chassis, reassembled everything, & made sure that everything was functional in-place. All of that was for a quoted price that didn't change, & even included a new chassis seal gasket. * Jorge had previously done a repair on a legacy clothes washing machine for us. He was referred by whoever was still answering the phone no. for Tharling Appliance (no longer in business), our previous provider of service & repair for laundry machines. It was during that visit that I learned of Jorge being a provider of service & repair for window AC units. * Our previous provider of sales, service & repair for window AC units was Curry Appliance, also no longer in business. (My parents bought appliances from the Curry family in the 1960's, & I attended school with @ least one family member.) * Note: Due to the electronic and/or fragile nature of some inward-facing components of my window AC unit that have to be removed in order for the primary unit to be removed, I had to clean those electronic and/or fragile components myself. I wasn't discouraged by that, nor dissatisfied with the service call, but only mention it here for the sake of full disclosure. For others with wall-mount AC units, you already know that the homeowner also has to clean the interior of the chassis, too. * For an aging homeowner with a legacy clothes washer, & who also uses window AC units, Jorge is a dinosaur, in that his range of expertise & services is of a declining nature. I hope that he stays well & in-business for as long as we need, & that he encourages and/or trains a next-generation to take on the mantle for his eventual retirement. I called on New Years Day about dinner time expecting a voicemail, and Jorge answered the phone. He set up a time for the very next day to come by my house to diagnose the problem with my refrigerator. He was very polite and professional. He had given me a two hour time frame as he had some jobs in the morning. He texted me the next morning (this morning) letting me know his ETA and he was spot on, along with being at the beginning of the time he thought from our initial phone call. He quickly diagnosed the problem (a compressor) and even checked out an issue I was having with my washing machine all for the grand total of $45 ! He didn't try and sell me parts I wouldn't need to fix it. He gave me a ballpark figure on replacing the compressor and then answered my questions if it would be worth it or not. I looked at new refrigerators and then considered fixing my current one and he was kind enough to give me an exact price that was very good. I will most definitely go back to 1st priority for my future needs. It was on this past Saturday early morning I discovered my refrigerator was not working. It died! So I began looking on the web to find a repair service. I actually located two repair company's that I had used in the past and called them both and even left messages that I needed help as my food was going to spoil. I still to this day have not heard from either service! I was shocked. Well I went back to the web and was led to give 1st priority a try. It was an excellent choice it turns out. Within two hours I had a repair technician in my kitchen. The diagnoses determined I needed a circuit board that only could be located in San Antonio ! The first visit he showed up at the time we scheduled and agreed upon without it being some window of several hours (i.e., at 4:30pm and not between 2pm-6pm). The next day's follow up visit due to needing to obtain parts he showed up at the time scheduled and was not a minute late. Both days he took the time to explain what the issues were with the washing machine, the repairs required, and let me know what he was willing to put his name behind. Jorge was great! I called him with my initial concern about a major problem with my washer a friend gave us. He was super informative over the phone and gave me the beat and worse case scenarios to expect. He gave me a time frame of arrival and arrived on time! My refrigerator had been acting up for about a month. It got to the point that it would not cool at all. I called First Priority and Jorge was able to come out the same day. I was helping a friend (who is a single-working mom) find someone to work on her broken and outdated oven. Jorge and Hector did an awesome job! I called around 11am with a refrigerator problem. They were at my home around 1pm, explained everything they found and what it would take and cost to fix it. They not only fixed the problem, but cleaned up and put everything back in my fridge, and were finished by 2:00.
